Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1514: Chapter 92: Chaos on Eosca Island

Although his eyes had always been sharp, Hill still couldn’t see the situation on Eosca Island clearly.

Using spells might help, but... the island was surrounded by a mist specifically designed to counteract spells like the Eye of Magic. Even the water mirror Hill cast was somewhat blurred, not as clear as his own eyes!

Hill seriously contemplated his own safety and suddenly realized... if there really was a spell that could harm him, it would directly violate the rules set by Aesces, and naturally, the vigilant World Master would throw it out of the world.

Aesces wasn’t afraid of fighting with them outside.

After all, Eosca now wasn’t as strong as it used to be.

Don’t be fooled by Triton’s willingness to cooperate with him, that’s because the world is very wary of the Ocean God System, making it difficult for him to enter easily.

The God System Triton came from has always been pragmatic in style... useless people and gods basically don’t exist.

How could they possibly help others fight, and then share the power they gained from the battle with those people?

Moreover, today’s moonlight was incredibly bright... so bright it dazzled the eyes, making it impossible for people on the ground to look up at the sky.

Especially those nearly transparent silk parachutes floating in the wind, merging into the silver-blue moonlight that poured down like milk.

Hill couldn’t help but glance at the large, round bright moon almost hanging on the sea surface... did the Undead Tribe request outside assistance?

Then he lightly leaped, and the cloud ship surrounded by the Phantom Cloud Technique sailed through the mountainous clouds until it was 5 kilometers away from the island.

In the mist thin as a cicada’s wings, a faint glow flickered, driving away the clouds above Eosca Island to a distance of two kilometers.

Hill didn’t want his actions to expose the movements of the Undead Tribe, so even though he used illusion to conceal his presence, he kept a considerable distance... after all, for him, observing from here wasn’t much different from watching nearby.

The Undead Tribe steering parachutes quickly appeared near Eosca Island.

These 12 hurricanes today have already circled here for the tenth time, and most people were obviously numb... although they tried to request the two Elemental Fairies to disperse these storms, unfortunately, neither of them could easily accomplish that.

That was Hill acting in anger, blessed by Nature’s Blessing, possessing natural wind series talents!

Unless Eosca and Wendy used power beyond their limits, even Wendy, incarnated as a Wind Element, couldn’t easily dispel... Hill dared to walk the edge, not afraid of being thrown out of the world for a slight transgression; how could they dare!

Anyway, each time the hurricanes brought a lot of sea fish... although they decreased after a few times, they still brought a lot of food, so the people on Eosca Island just roughly estimated how many times it had been... since there might be enemies, they had to confirm the effects of Great Sage Belfran’s spells... and then didn’t care anymore.

Then, they paid a heavy price for their carelessness.

The leading Undead Tribe persevered until the last hurricane reached the edge of the island, then frantically jumped down.

And those silk parachutes, soaked in the holy water of flames from the Sun God Temple, tied with highly explosive Alchemical Bombs, burned and rushed toward every corner of Eosca Island in earth-shattering booms.

Perhaps because the bomb blasts were too intense, Hill noticed the clouds frantically rolling and then starting to flash with lightning and thunder.

Then, the moonlight in other areas was obscured by dense clouds, leaving only the moonlight on Eosca Island, without clouds overhead, still bright as day.

”Ahhh! It’s burning!”

”Enemy attack!”

”Wake up quickly!”

”Damn it, where’s the rain here? Why is there still moonlight!”

”Stop being stupid, grab your weapons! They jumped down, their blood is definitely not full, start fighting!”

Although the Moon Clan still had some clever people organizing small resistances, but...

”Ahhh! Why am I losing health? Does putting out a fire burn health bars?”

”Shut up, you’re poisoned!”

”No, stay away from those silks! Don’t put out the fire, the smoke is toxic!”

”FUCK!” someone shouted, ”What about my house?”

”凸(艹皿艹)! Prince Alexis’ house is on fire too! Idiot! Even if you’re poisoned, you have to put out the fire! Don’t you want military exploits?

Where are the Priests!

Come detoxify quickly!”

”Don’t fucking call for the Priests! The ones who came got killed, damn it, they actually brought Priests for a surprise attack! Their blood is full!”

”What?”

”What kind of bastard would let healers take such risks? Aren’t their Priests girls?

