Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 224: Chapter 222: Instance Plan

”Fu Gu, keep an eye on the Magic Plant District. Notify me when the troop count there exceeds 1,000.”

Gu Xi set a boundary for the battle in the Magic Plant District.

For small-scale battles, Gu Xi did not plan to command.

Anyway, every battle in the city gives him 1 point of experience.

However, Gu Xi turned to Luna and said, ”Luna.”

”It’s not possible, sir. We can’t cut in line anymore. I know you want to build Plunder Hall and the Magic Fountain first, but it’s really not feasible.”

”Alright then.” Seeing Luna’s troubled expression, Gu Xi could only say, ”You’ll handle the construction arrangements. It’s just a shame, as the battle in the Magic Plant District feels very much like a siege battle.

It’s a great opportunity to enhance our soldiers’ defenses.”

Regarding Gu Xi’s words, neither Luna nor Shaya responded.

After all, Luna had really been pushed to her limits.

Almost as soon as one building was completed, construction on another would start immediately, leaving no downtime.

Everything had already been planned out, with many resources placed on the plots; Gu Xi couldn’t just do as he pleased.

Luna quickly glanced at Shaya, who immediately understood.

”Sir, we still need to discuss the situation at Westminster Cathedral.”

”Alright, we do need to prepare for that. We can only restart the dungeon there at Westminster Cathedral five times. Initially, I wanted the guild members to scout for us.

Now this dungeon is crucial for us to enter Victoria City and potentially influence it.

Those five dungeon restart opportunities can’t be wasted on others.

We have only three opportunities to explore. After three attempts, regardless of whether we’ve thoroughly mapped out the dungeon, we must proceed with a full assault.

The last attempt is for emergencies only, ensuring we have a fallback plan.”

Hearing Gu Xi speak so seriously, Luna and Shaya also became focused.

”This dungeon has a level range of 5-10. We have only one person above level 10, the Death Incarnation.

He’s definitely needed. Apart from that, most of our forces are between levels 4 to 6, which is just up to entry-level standards for the dungeon.

Even I’m the same; I’m at level 4, but I’m stuck because I haven’t completed the prerequisite mission to activate my talent.

Although I have the assistance of two divine skills, ensuring enough manpower during combat doesn’t equate to combat power.

Our first entry into the dungeon is primarily for three tasks.

First, map the area and determine the enemy’s forces, numbers, and the situation with the BOSS.

Are there friendly forces inside Westminster Cathedral? What are their numbers? Can we enlist their help?

Second, pick up tasks. I’ve seen that there are ten tasks in the dungeon, two of which are exclusive quests, but we don’t know yet which profession they pertain to.

There are three external tasks that should be taken from Victoria City, but we can’t pick them up now.

Then there are five internal tasks, which we can undertake and complete within the dungeon.

If possible, during our fourth full-on assault, we should complete these five tasks to avoid problems during the formal dungeon raid.

Third, and most importantly, we need to check if the dungeon offers a path into Victoria City, and if so, what period of Victoria City we can enter.

This is the critical reason for attempting the dungeon ahead of schedule.

If we can’t enter Victoria City, after the first exploration, I’ll halt this dungeon attempt and only retry once our capabilities have improved.”

In gaming, Gu Xi is quite knowledgeable.

The dungeon crystal with only five uses has been methodically planned out by him.

With such calculations, Gu Xi is actually quite confident. The three failed challenges will certainly provide enough information for him.

Even early on, they can try a fight or two with a BOSS to test the waters.

By the fourth attempt, victory over the entire dungeon should be assured.

Listening to Gu Xi’s arrangements, Luna and Shaya nodded in agreement.

They also hoped to enter Victoria City through the Westminster Cathedral dungeon.

Otherwise, their connection to Victoria City would have to wait until after the seventh migration was completed.

If it comes to that, they wouldn’t even have a foothold, let alone a tower.

As they considered the first dungeon entry, Gu Xi prepared to gather enough supplies and to get his skills ready.

He had previously thought through at the Magic Tower which spells to copy into the reversed lich’s magic book.

However, learning Dark Knowledge had delayed this process.

Now, with some free time, he could finally address this matter.

So Gu Xi clapped his hands, ”If you both agree, then let’s get prepared. I’ll leave the city in three hours to learn how to start the dungeon.”

With that, Gu Xi waved his hand at Luna and Shaya, dismissing them to make preparations.

Gu Xi himself then took hold of the red thick-skinned book that always floated by his waist.

Though the book was as solid as a brick, it contained only five pages.

Each page could record a skill or a spell.

Gu Xi had long since chosen the skills he wanted to transcribe.

Upon opening the thick-skinned book, Gu Xi said to the first page, ”Soul Summoning Skill!”

[The Book of the Witch Lich has successfully recorded the skill Soul Summoning Skill, Soul Summoning Skill Level +1.]

[Soul Summoning Skill 5+2 Level (0/2500): Consumes 1 mana point, 1 unit of soul and 1 corpse, with a 55% chance to summon an undead to fight for you (Level 0, undead species can be skeleton or zombie, can grow, unlimited quantity)]

As the first skill was successfully recorded, Gu Xi’s movements became swift.

”Bone Storm, Skeleton Priest, Death Ripple, Magic Divine Arrow!”

[The Book of the Witch Lich has successfully recorded the skill Bone Storm, Bone Storm Level +1.]

[Bone Storm 4+1 Level (53/1000), consumes 5 mana points, creates a storm of bone fragments at a designated location, dealing 270% of your attack power as damage to surrounding enemies over 60 seconds, with the storm’s affected area being movable.]

[The Book of the Witch Lich has successfully recorded the skill Death Ripple, Death Ripple Level +1.]

[Death Ripple 1+1 Level (0/100): Consumes 10 mana points, dealing 65 + 15.5 * 3 total undead aura damage to all non-undead creatures within a 50-meter diameter.]

[Magic Divine Arrow 1+1 (0/100): Consumes 2 mana points to shoot a magic missile at the enemy, dealing non-attribute damage, with a magic missile power of 24 + 15.5 * 5 damage points.]
