Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1543: Chapter 121: Hill on Alert

”So, we have to hold on for two days with 200,000 more enemies?” Susu said with some difficulty, ”How many of those 200,000 will land directly on that island across?”

”Perfect Bald” was also a bit confused, ”Why so sudden?

What kind of tricks is William up to?”

”Snow Cloud Peak” pondered for a moment and said suspiciously, ”Is it because we won too easily that Triton appeared early... The other side can’t collapse that quickly, right?”

He mumbled as he dug out his tablet to confirm the next list of people coming to Aesces, ”Seriously, isn’t this causing me to be attacked from both sides?

Can’t I bask in glory for a couple more days?”

Hill, who had been listening on the sidelines, silently frowned.

He rummaged through the cloud ship and flew directly to Eosca Island... Why did he feel something was off?

Triton and Eosca had signed a contract with Teraxil over there!

If they wanted to let people in early, they had to meet the treaty’s requirements... Couldn’t be that the Moon Clan collapsed after just two defeats, right?

As for exploiting loopholes... Hill still trusted William’s professional standards in this area.

So, something must have happened on the Moon Clan’s side... After Triton’s statue was erected on Eosca Island, could it be that the arrogant God of Portals fell out with him?

But, this was the very opportunity he gave Triton!

Scaret sent so many lives, not for nothing.

Hill looked at the island below in surprise, ”Eosca, where are the people?”

”They went to the Desert Kingdom.” Aesces appeared beside him, ”This place was completely given to Triton, which is why 200,000 newcomers are coming.

The Moon Clan, huh~ they’re a bit bewildered now, having to switch factions so soon~

They now have to choose whether to follow Eosca to the desert to face new enemies or stay on this island, which is ready to be renamed the Eye of the Sea God, and continue fighting the Undead Tribe of Basia City.

The result is that more than half have left here... They seem to dislike the game of turning the tide when at a disadvantage, thinking it might be easier on the desert side.

Eosca isn’t dissatisfied though, he’s already found a foothold in my world... I think his goal might have solely been that.

He probably intends to use me to divert the attention of the Lady of Pain.

Then, that Wind Fairy suddenly disappeared... Her true form should still be in the Elemental Realm, the one here was merely an incarnation.

Presumably, they have other places to go.

Heh~

What do they take me for?

I’d like to see where she can run off to!

Heh~ Although the Lady of Pain’s claws were stopped outside my world, that doesn’t mean I’m her enemy!

Who wouldn’t pass on a message?”

Hill laughed, ”No wonder Eosca and Wendy’s attitude towards you was so strange, they seemed to be hiding themselves all the while, yet...

I was wondering, how could he dare to cooperate with Triton!”

Eosca surely knows the true name of the Lady of Pain!

Even if he doesn’t know this name is identical to one of Poseidon’s daughters, he should know they are from the same God System!

And Triton, these past few days, his attitude towards Eosca clearly changed... If they were initially partners harboring ulterior motives, this time Scaret’s actions could be considered an unexpected betrayal.

Evidently, Triton utilized some compensation clauses between them, causing Eosca to lose land to resolve calamities!

Hill, holding onto the ship’s railing, fluttered his long, thick eyelashes slightly... So, Triton’s mention of his sisters that day wasn’t without reason?

Sadly, even if he sensed something unnatural, he got preoccupied with laughter.

Hill slowly reined in his overly relaxed mindset, having no survival crisis in Aesces... This time, it was just ignoring trivial matters unrelated to him, what about next time?

What if someone wanted to target him?

Ellie, though not very capable, serves as Hill’s best warning sign in some regards.

If he doesn’t remain vigilant himself... the danger perception brought by luck can also be overlooked by a conceited mind.

A seemingly safe world isn’t absolutely safe.

He’s been too relaxed lately... But Aesces isn’t Teraxil!

The brief respite should end.

Aesces, on the other hand, wasn’t very concerned; as far as he’s concerned, Eosca treats Triton as a parasite yearning to attach itself, not fatal but annoying: ”Strange, many of them would rather go to the desert, even though Triton makes it slightly hospitable, it’s still uncomfortable!”