”Truly, not gentlemanly at all!”

”Where are you from, you weakling, asking such a stupid question?” Finally, someone broke and cursed, ”If a female priest comes from the other side, will you just stick your neck out for her to cut?”

”Stop arguing! Fifty thousand people have already died! The resurrection time takes half an hour! What do we do?”

”Wait, there are people coming up from the sea... Hurry and guard the coast!”

”No way! First, regroup, quickly regroup! Do not scatter, they are constantly assassinating the Scattered Ones!”

Eosca Island was in chaos, but soon there were girls screaming loudly, ”No! The silk spiders! They’ve sent in the small spiders!”

”In the houses!

”Don’t hide in the houses anymore!”

Hill said ”Oh~” in realization; although the Moon Clan had a special ability to harm silk spiders, it wasn’t something one person could handle alone.

And because the moonlight was too bright, those silk spiders, a bit sensitive to the Power of the Silvermoon, would instinctively run into the houses once they awoke.

Those who thought they’d be safe hiding inside would probably meet a bad end... after all, even if not every piece of silk cloth had a Mutated Silk Spider, just having one means the number won’t be small.

Hill remembered that this particularly expensive silk could only be woven in the Forest of the Elves... The silk spiders grown from the leaves of the Crystal Fruit Tree that they feed on.

He could understand the merchants from Basia City not wanting to destroy them, and the gangster leader who was on good terms with Lucimar, willing to buy them cheaply.

Even though there were only a few hundred pieces, they used to be valued as highly as Mithril... you couldn’t even buy them with Gold Coins.

The only thing he couldn’t quite understand was how the Undead Tribe, who’d just arrived at Aesces and were without much money, managed to acquire these silks from the gang in such a short time.

From the way this gangster leader dared to test Hill, who was self-proclaimed as a sage, it was apparent that not only was he adventurous, but also particularly greedy; if he didn’t get satisfying benefits, he’d rather keep the silks until the spiders hatched.

At most, he wouldn’t have hidden the silks in his own home.

Moreover, how did they familiarize themselves so quickly to engage in such underground deals?

Feeling that the Undead Tribe was about to achieve a sweeping victory, Hill’s thoughts were already elsewhere... What surprised him a bit was that Alexis being absent was normal, but why did neither Eosca nor Wendy do anything about the chaos in the Moon Clan?

Where is that Prince Scaret? Doesn’t he have a Great Sage beside him?

Then he quickly discovered the reason.

In the moonlight, a silhouette wearing a crown and a luxurious silver moonlight dress sat silently in that full moon.

That was the highest Bishop of the Silvermoon Temple!

The moonlight dress she wore was woven from silver moonlight by the Goddess of the Silvermoon, and the silver crown on top of her head was inlaid with eighteen Moonlight Stones from the moon... personally picked from the moon by the Goddess of the Silvermoon.

Hill smiled; this must be the first slap Aesces is sending back.

As he thought! How could the proud and irritable World Master just accept it?

Although the battlefield was handed over to the Undead Tribe and the Moon Clan, he wouldn’t let the opponent’s high-level force have a chance to intervene.

This got interesting.

If the situation remained at a stalemate, would Eosca and Wendy still pin their fate on this world?

Mark City is indeed flying this way!

For Mark City, which has countless portals, Eosca, who can interfere with portals, is the biggest headache.

Once his power is restored, if Mark City’s people want to go out in the future, they might have to fly by themselves... and how many people those already-opened portals, some even inside drawers, would trap is something they don’t even dare to imagine.

If Lady of Pain still wants to allow the Multiverse’s powerful beings, with nowhere to hide, to take refuge in Mark City, only one between her and Eosca can survive.

Then there’s Aesces and Triton.

Aesces needs no further explanation, and Triton wouldn’t allow Eosca to use the power of this planet to hide Mark City!

So what’s he struggling for?

Therefore, Hill estimated, though Mark City’s speed is very slow, and it comes and goes as it can’t catch Eosca’s scent, it will find this world somehow in 20 years.

Eosca definitely won’t stay in this world for that long... If he can’t fully integrate into this world in five years, he’ll surely have to flee.

Triton is very shrewd!

He won’t fail to understand this situation... so, has Triton started reaching out about that portal Eosca controls with the Moon Clan?
