Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 364: Chapter 239: The Great Value of an Expert Appointment: A Miraculous Diagnosis

Wu Ting began calling out numbers.

Soon, the first patient walked in, guided by Yu Wanchao.

The patient was a woman in her mid-to-late twenties. She was tall, with a particularly ample and full bust.

Her boyfriend followed beside her.

After they came in, the patient, Zhang Yan, began to describe her recent condition.

”Doctor, I don’t know what’s been going on with me lately. I’ve been emotionally unstable, irritable, and I’ve been feeling some discomfort in my lower right rib area.”

”I had a check-up at my local county hospital yesterday. The doctor there told me my alpha-fetoprotein level was a bit high... I also had an imaging scan of my liver... But the doctors there couldn’t figure out the cause. So, they suggested I come to City First Hospital for an examination.”

Being told by her county hospital to get checked at City First Hospital’s Hepatic Tumor Surgery department had clearly frightened Zhang Yan.

Discomfort in her liver area and bad blood test results... If it really was something serious, she had no idea what she would do.

Wu Ting carefully reviewed Zhang Yan’s medical records from the previous hospital and began to ask questions.

”Any other symptoms? A bitter taste in your mouth, referred distending pain in your right shoulder, diarrhea, anything like that...?”

Zhang Yan shook her head in response to Wu Ting’s questions.

Wu Ting looked at her physical examination and imaging results from the other hospital. It wasn’t a liver problem at all.

The pain was just from an inflamed gallbladder, which would only require conservative treatment.

However, the elevated alpha-fetoprotein level with no apparent cause was still quite strange.

With his purple-level Diagnosis Skill, Wu Ting was not only an expert in hepatic tumors but also had a deep understanding of diagnosing other types of tumors.

Zhang Yan was dressed quite sensually. The neckline of her top was very low, leaving the area around her collarbones completely exposed.

Wu Ting happened to glance over and noticed something was off about the skin below her collarbone.

His professional instincts made Wu Ting take note of a slight abnormality in the patient’s skin.

”Come with me.”

Wu Ting gestured for the patient to go behind the curtain at the back of the room.

”Yang Xiao, you come over too.”

After all, he was examining a female patient. To avoid any impropriety, Wu Ting called over Yang Xiao, who was also a woman.

”Lift up the area around your ribs... Have you ever felt any skin abnormalities, like swollen lymph nodes in your waist or abdomen...?”

Zhang Yan shook her head no again.

Wu Ting gestured again.

”Any red spots or spider veins on your head, neck, chest, or arms...?”

These were all classic physical signs of liver cancer, so Wu Ting was checking carefully in case the imaging reports were incomplete.

Zhang Yan still denied it, but after a moment’s thought, she said:

”Director Wu, I do have swollen lymph nodes under my armpit. I’ve never had them before.”

Hearing this, Wu Ting paused. A possibility occurred to him, and he pressed on.

”What about other symptoms? I’m referring to your breast area...”

As a doctor, Wu Ting was perfectly composed. However, he was very young and handsome. When he asked about such a sensitive area, Zhang Yan blushed slightly.

Even Yang Xiao, standing to the side, was dumbfounded. ’Aren’t we checking for a liver problem? Why is Director Wu asking about *that*?’

To be fair, that part of Zhang Yan was indeed impressively large and full. Even she, another woman, was a little curious.

’That’s right, she had never experienced what another woman’s chest felt like!’

’It’s just that she was as flat as a board.’

Watching the consultation between Wu Ting and Zhang Yan, she thought that if Wu Ting hadn’t called her over as a chaperone, and if he hadn’t been so rigorously professional in his questioning, one might really think he was taking advantage of the patient.

’Just imagine it,’ she thought, ’doing *that* kind of thing behind a curtain, in a public place, with a female intern like me here, and the patient’s boyfriend right outside... that’s too wild!’

Although Yang Xiao was as chaste as they come, it didn’t mean she hadn’t browsed her fair share of *certain* websites. To increase her theoretical knowledge for... talking dirty, she had even registered an account on a ”legitimate” porn site.

Watching the interaction between Wu Ting and the female patient, her mind couldn’t help but go into the gutter.

Zhang Yan looked at the handsome Wu Ting and said in a voice as soft as a whisper:

”Dr. Wu, my left one... it has a small lump, too...”

Wu Ting’s brow furrowed. He basically had his answer. He continued asking:

”Have you noticed any small indentations appearing on the normally smooth, rounded curve? Like little dimples?”

Hearing Wu Ting’s description, Yang Xiao was completely baffled. ’Can that place even get dimples?’

Zhang Yan, however, looked shocked. She instinctively covered her chest with her hand.

”Director Wu, you... how did you know...?”

That part of her body had developed at an astonishing rate since middle school, which made her very self-conscious. She didn’t want any attention on it and particularly hated being looked at.

After she got a boyfriend, she grew to despise having them looked at or touched. To this day, she still kept her top on whenever she was with him.

Hearing Director Wu describe it as if he had seen it himself made her lose her composure.

Hearing his girlfriend’s strange cry, the boyfriend, who was outside the curtain, immediately barged in.

”Yanyan, what’s wrong?”

Seeing her boyfriend come in, Zhang Yan’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Wu Ting was in no mood to explain the situation to the patient and her boyfriend. He just wanted to confirm the diagnosis as quickly as possible.

Wu Ting gestured for the patient’s boyfriend to leave first.

Blushing, Zhang Yan also waved her boyfriend away, a mix of embarrassment and annoyance on her face.
