Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 227: Chapter 225: Entering the Instance (71/158)

Holding three battle flags, Gu Xi walked out of the Battle Banner Design Studio, casually draping one over the Evil Coffin.

After all, the smooth, mirror-like Evil Coffin needed a flashy cushion.

The second flag Gu Xi sent back to Yalidu City; it would be hung on the ghost soul banner pole above the city gate.

The last flag Gu Xi would carry with him, just in case an opportunity to use a battle flag arises.

After leaving the Battle Banner Design Studio, Gu Xi headed towards the large square, intending to go to the far end where players enter the dungeon.

Unlike the teleportation gate into the game world, this area was noticeably more bustling.

As soon as he entered the area, Gu Xi heard the noisy chatter.

”Zombie Siege, looking for a poison element Undead Mage.”

”Black Tower Hell, elite mode, kitchen knife team, need Death Knights level 5 and above.”

”Forming a group! 20-man group for the Thunder King Temple, first progress of the week, join while you can!”

”Level 7 Undead Mage, innate magic power, Sanderu’s standard, looking for a group!”

”Private instance, four-person with a sponsor, quick run for 3000 yuan, all loot included, sponsors welcome!”

”...”

Seeing the lively scene, curiosity flashed in Gu Xi’s eyes.

He had never seen such a bustling place before.

But Gu Xi had not forgotten his purpose for being there. He walked up to the area administrator.

”Hello, I’d like to apply for a private instance to be opened.”

Managing this place was about a Level 7 Undead Mage, wearing a yellow robe with a yellow talisman on his forehead.

When Gu Xi spoke, he looked up briefly and then said: ”Show me the Dungeon Crystal.”

Gu Xi held up the Dungeon Crystal in his hand.

The Undead Mage took one look and said, ”A dungeon for Level 5 to 10, what are you going to do with it? Get yourself killed?”

”Just want to explore a bit.”

”No, you can’t go in. There’s a level restriction, it’s for Level 5 to 10, and you’re only Level 4. Just level up and activate your talent to Level 5 before going in...”

Before he finished speaking, Gu Xi placed 100 yuan on the table.

”Well, entering early isn’t impossible, but the level 5 dungeon is significantly more dangerous for anyone below level 4.”

While saying this, the Undead Mage signed his name on a slip of paper.

After making sure that Gu Xi understood the dangers of the level 5 dungeon, he pushed the slip of paper across the table towards Gu Xi.

”You see that black teleportation gate over there? Ask the gatekeeper to increase the activation energy by 23%, and you should be fine. Remember to stay safe and don’t die in the dungeon.”

Taking the slip, Gu Xi said, ”Thank you!”

Watching Gu Xi leave, the Undead Mage shook his head, ”Young people these days, rushing headlong into high-level dungeons with only a level 4, not knowing what death even means.”

Gu Xi couldn’t care less about the Undead Mage’s sighs.

Holding the slip, Gu Xi followed the Undead Mage’s instructions and walked to the black teleportation gate.

A black Sewn Monster was standing at the gate and spoke slowly as Gu Xi approached: ”This is the opening point for middle and high-level private instances, are you sure you’re in the right place?”

”Yes, this is the private instance I want to open; here’s the entry agreement. The Undead Mage over there said to increase the activation energy by 23%.”

”Increase by 23%? That allows entry without level restrictions, but only one person can enter at a time, not in a group. Even the Undead minions can’t be brought, they’ll need to be summoned inside the dungeon.

Are you going in there at level 4 to die?”

Hearing this, Gu Xi turned to look at Shaya.

Without a word, Shaya moved with Vampire Knight behind Gu Xi.

A shadow of the city gate appeared and sent Shaya back to Yalidu City.

Seeing the city gate shadow behind Gu Xi, the Sewn Monster understood Gu Xi’s confidence.

Turns out he mastered the Death City skill, then there’s no problem.

The Three Divine Skills can be used anywhere, and having Death City turns dungeon battles into a siege and defense operations.

What more is there to say?

Just send him through.

The Sewn Monster spun the lever in front of the teleportation gate, raising a platform from the ground.

”Place the Dungeon Crystal on top; I’ve adjusted the energy. When the Crystal glows, you can enter.”

With that, the Sewn Monster kept turning the handles near the platform, causing streaks of lightning to strike the Dungeon Crystal.

Gu Xi stood near the platform with his Cold Wind Staff, watching the Dungeon Crystal being struck by lightning.

When the Dungeon Crystal was fully illuminated, Gu Xi stepped forward swiftly, entering the glow of the Dungeon Crystal directly.

[Player 629SHD2S0FXC30, you are entering the dungeon: Westminster Cathedral Event teleportation gate zone, level range 5 to 10, do you wish to enter the dungeon?]

Seeing the message pop up, Gu Xi decisively said, ”Enter!”

[Activation energy change detected, dungeon: Westminster Cathedral Event entry conditions altered, dungeon level unchanged, entry range unrestricted, only one person allowed entry.]

[Dungeon: Westminster Cathedral Event (Level requirement 5-10)]

[Dungeon tasks: 3 external tasks (0/3), 5 internal tasks (0/5), 2 exclusive tasks (0/2)]

[Dungeon BOSS: Five (0/5)]

[Dungeon rewards: Purple Equipment (guaranteed 1 item), Blue Equipment (guaranteed 5 items), Green Equipment random drop]

As the messages appeared, a blur flashed before Gu Xi’s eyes.

Next, he saw the scene he witnessed when he left Westminster Cathedral.

The massive apple tree covering Westminster Cathedral, corpses hanging from the tree, human troops entering the dangerous area with no hesitation, led by Anna in charge of the assault.

Everything was as it was when Gu Xi left.

As if time hadn’t affected anything.

But the final panorama did brush past several key points.

The front of Westminster Cathedral, under the apple tree, within Westminster Cathedral, the rear graveyard, and the underground of Westminster Cathedral.

Gu Xi guessed these five spots should be where the five BOSSes are located, but no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t see the BOSSes’ appearances clearly.

Just as Gu Xi was trying to get a clearer view of Westminster Cathedral’s details, the scene suddenly cut off.

Gu Xi realized he was already standing at the bus stop for Line 19 outside Westminster Cathedral.

Outside him stood formally equipped soldiers, who reacted instantly as Gu Xi appeared.
