The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 370: Chapter 369: A Big Plan

Fu Yu turned to stand in front of his chef’s station, ”Watch and see!”

Sun Qingning looked at Fu Yu’s confident and determined profile and couldn’t help but swallow the words that came to his lips.

Actually, he thought to himself, being able to learn Master Chen’s secret barbecue recipe under Qianlima’s light was already like winning a big prize for free.

Just relying on this barbecue skill alone, even if he went out on his own in the future, just this one thing would ensure he wouldn’t starve.

As for innovating a new barbecue recipe?

Sun Qingning felt a bit emotional.

It wasn’t that he thought Fu Yu was incapable, but the idea was a bit too ambitious.

Innovating a unique barbecue recipe, something that might take generations for others to refine, and you think you can just do it at the drop of a hat?

Fu Yu stood at his chef’s station, and before he could begin, an electronic prompt rang in his ear:

[Ding! NPC Chef Yao Shi’s long-term task: Excel in the culinary industry, develop well in this field. Progress (Part Two): Create a wholly new barbecue recipe. Reward: Barbecue Master title, +20 skill points]

[Ding! NPC Godfather Zhao Meng’s long-term chain task: Complete all set goals, surpass Che Yuhang, and break through all his achievements one by one. Progress (Part One): Innovate a new barbecue flavor within three years, and gain recognition from at least five renowned chefs. Reward: Random.]

Fu Yu instinctively reached out to hold the edge of the chef’s station, feeling the weight on his shoulders.

This system was almost becoming sentient!

He had only just started to think about it, casually bragging to Sun Qingning, and the system had already prepared the rewards for his task.

The task was quite challenging, after all, innovating a completely new barbecue flavor is actually a very difficult thing.

But luckily, the system gave him three years to complete this task.

And the rewards were indeed very generous.

Although he didn’t know what the random reward was, based on the system’s style, being able to give 20 skill points in one go, the reward surely wouldn’t be shabby.

Fu Yu was quite confident in himself; with plenty of time, as long as he put in the effort, nothing was impossible.

Zhao Meng had just finished plating and had a hand free, and before he could talk to Fu Yu, he heard Fu Yu say, ”Chef Zhao, leave the barbecue to me from now on. I guarantee I can take orders at any time, and I grill faster too.”

Zhao Meng was taken aback, ”What’s gotten into you now?”

Sun Qingning turned his head and said, ”Chef Fu said he has a big plan!”

Zhao Meng widened his eyes, just grilling some seafood, what kind of big plan could he have?

This brat is probably planning to stir up some trouble again!

After Qianlima added a barbecue section, Dong Jun Tian began racking his brains to see how he could make this new area succeed.

The kitchen here was equipped with only some basic barbecue equipment, unlike the new store being renovated next door, where all sorts of equipment in the kitchen were bought for a significant price.

They absolutely couldn’t let such expensive kitchenware just sit unused in the future.

The speed of the internal store renovation was quite fast, Dong Jun Tian had always ambitiously wanted to open a branch, but hadn’t been able to implement it.

Now he’s finally successfully expanding the store, and he’s determined to elevate the store’s overall management further.

So he is paying rare attention to the store’s operations as well.

Though Qianlima isn’t a luxury hotel or large-scale, even a small sparrow has all its internal organs.

At present, both the Red Case District and White Case District are managed efficiently, with recruitment notices already released for the store.

In a few days, four kitchen helpers will arrive, and both Fu Yu and Yao Yihang are backup chef candidates; the kitchen here can slowly continue training, with no worry about staffing.

New people have also started coming in to apply for the front hall.

As long as staffing is adequate and the ingredients are sufficient, just improve the service attitude and dish quality.

Dong Jun Tian is confident in leading Qianlima to become one of the leading restaurants in Bei’an City.

This restaurant, passed down from their ancestors, carries the honor and hope of their entire family.

If it can thrive in his hands, it would be a glorious achievement.

He has already provided the conditions and arranged the manpower.

Next, it’s up to the kitchen captain Yao Shi, along with chefs Zhao Meng and Gu Yunwu.

Taking advantage of the absence of morning customers, Dong Jun Tian called the three kitchen leaders to his office.

”Old Zhao, Old Gu, your task isn’t light this time! The new kitchen has been equipped with complete sets of high-end kitchenware, and there’s a newly built barbecue room. I’ve invested a lot in it. Later, the store will continue to add more newcomers. Besides the four who are about to come, if there are good semi-skilled hands, I’ll keep hiring. You need to keep an eye on this!”

Dong Jun Tian initially wanted to encourage the kitchen staff and apply a bit of pressure, but ended up expressing his concerns as soon as he started talking.

”Originally, our store mainly focused on traditional seafood cuisine. This time, with the store’s expansion, I also took Jing Rui’s advice. Once the new store is renovated, you’ll all move over there, and once the barbecue area is officially in use, Old Zhao and Old Gu, you’ll need to cooperate with each other to make this work.”

”Old Yao is experienced in this area, so he must support both of you in establishing the barbecue seafood section.”

”The operational model and promotion of our dishes have been relatively outdated, but it’s not something that can be completely reversed overnight. The Red Case District is an important aspect of our store’s reputation. This time, the main renovation and investment of the new kitchen have been the kitchenware and environment transformation. I’ve gone to such lengths to create the best work atmosphere for you, so you also need to put your heart into it.”

”At the very least, the store’s order rate must improve, and this month’s profits must surpass last month’s.”

Dong Jun Tian was full of anticipation and confidence, looking as if the store had already been completely renovated, put into use, and brought considerable revenue and profit to the store.

Zhao Meng and Gu Yunwu nodded simultaneously.

Though Zhao Meng didn’t say anything, he understood clearly in his mind.

If Dong Jun Tian made such a significant investment in the kitchen and couldn’t achieve the intended benefits, then pressure would be high for him, Yao Shi, and Gu Yunwu.

In the kitchen, he and Gu Yunwu have always had a competitive relationship, even vying for an order, let alone for the new addition of barbecue seafood orders in the store.

If the store expends so much effort and money trying to support the kitchen, and the result is unsatisfactory,

Then the boss will surely begin to question the kitchen’s performance.

A good project that fails to develop must have managerial issues if not culinary skill deficiencies.

In the end, no matter if it’s good or bad, this responsibility will fall on Yao Shi!
