Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1534: Chapter 112: Aesces’ Malicious Words

Just as Hill had expected, Aesces made a major move half an hour after receiving the news.

In this world, after all, he is the strongest Controller... Previously, he hadn’t targeted the ocean, largely because Triton had already merged with the divine power within Aesces’ ocean, making it somewhat difficult for him to deal with, but also partly because he didn’t want to completely sever the Goddess of the Sea’s retreat.

After all, she was once his companion during the loneliest and most desolate times... one could even say, his sister.

Initially, he was just controlling this planet, and later on, he gradually controlled the entire universe.

Although the Earth Deity System found controlling these planets easier than others, it still had to be done bit by bit.

At that time, aside from him, the ocean was the earliest creation in Aesces.

When he was born, he nearly swept across more than half of the universe’s energy, with Aesces as his main body; it was impossible for life, let alone the sun or the moon, to be born.

Only a weak Ocean God appeared atop the planet tens of thousands of years after he was born, absorbing energy less voraciously, finally emerging under the still faint light of the newly appeared sun and moon.

Though fearful that Aesces would revert her to her prototype, the Goddess of the Sea was very timid, never daring to surface when he appeared above the planet, but at that time, even Aesces, who also felt lonely, was quite pleased with her appearance.

Though possibly due to the fact that most life in the ocean consists of unintelligent algae and invertebral creatures, her intelligence grew very slowly, even less than half of the two deities who appeared from the sun and moon 100,000 years later, but Aesces did, indeed, have a tiny bit of affection for the Goddess of the Sea who had once alleviated his loneliness.

Of course, these feelings dissipated almost entirely when she inexplicably took a liking to Triton, yet he still left the Sea Swallow Goddess with a chance for resurrection after being tricked to death by Triton.

However, as Aesces quietly mobilized the earth, causing the sea bottom under the ocean to silently solidify and eliminating any large gaps like trenches, he wore a slight cold smile... As it turns out, some things Triton said might actually be true?

He certainly wasn’t interested in Aesces’ universe for nothing.

The Ocean Gods have their territory in every major universe, just like Triton, son of Poseidon... although they dare not provoke worlds like Toril, there are indeed countless worlds beneath their fish tails to go to.

In the Multiverse’s Ocean God System, since there exists an Alliance of Love of the Sea, a kind alignment ocean deity, naturally there should be other places where the sea gods congregate.

Triton must have received the flirtation thrown over by the Goddess of the Sea at such gatherings, right?

For him to easily obtain a world, merely by killing the World Master of an Earth Deity System world... What does that even count for Triton?

Sadly, he fed a rare dose of goodwill over the years... to dogs, who eat it but find it distasteful.

Meanwhile, the one who fed her crap, she considers genuine?

No, it’s not that... Aesces quietly thought, she’s already been consumed by desire, spat out her brains as excrement... After all, she’s merely a Seven-gill Eel, isn’t she?

As long as Triton can kill him, the World Master, she feels she can transcend the universe?

The most unacceptable thing for Aesces is... Triton has actually been hinting to him all along that his dog is the true culprit behind everything, even Triton himself despises it.

He simply remembers the little pitiful one who panicked and submerged into the water when he passed by...

Perhaps just like Hill always quietly says about him... self-important, stubbornly opinionated, and in the end, he dies by his own hands.

Aesces rarely embodied a tall form... Bronze body, deep and chiseled face as if sculpted by knife and axe, golden eyes burning like dark golden flames... quietly gazing at the sea.

The nautilus on Eosca Island slowly opened, the statue of Triton flicking its tail dropped into the sea... countless ice arrows and water balls shot up at the towering figure in the sky.

His power was not strong, after all, Aesces in the sky is merely a phantom, but the meaning was deep... Hey~ buddy, you’ve finally come to realize who the protagonist of those past times really was, haven’t you?

However, at this moment, the power that had once belonged to the Goddess of the Sea, now Sea Queen, is now completely grasped by Triton.

Thus, it is only now that Triton truly stands before Aesces, becoming his true enemy.

