Berserk God of War

Chapter 515: Chapter 515: Sikong Jing, Coming Out

At last, Yan Ruyu stated firmly, ”Now all we have to do is wait. Within a day, His Majesty will definitely send the Seventh Prince to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace to apprehend the suspect. Please trust this servant’s words.”

Ji Ming nodded emphatically, and then they waited and waited until the next afternoon, when finally an order arrived from the Imperial Palace guards.

It was an order for Ji Ming and Huang Yu to take all the Imperial City Guard to the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace to capture Sikong Jing.

”Haha, my beauty, well done, you really hit the nail on the head,” Ji Ming laughed and, after straightening his clothes, he immediately set off with an imposing demeanor. Unbeknownst to him, Yan Ruyu looked on with cold eyes, narrowing them and mentally sending him two words: ”Idiot.”

...

Outside the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, the place was teeming with people, all citizens of the Long Night Imperial City.

They shouted loudly, ”Sikong Jing, come out! You spy, come out and face your death.”

The Peng Family Master and others stood among the crowd, their eyes radiating cold light, continuing to incite the masses to shout, ”The Long Night Saint Dragon Palace is harboring a spy of the War Soul Dynasty, get out of the Long Night Empire.”

”Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, get out of the Long Night Empire.”

The thunderous roars entered the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, causing the inside students and others to exchange looks and prepare for battle.

Everyone in the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace had come to understand from these roars that Sikong Jing’s family was seen as spies of the War Soul Dynasty, and that there had been an open inquisition with irrefutable evidence.

”What should we do, Master?” Master Feng rushed to find Shen Qingye, asking anxiously.

If this was not handled well, it would be very troublesome.

The Long Night Empire would certainly send an army to storm the Holy Dragon Palace and capture Sikong Jing if pushed to do so.

So what would they do then, fight or protect?

Could they even defend against the might of the Long Night Empire’s forces and manpower?

At this moment, Shen Qingye was on the Golden Dragon Mountain, instructing Su Yuexi in martial arts. Without turning his head, he said, ”Leave it to Sikong Jing, such trivial matters should not bother me now; I’m busy.”

Upon hearing these words, Master Feng and the other elders were stunned. Was this considered a trivial matter?

However, Shen Qingye paid them no heed and continued to patiently guide Su Yuexi.

Only after the crowd left reluctantly did Shen Qingye turn to Su Yuexi and ask in a murmur, ”Soon, your husband will be expelled from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, yet your heart remains so calm—why is that?”

To this, Su Yuexi smiled softly, continuing to practice her sword movements...

”Master, Brother Jing is a great roc of the heavens; he will spread his wings and soar.”

”But he is also a home-loving roc and will soon return, and all I need to do is to take good care of our home,” she said.

With Su Yuexi’s words, Shen Qingye’s body shook slightly, and a complex expression appeared in his eyes.

”Compared to Ajing, Tan Yue is nothing but a scoundrel,” Shen Qingye unexpectedly cursed and, without offering an explanation, continued to teach swordsmanship to Su Yuexi.

Outside the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, the clamor grew...

Ji Ming and Huang Yu, leading hundreds of thousands of Imperial City Guards, thunderously arrived at the entrance of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace. In the presence of countless excited onlookers, Ji Ming stood tall and commanded, ”Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, hand over the traitor, Sikong Jing, and his family.”

Then, Huang Yu also shouted loudly, ”Sikong Jing, come out for trial.”

”I advise you not to resist and not to drag the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace into this, or else we will take the most severe measures.”

With those words, the surrounding crowd roared even louder, their howls non-stop.

”You have one quarter hour to consider. After one quarter hour, we will storm the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.”

”At that time, bear the consequences yourselves!”

Ji Ming continued to roar in anticipation, rubbing his hands together eagerly, wishing he could charge in immediately and take forceful action, but he couldn’t, for the dignity of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace had to be considered to prevent an all-out conflict that would be difficult to resolve.

If Palace Master Shen Qingye got angry and wanted to kill someone, it would be quite easy for him to do so.

Ji Ming valued his own life dearly and did not want to be the first one taken out by the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.

So they waited and waited, and finally, a quarter of an hour was about to pass, there was still no response from inside the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, no high-ranking elder came out to explain or to issue threats.

The entirety of Long Night Seven Dragon Mountain was very quiet, eerily so.

At this moment, Ji Ming chuckled and said, ”Commander Huang, it looks like the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace is indeed frightened and busily discussing countermeasures.”

He didn’t find the quiet eerie, but was rather full of confidence that if the Holy Dragon Palace had any response, they would have already acted.

Now, with not a stir from them, what could it be if not fear and apprehension?

Upon hearing this, Huang Yu also nodded, saying with a contemptuous sneer, ”No matter how powerful the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace is, it can’t possibly contend with our great empire. I guess their final decision will surely be to hand over Sikong Jing.”

”At most, they’ll just bark a few fierce words.”

Even Imperial Guard Commander Huang Yu said so, and Ji Ming was even more convinced that the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace was indeed scared.

He nodded with a smile and continued to shout, ”The time is almost up, Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, where is the person?”

No sooner had his words fallen than thud, thud, thud...

Heavy footsteps suddenly sounded, and finally, several people slowly emerged from the gates of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace. The one leading was Sikong Jing, and behind him were Su Zhenglong, Mei Xiaofang, and Su Yue Immortal, his three family members.

Aside from them, no one else from the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace appeared.

”Haha, Seventh Prince, it seems just as I predicted,” Huang Yu said triumphantly. As expected, the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace pushed out Sikong Jing and his family, they were indeed scared.

At that moment, the entire scene fell silent as everyone stared intently at Sikong Jing.

Suddenly, the aged voice of Peng Family Master rose, shouting loudly, ”Spy Sikong Jing, kneel down.”

”Kneel down, kneel down, kneel down...”

The crowd jeered in unison, their eyes filled with immense hatred towards Sikong Jing.

However, Ji Ming stood on his horse, staring directly at Sikong Jing and sneered, ”Sikong Jing, now all the evidence proves you are the spies, what do you have to say in your defense?”

”Right now, as the prince, out of respect for you being a student of the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, I will give you a chance to prove your innocence,” he continued.

After speaking, Ji Ming’s face showed a continuing sneer, for Sikong Jing had no chance of proving his innocence.

Now that even the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace had abandoned him, his downfall was imminent.

At this time, Sikong Jing slowly raised his head.

He smiled in response to Ji Ming and said, ”Very well, then I, Sikong, will now begin to prove my innocence.”

”Absolute Night Wolf Guards, bring the person out.”

As his words ended, seven hundred people suddenly appeared from within the Long Night Saint Dragon Palace, unmistakably the Absolute Night Wolf Guards who had not yet left, and in their midst, they were escorting a person – a figure with disheveled hair and covered in blood.

That person’s mouth was stuffed with a smelly sock, crying out muffled cries.

In an instant, Ji Ming was stunned, Huang Yu was stunned, everyone present was stunned.

This person who was being brought out, who was he?

And Ji Ming could be certain that except for himself and Yan Ruyu, everyone who knew about his plot had died.

Even the Peng Family didn’t know the specifics of the plan, so where did Sikong Jing get a witness from?
