Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 219: Chapter 217: Powerful Magic in the Magic Tower

With the completion of the White Bone Magic Tower, Gu Xi also learned about the situation on the Skeleton Mage’s side.

The Skeleton Mage here has a total of three skills. The Undead attribute is something all Undead species have, so no one can avoid it.

Then there’s spells like Lightning Arrow and Fireball Skill, which the Undead Mage randomly masters one of. Once mastered, it cannot be changed, and there’s no use complaining about this.

However, the Skeleton Mage plus the following three spells are different; those are learned from the Magic Tower, and one can only learn one spell at a time. If you want something, you pick it when you recruit.

But if you want to learn more, then sorry, you can only take this advantage once—additional learning requires going to the Magic Tower.

Looking at the three spells that Magic-Using Species can learn, Gu Xi became interested in the situation inside the Magic Tower.

Previously, Gu Xi did not enter the Magic Tower to focus on building the White Bone Magic Tower first.

Now, it was different; Gu Xi had everything sorted out, and he intended to enter the Magic Tower to see what he could learn.

When the White Bone Magic Tower was completed, Anthony was already waiting for Gu Xi outside the Magic Tower.

Seeing Gu Xi return, Anthony immediately came to greet him and led Gu Xi into the first floor of the Magic Tower.

Upon entering the Magic Tower, Gu Xi noticed that it was not quite what he imagined.

Inside the Magic Tower was a hall, with eight doors of different colors around it, each with different writings on them.

”Sir, this is the interior of the Magic Tower. Behind each door is a room, and by opening a door, you can learn the corresponding magic and skills inside.

The doors with gold trim are specifically for players to learn skills.

The doors with silver trim are places where players and heroes can learn magic.

The plain wooden doors are where Magic Soldiers come to learn spells.

Due to the connection with the White Bone Magic Tower, just now, another silver-trimmed room and a wooden door room appeared.”

Gu Xi thought for a moment and understood, so he walked to one of the doors and looked at it.

He found that everything was clearly written on the door.

[Dark Knowledge (Player Learning): Passive Skills, allowing players to learn advanced dark magic and enhance the effect of magic.]

Can research derivative skills: Master of Torture, Curse Master, Mind Master.

[Master of Torture (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Adds a group form to ’Rot Curse’ and ’Armor-Piercing Weakening’ magic, spell cost is double that of the single-target magic.]

[Curse Master (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Adds a group form to ’Weakness Curse’ and ’Painful Torture’ magic, spell cost is double that of the single-target magic.]

[Mind Master (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Adds a group form to ’Delay Technique’ and ’Mind Confusion’ magic, spell cost is double that of the single-target magic.]

Seeing the information on this door, Gu Xi knew that everything was clearly arranged, not only mastering dark magic here but also researching some derivative skills for follow-up.

With such a Magic Tower here, why worry about not mastering more advanced skills?

With this thought, Gu Xi wandered in front of several other doors.

The three silver-trimmed doors were where players and heroes could use magic, and Gu Xi was lucky that the magic the Magic Tower generated was quite good.

[Death Ripple (Player and Hero Learning): Consumes 10 points of mana, dealing undead aura damage totaling 50 + Intelligence * 3 to all non-undead creatures within a 50-meter diameter range.]

Can research derivative skills: Ripple Expansion, Death Despair.

[Ripple Expansion (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Expands the Death Ripple’s influence range to a 100-meter diameter.]

[Death Despair (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Enemies dying from Death Ripple have a 20% chance to trigger a new Death Ripple, with power equivalent to 1/3 of the deceased’s total life force (this skill does not consume the body).]

Once he saw the skill before him, Gu Xi understood that this was a big killer move, with the attack range and power clearly written, 10 points of mana, directly unleashing a big move, any Undead Mage would make the right choice.

Learn!

[Magic Divine Arrow (Player and Hero Learning): Consumes 2 points of mana, shooting a magic missile at the enemy, causing non-elemental damage, with the magic missile power being 24 + Intelligence * 5 points of damage.]

Can research derivative skills: Scattering, Elemental Injection.

[Scattering (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): With the same mana cost, shoots 3 magic missiles, without reducing the power of each magic missile.]

[Elemental Injection (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Allows an element to be injected into the magic missile, enhancing the magic missile’s power and effect.]

This magic instantly captivated Gu Xi; what was this magic missile? For Gu Xi, it was essentially a magic flying sword.

This is a type of magic similar to Bone Spike, but regardless of power or elegance, it surpasses that level. Once learned, Gu Xi could pretend to be a normal mage when going out.

So, this must be learned too.

[Flame Trap (Player and Hero Learning): Consumes 8 points of mana, placing 8 flame traps on the battlefield, each causing 50 + Intelligence * 10 points of damage.]

Can research derivative skills: Designated Explosion, Trap Overlap.

[Designated Explosion (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Trigger a premature explosion for the set flame traps when no enemy has stepped on them.]

[Trap Overlap (Level 1 Magic Tower can research, progress 0%): Set a trap again in an existing trap location, allowing explosion power to stack.]

This is the best means of catching enemies unawares on the battlefield; it may not be very useful when actively attacking.

But in a defensive battle, this is a massive weapon.

This must be learned too.

With these thoughts in mind, the magic book floating at Gu Xi’s waist floated into his hand, as he planned to record all of this magic in this magic book.

At this moment, Anthony hovered over, ”Sir, this magic book of yours looks like it came from a Witch Demon’s magic book.”

”Oh, this was ripped from a Witch Demon. The level of magic recorded in this magic book can all directly increase by 1 level.”

”Then sir, you must research carefully which magic spells to record in this magic book.”

Anthony leaned in with an expression of wanting to research together.

This made Gu Xi realize that he needed to consider his combat system and methods.

Not everything can be copied into this magic book; there are only five slots, so they need to be upgraded directly in one step.