Even if Aesces chooses to close up everything beneath the ocean, it’s already too late.

He either has to reboot the world or accept that Triton is already the Controller of all water sources of Aesces.

But even if Aesces reboots, at most it suppresses Triton’s presence, but can’t entirely expel him from his world... for even the ocean’s source of this world has completely turned into a pile of rotten flesh, of no use besides providing energy.

The day Triton asked the Scaret Royal Family to build his temple on the opposite side of the continent was the day he completely crushed the Goddess of the Sea’s divine sense.

Moreover, he hasn’t violated any of the agreements with the Goddess of the Sea... The name of Sea Queen remains hers, she can accept the faith of Scaret and even everyone on the continent, and her priests can still possess powerful Divine Grace.

However, she simply can no longer feel it.

Aesces was silent for a long time before he came to terms with the reality that he was one move short, but he wouldn’t give up at this point... After all, the world is still moving forward, so he’ll wait and see what the future holds.

Triton has merely officially become a member of Aesces’ deities, but this does not mean he can already suppress the will of Aesces’ main body.

Since there are Undead Tribe here now... Aesces suddenly laughed: though due to his recent disruptions, his world has turned into a battleground between the Undead Tribe and the Moon Clan.

But conversely, this also forced Triton to change his long-hidden plot.

Otherwise, how would he have so early on completely devoured the Goddess of the Sea’s divine sense?

Typically, wouldn’t he wait until he and the secretly plotting Goddess of the Sea are both severely injured before making a move?

It seems Triton didn’t expect Rose’s existence, and... Aesces to act so chaotically.

When the God of Portals came, he must have realized that if he didn’t act soon, he’d likely end up merely watching others fight, right?

Triton’s style has always been flamboyant.

He prefers the grand entrance at the end, not concluding in a devastated world.

Without an audience.

Aesces tilted his head and thought for a while, then suddenly very seriously asked the beautiful mermaid below, who was cheerfully waving its tail: ”If you look down on her so much, how could you have children with her?

Could the Scaret Royal Family really allow you to treat their Old Grandmother like this?

Then...”

Triton slightly raised his head, reaching into the small pouch at his waist, and took out a delicate and beautiful purple shell: ”Ah, although Scaret indeed has some blood originating from the ocean of this world, actually, that child was made using the most beautiful shell of this world, mixed with my own blood.

You see? Where is a child from the Scaret Household as dumb as she?

They are all like me!”

”Are you sick?” Aesces couldn’t help but speak, ”Are your children... all made like this?”

”Heh~ Kids, the best should have no mother, otherwise life will be full of regrets and pain.” Triton rubbed his own conch and responded very seriously.

”You really are sick, aren’t you? Don’t you have a mother!” Aesces couldn’t control his emotions.

What the hell did he do to deserve enemies who are all madmen, right?

”I do! So I’m very frustrated.” The handsome Mermaid Prince unhappily flicked his tail at the sea, ”I have many sisters, too!

Heh~

Guess why I create children myself?”

Hill quietly snuck back into his laboratory from the viewing terrace where he was watching the commotion.

After hastily activating layer upon layer of protection, he banged the table and laughed madly.

Turns out, Poseidon, just like the legend, specializes in pursuing women who don’t like him... And they either run very well or fight very well.

Nobody is willing to give birth for him... Yet Poseidon never backs down... whether transforming into Medusa or a horse, in the end, they have no choice but to give birth to a child identical to their mother.

Triton’s mother, the famous Amphitrite, is always very tough.

If she hadn’t been unable to beat Poseidon, how could she willingly be queen to such a foolish and irritable guy?

She doesn’t even care who Poseidon fathers children with, as long as those people don’t appear before her, she can play dead till the end!

Moreover, Amphitrite is the original descendant of the Ocean Deities, Triton’s ability to transform sea creatures comes inherited from her, which is a complete transformation from the outside in!

Triton, truly worthy of being Poseidon’s son, is indeed... bizarre.

Aesces did not understand all the messed-up affairs of Triton’s parents, but he deeply realized that henceforth, he will certainly face a future of unrest.
