Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 241: Chapter 239: Summoning Brings Forth Two Heroes

Death Incarnation, Skeleton Gunners, Skeleton Two-Handed Swordsmen of the Bone-Slaying Camp, the Withered, and Ghosts.

Under Gu Xi’s command, all the undead pressed towards the direction of the last six knights.

The six knights were strong, but even they had their limits. Under Gu Xi’s relentless attacks, they could only hold on for five or six more minutes before all perishing at the hands of Gu Xi’s undead.

Even so, they still managed to kill nearly three hundred undead in the end, and even the Death Incarnation was almost destroyed by them.

During those five minutes, Gu Xi didn’t pay any attention to the battle over there and focused all his attention on the corpses of the deceased.

Although it was certain that the ghost’s corpse powder couldn’t be used for summoning, there were still many skeletons, zombies, and peculiar corpses here. Gu Xi didn’t miss a single one, utilizing a wave of Soul Summoning Skills on all of them.

Gu Xi was in a race against time with his subordinates.

Gu Xi was unsure whether the water curtain that had been warded off would surge back in once the last knights were killed.

So these corpses could not be wasted.

Gu Xi’s success rate with summoning was now 55%, which was a more than half chance of success.

Over three hundred various undead were also considered a gain to Gu Xi, considering that this batch of undead were all warriors or boss level.

As long as he successfully summoned even one, Gu Xi would profit.

And Gu Xi’s idea was naturally successful. Three hundred plus summons were cast wildly, and he really managed to raise 164 new undead.

Among these undead were 89 warriors, 25 elites, 18 bosses, and two heroes, with the remaining 119 undead being ordinary undead.

This situation left Gu Xi stunned.

Not to mention others, but heroes?

Two heroes, this was a huge gain.

To know that under Gu Xi’s leadership, heroes had yet to appear. Di Mi could roam freely in Yalidu City, raising various demands just because she had the potential of a leader level.

Now with two heroes placed right in front of Gu Xi, just ask yourself if you’d be afraid?

The quality and talents of these two summoned heroes were not particularly outstanding, but Gu Xi was still quite pleased.

The first was a skeleton soldier, holding a pure steel two-handed heavy sword in his hand, clad in a set of Holy Knight armor. The helmet exposed his face, and his empty eye sockets didn’t contain even a flicker of ghost fire.

In the middle of his forehead was a sword scar, clearly a mark from his past life.

[Robbie (Level 0, Summoned Creature, Undead Hero): Experience (0/1000), Attack 2, Defense 0, Life 35, Mana 15, Talent: Slashing Kill (all subordinate soldiers’ slaying skills +1), Skills: Soul Summoning Skill, Two-Handed Sword Mastery (all subordinate soldiers, two-handed sword attack +1), Die Fighting, Never Retreat, Leadership (capable of commanding a troop of 70 soldiers +7 bosses).]

Robbie’s abilities seemed plentiful, but Gu Xi had long known that this wouldn’t work.

With only three skills, all being passive, his leadership skill was standard; all heroes could command a personal guard plus seven boss level subordinates.

This was the standard setup.

Die Fighting, Never Retreat was a skill that allowed him to engage in a head-on fight with enemies without being influenced by morale, especially when morale was critically low.

If this skill were on the side of beastmen or human players, it would definitely be a great skill.

But the problem is, discussing morale with the undead sounds like someone isn’t quite awake.

Thus, among Robbie’s three skills, only the Two-Handed Sword Mastery is somewhat useful, enhancing all subordinate soldiers’ two-handed sword attacks by 1 point, plus Robbie’s attack bonus.

In other words, under Robbie’s leadership, his subordinates at most get an additional 3 points in attack power.

At best, it grants the subordinates an automatic mastery of the slaying ability.

With such a hero, there isn’t much use.

But he is still a hero, with a name and some intellect, allowing for strategic positioning during battles, and that’s already enough for Gu Xi.

As for the other hero, his situation wasn’t much different from Robbie. He’s a zombie, and just like Robbie, he’s clad in a set of armor and wielding a long battle axe.

If not for the absence of a helmet, no one could tell he was a zombie.

His long battle axe bore black blood and dark green poison, making it look formidable.

On the chest of his armor, there was a design of a pure green spider, which seemed to be his emblem.

Regarding this, Gu Xi was a bit puzzled, as he didn’t understand why a hero wielding axes and capable of killing with one strike would dabble with poison.

It wasn’t until he saw his attributes that Gu Xi understood why this one looked so odd, as his own attributes were rather peculiar.

[Arroyo (Level 0, Summoned Creature, Undead Hero): Experience (0/1000), Attack 1, Defense 1, Life 45, Mana 10, Talent: Spear Halberd Soldier (for every level up, his soldiers’ attack and defense +1), Skills: Soul Summoning Skill, Poisonous Body (due to poison influence, becoming zombie soldiers doesn’t change the speed), Poisonous Bite (poisoned attack delivering 2 points damage per second to enemies), Leadership (capable of commanding a troop of 61 soldiers +7 bosses).]

From his attributes, it was clear that Arroyo carried poison, but this poison partially stimulated his body.

This made Arroyo not entirely resemble a typical zombie, and in terms of mobility, he was stronger than other zombies.

With the appearance of these two heroes, Gu Xi already had plans for their roles.

He decided to first have Robbie mixed within the Bone-Slaying Camp, as his mastery of two-handed swords made him well-suited for such troops.

Later, when the Bone-Slaying Camp trains a batch of Skeleton Two-Handed Swordsmen and transfers them to his command, the Camp can continuously recruit and train more.

In this way, the number of Skeleton Two-Handed Swordsmen with the battle style of the Bone-Slaying Camp could increase.

It’s known that one hero can command seven bosses, and each boss can lead a troop.

Even assessing at the most basic level, just Robbie could organize 210 skeleton soldiers.

The Bone-Slaying Camp garrison can arrange 200 skeleton soldiers, plus the original two skeleton bosses whose subordinates count close to 100 skeleton soldiers.

This way, the number of Skeleton Two-Handed Swordsmen could reach 500, and while they might not be soldiers of the Bone-Slaying Camp, they could operate alongside them.

Once the garrison level upgrades to level 7 and can accommodate heroes, Robbie would be positioned within.

This way, the Bone-Slaying Camp seamlessly integrates a hero and a troop, proving beneficial no matter how assessed.

As for Arroyo, Gu Xi planned to utilize him for arranging the Skeleton Gunners; anyway, Arroyo’s traits didn’t specifically enhance zombies but focused on lancers and halberd soldiers.

So actually, having him lead skeletons is plausible.

As long as he can enhance the battle capacity of the Skeleton Gunners, it is sufficient.

How the gunners coordinate in battle depends on Arroyo’s strategies.

Gu Xi believed that Arroyo could definitely bring out the excellent traditions of the Skeleton Gunners.
