The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 374: Chapter 373: Attention-Grabbing Gimmick

Qu Jing sent someone to fetch a promotional cookbook and handed it to Fu Yu.

Fu Yu took it and glanced through, slightly stunned.

This promotional cookbook was bound in a hard-shell ancient-style thread binding, and the cover used hot stamping. The overall color scheme and design aligned with the restaurant’s overall visual identity system, with black and gold imparting a luxurious feel. Some might even find it ostentatious.

However, Fu Yu thought the design of this cookbook was fantastic.

Its visual appeal alone could pique the interest of readers. As for the price, it’s better to downplay it and use the unique features of the dishes to encourage orders rather than letting the price dictate it.

When the cookbook was opened, the entire top half of the first page showcased a photo of him at work.

The photo was a half-body shot taken during the Gold Chef Competition, with his edited and polished personal resume featured below.

Flipping further, each section spread across two pages had a picture of medicinal cuisine on the left side and the dish name on the right.

These were recipes for the medicinal dishes he had previously prepared for Wang Xueli, along with introductions to the health benefits and nourishing ingredients.

At the end, there was a base pricing for medicinal cuisine, with a course priced at 200,000 yuan. The specific price depended on the actual situation of the customer.

Qu Jing smiled and said, ”This is the boss’s idea. The medicinal cuisine you’re responsible for is something the store is planning to heavily promote. We accept reservations here, then finalize the consultation time with you. Once both parties agree, we arrange for the customer to meet with you for detailed discussions. Do you think this works?”

Fu Yu had no objections, and Yao Shi had considered everything thoroughly for him. Even he found this cookbook exceedingly elegant.

Especially the promotion of health directions and nourishing ingredients related to medicinal cuisine, which was a real eye-catching gimmick.

”I’ll first go and attend to Miss Wang, and then see how things are going. If work isn’t too busy today, we can have them come directly to the store. But, this price level, are they really okay with it?”

Fu Yu felt somewhat uncertain in his heart.

He previously charged Wang Xueli 160,000 yuan for a course, which Zhao Meng had said was exorbitant. Now Yao Shi had raised it directly to 200,000 yuan.

At this price level, this kind of table setting could be considered high luxury domestically, right?

Qu Jing smiled gently and said, ”Actually, we have quite a few high-end customers with strong purchasing power. They are some of our store’s most stable big clients, with some dining expenditures reaching hundreds of thousands, even millions, each year.”

Fu Yu breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a bit sentimental.

It seemed that the platform was indeed very important. For him, the platform meant connections, vision, and opportunity.

In the future, in the realm of medicinal cuisine, he would still need to rely on the music restaurant.

Fu Yu changed his clothes and first went to Private Room 202 to see Wang Xueli.

Wang Xueli had been sitting in the private room waiting for over ten minutes.

However, she was not the least bit impatient. On the contrary, she was in a good mood, sipping warm water while browsing through the photos she had taken recently on her phone.

Yes, she was drinking warm water.

Not for health reasons, but because she would be having medicinal cuisine today, and she worried that arbitrary eating and drinking might affect the efficacy. So she proactively asked the waiter to bring her a pot of warm water.

Wang Xueli was genuinely in a great mood.

After all, as a woman, to have undergone such a drastic transformation in just one month, looking healthier and receiving compliments from everyone she encountered, anyone would be overjoyed and happy.

Such a change was especially significant for her, someone who had faced much criticism and family doubt!

Previously, she had harmed her bodily functions due to unrestrained dieting. Later, she spent a fortune to nurture her body, hiring several nutritionists to create suitable meal plans, but the results were minimal.

Even if no one mentioned it to her face, she knew for certain that many in her circle were laughing at her behind her back over this matter.

For a woman, lacking beauty and a good figure meant that, regardless of how much money she had, there would still be regrets in her life.

Now, everything was different.

Wang Xueli was pleasantly surprised as she flipped through her recent photos, comparing them to the deliberately taken, earlier photos she kept for sample comparison.

The worse the old photos looked, the more beautiful the current ones appeared!

As one’s complexion improved, their overall demeanor and appearance became visibly enhanced.

In the photos taken later, to accurately gauge the effect, she used the front camera without any beauty filters.

As she flipped back and forth to compare, feeling a bit unsatisfied, Wang Xueli enthusiastically began creating collages, pairing a poor photo with a beautiful one together.

When Fu Yu arrived, Wang Xueli had just finished her fifth set of photo collages.

Today, Wang Xueli was dressed in a white hooded sweatshirt and jeans, her hair tied up high at the back.

In fact, her facial features were quite delicate; it was just that her previous complexion made her look a bit older.

Now with a rosy complexion and wearing such youthful clothes, she appeared much closer to her actual age.

Fu Yu was very pleased with the effects of the medicinal cuisine and greeted her with a smile, ”How’s your sleep quality been these past few days? I can see that your complexion has improved significantly!”

Wang Xueli was quite excited. When she smiled, it seemed as if she was glowing: ”Since I adjusted my diet, I feel I sleep more soundly at night. I’m no longer waking up frequently like before. I follow your suggestion of drinking a glass of milk two hours before bed, and as long as I use the bathroom before sleeping, I can sleep through the night!”

Bear in mind, after her failed diet attempts, she wasn’t sure if she had harmed her kidneys, but the frequency of her nighttime awakenings was very high.

To get a good night’s sleep, she often refrained from drinking water or consuming water-rich fruits from four or five o’clock in the afternoon.

”The effect of the medicinal cuisine has been too apparent! Friends around me praise my improved complexion every few days when they see me!”

Wang Xueli said earnestly, ”Honestly, Chef Fu, I feel like the 160,000 yuan wasn’t just for a health regimen; it was practically a life-changing remedy for my future and life!”

Receiving customer praise greatly pleased Fu Yu.

He smiled and said, ”Let me do a check-up for you. If possible, I’ll prepare to adjust your medicinal diet today.”

Upon hearing this, Wang Xueli’s eyes lit up, ”Is it possible to have a slimming medicinal food therapy?”

Fu Yu nodded, ”If your body condition meets the standards, you can start the next course.”

Wang Xueli was full of anticipation.

Armed with experience from practical teaching sessions, Fu Yu inquired about Wang Xueli’s recent lifestyle and diet details, carefully observed her complexion and deduced how much her current physical condition had improved.

After all, medicinal food is a special diet with both medicinal effectiveness and culinary delight, offering only supplementary nurturing effects.

The medical knowledge Fu Yu had learned was only surface-level.

Creating a beauty and slimming nourishing meal is doable, but truly curing diseases and saving lives is impossible.
