Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 356: Chapter 236: Builder of a High-Level Medical College

”This product is perfectly compatible with the latest drug-eluting technology. For this type of stent, the drug-eluting process depends on the type and amount of the drug, as well as the loading method. For example, grooves can be etched onto the stent’s surface and filled with small polymer molecules containing the drug, or a mixture of polymer and drug in a specific ratio can be coated onto the stent’s surface via dip-coating or spray-coating...”

”This brand-new polymer stent serves as both a carrier for the drug and a platform for its release...”

Watching Wu Ting’s presentation, the top experts in cardiac surgery were now the ones buzzing with excitement and sharing the news.

Scholar Jiang was especially moved by Wu Ting’s achievement.

He understood that after today, the debut of the bioresorbable polymer vascular stent developed by Wu’s Pharmaceutical Company would officially usher in the era of absorbable polymer stents—the true fourth generation!

Wu Ting’s new breakthrough also represented a major step forward for Scholar Jiang’s own team and their massive research project, ”Applied Research on Hybrid Technology in Cardiovascular Surgery,” where they had been struggling to make progress.

With that, Wu Ting concluded his presentation.

Just as Wu Ting was about to step down, he was called over by Scholar Jiang and Scholar Zeng.

Both scholars were incredibly excited.

Especially Scholar Jiang:

”Dr. Wu, I am so thrilled to have heard your lecture and seen your paper today.”

”Your bioresorbable polymer vascular stent is truly the most remarkable invention I’ve seen in the field of cardiovascular disease recently.”

”This achievement of yours is truly extraordinary. Please allow me to offer you my deepest respect!”

Scholar Jiang’s feelings were genuine; Wu Ting’s achievement had truly moved him.

Wu Ting hadn’t expected to earn such high praise and admiration from Scholar Jiang.

”Scholar Jiang, you flatter me.”

Scholar Jiang wanted to speak with Wu Ting at length, but since today was, after all, the conference for drafting clinical guidelines, he had to save the conversation for later.

”Dr. Wu, let’s exchange contact information. After the conference, I’d like to invite you to my office for a proper chat.”

Scholar Jiang took out his phone.

”Dr. Wu, I’m Meng Chao’s teacher, Zeng Jiu. Let’s add each other too.”

A little displeased that Jiang Keji had cut in, Zeng Jiu, who was standing nearby, also took out his phone.

The department heads standing nearby could hardly believe the way the two scholars were acting.

’This Wu Ting is truly something else,’ they thought, ’to have two scholars vying for him.’

Unwilling to be outdone, Scholar Zeng said:

”Wu Ting, I’ve been following your work for a long time. My student, Ma Mengchao, has collaborated with you extensively. With you attending this conference, we’ve finally had the chance to meet.”

”I was already incredibly impressed with your research project, but you’ve given me yet another surprise today. I thought your work was limited to hepatobiliary surgery, but you’ve managed to make a breakthrough in cardiac surgery as well.”

”Impressive, young man. Truly impressive.”

After another round of praise, Zeng Jiu began to offer some advice:

”However, Dr. Wu, I believe one’s energy is finite. I suggest that you first fully complete your research on the curative treatment protocols for primary liver cancer caused by hepatitis B before expanding into cardiac surgery.”

”If you’re willing, you can come to the Hepatic Tumor Surgery department at our Jiuhua Hospital. I can personally arrange a collaborative research post for you.”

Wu Ting politely thanked Scholar Zeng for the invitation.

”Thank you for thinking so highly of me, Scholar Zeng. I feel the same way. However, my current research on the new drug, Fengmu Tiada, has reached the preclinical stage. The rest of the work can only proceed once the drug enters clinical trials. Only then can I combine it with Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization to complete the third phase of my study.”

”I’ve already assigned a research team to manage that.”

”As for me, I’ve shifted my focus for two reasons. First, I’m trying to find a surgical solution for a friend. Second, my postgraduate mentor, Shen Siyuan, is a professor of cardiac surgery, so I plan to begin studying surgical techniques in that field.”

”Besides, emergency cardiac surgery is a vital component of general emergency surgery.”

Wu Ting spoke with such articulate confidence that Scholar Zeng couldn’t find any fault in his logic. ’It does make sense when you think about it,’ he conceded to himself.

Scholar Jiang seized the opening.

”Dr. Wu, that’s an excellent way to think about it. Clinical cardiac surgery is indeed a crucial part of emergency surgery.”

”Since your mentor is a physician in the cardiac surgery department at Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital, it’s a great idea for you to pursue further training in cardiac surgery at Haijin Port.”

”Once you’ve built a solid foundation at Haijin Port, you’ll be welcome to come to our Fuwai Hospital for advanced studies.”

’Wu Ting has only learned one or two cardiac procedures so far,’ Scholar Jiang mused. ’His fundamentals are still a bit lacking. Zeng Jiu can invite him directly, but I can’t.’

His team didn’t accept beginners. Its members were all well-rounded, experienced cardiac surgeons who had gone through a rigorous selection process. Since Wu Ting’s primary expertise was still in hepatobiliary surgery, it wasn’t appropriate to invite him for training at Fuwai just yet.

’Inviting him over after he’s gained more experience at Haijin Port would be the best, most systematic approach to his training.’

Scholar Jiang thought for a moment more, then added, ”Dr. Wu, if you’re serious about pursuing a future in cardiac surgery, I suggest you participate in the first International Skills Competition for Cardiovascular Surgery in the Asia-Pacific Region.”

”This competition will bring together young cardiovascular surgeons from seven countries in the Asia-Pacific Region to compete.”
