The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 397: Chapter 396: So It’s Genetic

The promotional power of a super influencer’s livestream is truly astounding.

As soon as Brother Hua received the takeout, he started a new episode of exploring restaurants and eating on the livestream.

Qianlima’s takeout always focuses on the packaging and presentation.

The goal is for customers to sense the sincerity of the store through the packaging, while indirectly advertising the store.

After all, takeout is the connector between customers and the restaurant, an important window reflecting the restaurant’s virtual value, and can even be considered a mobile billboard.

So, when Brother Hua unpacked the takeout, the fans in the livestream couldn’t help but start spamming the chat.

”Wow! It’s my first time seeing such a unique takeout packaging, it’s so high-end!”

”Is this made of wood? It feels like I can use the box for storage after finishing the meal.”

...

When Brother Hua began tasting the barbecue, the livestream boiled over once again.

Partly because Brother Hua’s enjoyment made the food look appetizing and irresistible.

And partly because the takeout had such exquisite plating, it was just incredible!

Brother Hua genuinely found the new barbecue dishes from Qianlima to be delicious, and couldn’t stop praising them during the tasting.

Fans were drooling and craving as they listened.

Fans from out of town could only resentfully type on their keyboards:

[Great! If I get my throat poked two hundred more times, I can have it too!]

[Brother Hua, wait for me! If I wear out ten pairs of shoes, I should be able to dine with you.]

...

Local fans couldn’t resist the temptation and started ordering Qianlima’s seafood barbecue takeout as well.

The kitchen was extremely busy throughout lunchtime.

Barbecue takeout orders were coming in nonstop, one after another, making the order taker smile so non-stop that their mouth couldn’t close, while the kitchen was hectic.

Fu Yu practically stayed in the grilling area without moving, but he relished it.

If it kept up at this speed, they would be one step closer to completing the task of 500 grilled banquet sets.

Fu Yu was busy grilling, and the prep and packing were handled by Zhang Jinyu.

They had developed quite a synergy after working together for a while.

In one lunchtime alone, they completed eight takeout orders.

Though grilling is a type of cooking, and you can complete two or three dishes at a time on a grill, it’s not any easier than working in the main kitchen.

Especially since the temperature aspect is a bit harder to endure.

Finally finishing the last order, Fu Yu felt a huge relief as he wiped his cheek’s sweat against his apron.

This showed the advantage of wearing non-greasy chef’s clothing.

It doesn’t stain with grease or sweat; after wiping, the chef’s clothes remained tidy and dry.

Fu Yu took out his phone to call Liu Yuqing.

He had promised to treat her to some grilled saury, and the buyer had just happened to bring back a few fresh ones today.

Fu Yu decided to grill them all and give two to Liu Yuqing while the rest became an added dish for the kitchen at noon.

At this time, the front hall staff also rarely had a chance to relax.

Liu Yuqing, having heard the news, eagerly came over to pick up the grilled fish.

When she turned the corner into the grilling area, she saw Fu Yu stretching his neck.

As she got closer, Liu Yuqing was momentarily stunned.

What?

Obviously, both had been working in the grilling area the entire afternoon.

Zhang Jinyu looked like he had just crawled out of a pool, his chef’s clothes all wrinkled, face drenched in sweat, hair greasy and stuck to his head, and a face that looked even chubbier from the redness.

Fu Yu, however, looked completely refreshed. Although his hair was a bit damp with sweat, and his face slightly flushed from the heat, aside from a dirty light green floral apron, he appeared very clean and tidy.

Strange...

He had sweat too, yet the chef’s clothes were spotless, and there wasn’t any sweat on his face.

Everyone says beauties have icy skin and bones, but right now, Fu Yu is not far behind!

Could it be that he’s using some high-end anti-perspirant gel?

Thinking of this, Liu Yuqing immediately became interested.

She knew that even though she worked in the air-conditioned front hall, once it got busy, she would sweat profusely despite using several brands of anti-perspirant, none of which were very effective.

Liu Yuqing couldn’t help but ask, ”Chef Fu, which brand of anti-perspirant gel do you use? It seems to work pretty well.”

Fu Yu’s hand paused, then he replied nonchalantly, ”Oh, I don’t use any anti-perspirant gel.”

Liu Yuqing didn’t believe it: ”But...”

Fu Yu chuckled, ”I guess it’s natural, my mom doesn’t sweat much, it’s genetic.”

Liu Yuqing was a bit surprised.

So that’s hereditary?

No wonder.

But those are some good genes!

If their future children could be like this, it would be quite an advantage!

Liu Yuqing happily took the grilled saury to the cafeteria to eat.

In the kitchen, everyone was also enjoying the meal thanks to the added dish.

Grilled saury, the king of grilled fish, was extremely delicious.

Indeed, good food could bring happiness, and everyone left feeling utterly satisfied with their meal.

The afterglow of the livestream continued into the evening.

There were still quite a few customers ordering seafood barbecue takeout.

Fu Yu had just completed two orders when a digital notification sound suddenly rang in his ear:

[Ding! Daily task: Complete 10 tables of barbecue set, successfully completed. Reward: A key to a special sauce mixing practice class.]

Fu Yu’s hands never stopped grilling, but a smile appeared on his lips.

He could finally learn to blend sauces.

After previous considerations, his approach to sauce blending had changed; he no longer underestimated it.

Especially when he remembered that he still had a task of creating a new barbecue recipe, he got excited just thinking about it.

That’s a full 20 skill points, almost like a pie falling from the sky!

Thinking of this, Fu Yu felt almost elated while grilling.

After work tonight, he would seize the opportunity to learn about sauce blending and strive to develop his own new barbecue recipe as soon as possible!

Such thoughts were truly motivating!

Today’s takeout orders were simply overwhelming.

When two large banquet takeout orders were grilled, Zhang Jinyu, even just standing by to hand over ingredients and pack, felt a bit of backache, yet Fu Yu never uttered a word of fatigue.

This made Zhang Jinyu sneak a glance at Fu Yu’s waist.

Impressive waist strength!

Standing upright all day, without any sign of weakness!

Zhang Jinyu admired Fu Yu.

Moreover, his face looked so relaxed, with smiling eyes, as if cooking was immensely enjoyable.

This must be the difference between people.

Because of passion, there’s so much motivation!

It made Zhang Jinyu swallow his words about backaches.

No wonder he couldn’t compare to Fu Yu.

Just in terms of passion, he couldn’t hold a candle to him!
