Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 217: Chapter 215: Activating Evil Wood Lake

After killing all the Deceitful Flying Heads, Di Mi elegantly took out a bottle of white wine and washed her hands with it before standing behind Gu Xi, as if it wasn’t her who had made the move just now.

Di Mi’s reaction surprised Gu Xi a little.

”What are you doing?”

”Before the three buildings I asked for are built, I won’t help you with battles, but if the city is under attack, I’ll definitely take action.”

Di Mi said casually, her tone and attitude as if saying apples will fall from the tree when they ripen.

Seeing Di Mi’s situation, Gu Xi couldn’t say anything to her.

After all, just now, Di Mi had indeed made a move.

Gu Xi could only have people keep an eye on this area, preventing any strange beings from rushing into his city at any time.

At this moment, Shaya also came over.

”My lord, there is something you might want to come and see.”

Hearing Shaya’s words, Gu Xi didn’t say much more to Di Mi and followed Shaya to the previous battlefield location.

At this moment, Gu Xi noticed that where the Deceitful Flying Heads had fallen, there seemed to be some black liquid left behind.

Gu Xi extended the Cold Wind Staff and tapped on those droplets, and a message popped up in front of him.

[Discovered Mysterious Evil Liquid (Gray) *1]

[Mysterious Evil Liquid (Gray): The liquid formed after the death of a killed mysterious creature, this eerie liquid seems to carry a peculiar power.]

[Special material discovered, would you like to unlock the activation effect of Evil Wood Lake?]

Gu Xi was shocked in his heart, could this be related to Evil Wood Lake?

Thinking of this, Gu Xi hurriedly checked the activation method of Evil Wood Lake.

[Evil Wood Lake (Special Building, Inactive): Using Evil Wood Lake as a lure, attract mysterious creatures to fetch water, and surround and kill the mysterious creatures. Once the number of mysterious creatures killed and thrown into the lake reaches 1000, Evil Wood Lake can be activated.]

[Once Evil Wood Lake is activated, all creatures in the city will have Life Force +10, all arrow towers will automatically gain a poison attack effect, and a toxic cloud layer can automatically form above Evil Wood Lake, changing the territorial environment of the nearby area.]

Looking at the activation method and the effects after activation, Gu Xi glanced up at the location of the tentacle roots.

It seems these Deceitful Flying Heads were attracted by this thing.

And to activate this thing, another big battle is needed.

Just as Gu Xi was pondering this issue, Luna had already arrived with the troops.

These troops were the ones Gu Xi ordered to be mobilized when he discovered the issue.

Although it seems they arrived a bit late now.

”Leave the Corpse Poison Flies, Luna, bring some more Skeleton Shooters, let the Stone Golems go back first, Skeleton Mages come to clean the battlefield, and take this black liquid to the lake over there.”

Looking at the troops that had been mobilized, Gu Xi simply put them to work.

When Luna returned with more Skeleton Shooters, the activation progress at Withered Wood Lake had already changed to (11/1000).

At this moment, Gu Xi took Luna to the top of the city gate, pointing to the distant mist and saying.

”Do you still remember the design plan for the Energy Lighthouse? Look at the time schedule and build the Energy Lighthouse in this location to illuminate the mist ahead.”

”My lord, we haven’t yet understood the effect of the Energy Lighthouse, wouldn’t it be a bit wasteful to use it like this?”

”It’s fine, just build it first. The Magic Plant District is quite dangerous now. Even if it’s not used to illuminate the mist, it can be used to enhance the combat power around the Magic Plant District.”

Luna had also noticed the situation in the Magic Plant District from earlier, which appeared somewhat precarious.

If there isn’t a stationed army, if something happens, the Magic Plant District will fall within the attack range of strange beings and Deceitful Shadows.

”I understand, I’ll have Fuguduo keep an eye on this place.”

”Okay, you handle things here, and by the way, the activation of Evil Wood Lake has already started. After killing the strange beings, throw their bodies into the lake, and once it reaches a thousand, it will be activated.

But I have a feeling this isn’t the limit of Evil Wood Lake; you need to keep a close watch over here and kill and throw any strange beings into it.

This is a long-term task, and when I’m not around, it’s all on you.”

”Please rest assured, my lord, I will keep this in mind.”

”Alright then, let the Corpse Poison Flies patrol nearby, and arrange as many Skeleton Shooters as you have here, the Skeleton Mages will come with us to visit the newly built Magic Tower.”

Once the matter was settled, Gu Xi finally let go of a burden on his mind.

He then led the troops from the Magic Plant District towards the direction of the Upper City District.

After exiting the Magic Plant District, the style of twisted trees everywhere disappeared.

In its place was the unique style of the Upper City District buildings.

However, Gu Xi noticed one thing: Di Mi, who had been following behind, was no longer in sight.

”Hmm, where did Di Mi go? Wasn’t she idle? Why is she missing?”

”Di Mi found the Magic Plant District more interesting, so she stayed there.”

Shaya explained to Gu Xi.

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi understood, what does it mean by the Magic Plant District being more interesting? It clearly means she hadn’t had enough of a killing spree earlier and was planning to catch the strange beings coming to her net in the Magic Plant District.

Faced with such matters, Gu Xi wouldn’t oppose it, since Di Mi was idle anyway.

And with her combat power, being stationed in the Magic Plant District would be beneficial for the warfare situation.

So Gu Xi didn’t bother with this any further.

He simply led his men to the place where the Staff of Nature was previously found.

By now, a Magic Tower had been built here.

This three-meter-high, 700-square-meter Magic Tower was filled with an Undead style, with black walls and a square foundation, with skeleton-shaped reliefs as decorations on the windows and doors.

Even a considerable distance in front of the Magic Tower was influenced; the ground was paved with black slate, and on either side of the road were skeleton statues holding white candles.

Only at the spot where the Staff of Nature was placed could a hint of vitality still be seen.

As he approached the Magic Tower, before Gu Xi could check the tower’s situation, the door of the Magic Tower swung open swiftly.

A Ghost floated out from inside.

This Ghost wore a black robe, revealing only the semi-transparent skull face beneath the hood.

Upon seeing Gu Xi, the Ghost bowed its head.

”Anthony greets the lord.”

As the Ghost Anthony bowed, information concerning the Magic Tower and Anthony popped up before Gu Xi.