”And the newcomers?” Hill asked softly.

”Reportedly, they were island dwellers in that world, so more came to Triton’s side.” Aesces replied.

”There are also quite a few people staying on this island!” Hill estimated, ”It must be about 200,000 people!

And still growing!”

”Some of those who dislike the desert environment have already come over,” Aesces said indifferently. ”But this island can only accommodate up to 400,000 people at most, is that a problem?”

Just two days.

Don’t the newcomers still need a day to level up?

The Undead Tribe’s strength can hold up.”

Hill thought he was talking nonsense: ”That’s an extra 100,000 people!

The Undead Tribe had to sneak attack at midnight against 300,000 people; do you think they can fight two at once?

Wait, do you mean the Undead in other cities can’t come to support?”

Moreover, if ’Snow Cloud Peak’ is really at a disadvantage, the Eden side might seize the opportunity to make trouble!

”After that woman appeared once, the Mutated Silk Spiders became completely active, they’re everywhere,” Aesces said with a bad tone. ”I really don’t know what she wants!

But now, Basia City is actually the safest city... at least for civilians.

Even if the Moon Clan and the Undead Tribe go to full war, the main battlefield will be by the seaside.”

”What do you mean?” Hill was a bit confused. ”Other countries are one thing, but Danboro Capital... the Moon Clan made a fuss for so long back then!”

They forced the Finch Family and the traditional Great Nobility almost to the point of rebellion, and now you say it’s not as safe as Basia?

You must be joking with me!

Hill’s eyes were filled with disbelief as he stared at Aesces.

”The Moon Clan... didn’t touch the Cha Royal Family and the Ismael household’s estates.

And when the Undead Tribe came, Ismael thought the Royal Capital wasn’t suitable for another batch of troublemakers and estimated it wasn’t as dangerous, so the Undead Tribe didn’t have many people.

In contrast, Basia here has the largest number... according to William, also the strongest main force.”

Hill couldn’t help but tilt his head at him: ”Ismael says that, and you just believe it?

Shouldn’t you check this yourself?”

”Why?” Aesces asked puzzled. ”If they don’t care about their own lives, what does it have to do with me?

I offered a solution, they didn’t follow, so if something happens, it’s their own fault.”

Hill found it unbelievable: ”You can just wash your hands halfway like this?”

”I can’t manage everything!” Aesces said nonchalantly.

But, do you manage little?

Are all these World Masters like this?

Hill looked again at the constantly appearing Moon Clan below, waved goodbye to Aesces, and went back to see how William informed the Undead Tribe about the pressing situation they were going to face!

Especially Basia City’s main force.

Knowing they have a day’s advantage, the Moon Clan will never give up.

Aesces smiled as he watched Hill’s retreating figure... he understood Hill’s meaning.

But, as the World Master, he doesn’t need to consider what those ant-like lives think... creatures that rely on his breath to survive have no right to speak!

Hill’s character, it’s hard to say where it came from.

Not that naive innocent pure goodness, but a kind of goodness with boundaries.

A bit different from Orderly Good... yet not completely chaos.

Really a strange child.

However, such a person is unlikely to become a strong-willed ruler, yet... it’s reassuring to deal with him.

Especially now, Aesces suddenly finds himself surrounded by enemies.

He gazed at the renamed island below, a cold smile appearing... planning to join forces as siblings?

First, with the betrayal of the Goddess of the Sea, strike at his will, then bring out that Lady of Pain to perform what true sibling affection is?

Do they think this will make Aesces give up the idea of forever dominating the world?

Does Triton think that keeping a path open for the Goddess of the Sea was for past feelings?

Ha... too simple thinking!

Aesces glanced at the sun about to set... if he wasn’t this authoritarian yet slightly tender type, would only one Goddess of the Sea betray him?

When Hill returned to the Magic Tower, the Undead Tribe had already begun preparing for the war three days later.

They already knew that they must face the immense pressure of 400,000 enemies without any assistance.

Although the new arrivals, said to be over 100,000 enemies, will certainly not adapt to the combat style here in one day.

But since they are the extra portion... random spells can also cause huge damage.
