The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Chapter 384: Chapter 383: That Actually Makes Quite a Bit of Sense

At this point, Zhang Zhen was slightly taken aback, suddenly thinking of something else.

Since Fu Yu could design a herbal therapy specifically for treating acne, it meant he had a deep understanding of Chinese medicine and health, potentially not inferior to Xiao Jiping.

This realization left Zhang Zhen completely shocked.

How old is Fu Yu?

This kid!

Ever since the first meeting, it seemed like he constantly managed to successfully show off and leave a perfect impression.

Time and again...

Recalling the many times he was awed, Zhang Zhen couldn’t help but deeply doubt himself.

Was he just too dumb, or was Fu Yu just too incredible?

He’s only in his early twenties, and he’s already mastered intricate herbal recipes?

He can even casually design herbal meal plans that experts classify as folk prescriptions.

Thinking of this, Zhang Zhen suddenly felt a surge of clarity, like a revelation.

No wonder his astute and insightful boss was willing to use his own store as a stepping stone, providing Fu Yu a platform to expand his new career.

This clearly was an early recognition of Fu Yu’s potential.

Offering help in times of need outshines adding to splendor.

Helping when someone is at a low point surely garners an immensely generous return in the future!

If it were someone else, would his boss so freely offer assistance and resources?

Probably not!

Zhang Zhen suddenly understood why Fu Yu always gave off an aura of effortless calm and composure.

Because he had immense confidence in his skills and wasn’t afraid of being outdone by others.

And even if he did get outshone, it wouldn’t matter.

After all, Fu Yu was still young, just in his early twenties.

When he was that age, he was likely still assisting his mentor in the kitchen.

Zhang Zhen couldn’t help but sigh.

This truly is a powerful up-and-coming talent!

Maybe... tomorrow’s service fee should be charged at the highest rate?

Thinking of this, Zhang Zhen couldn’t help but want to build a connection.

...

Zhang Zhen’s act of personally inviting Fu Yu for a home service surely couldn’t be hidden.

He had no intentions of hiding it either.

That very evening, he called his boss Yao Shi and explained everything in detail.

Yao Shi, upon hearing this, was quite pleased.

He proactively offered to lend all the available ingredients from the store for free.

The herbal ingredients could also be handled by the store’s purchasing department.

Zhang Zhen was deeply touched, nearly swearing his utmost loyalty to the store over the phone.

After hanging up, Yao Shi turned to contact Fu Yu, planning to oversee the herbal cooking process the following day.

The herbal dietary therapy Fu Yu was preparing for Zhang Xueyao was practically ready-made advertising.

Yao Shi instantly saw the business opportunity this could bring.

Acne, a condition troubling countless teenagers.

If it could truly be cured through herbal meal therapy, the potential clients that would follow could be endless.

In Yao Shi’s eyes, this was like a key to a treasure trove gleaming with monetary value.

With Yao Shi’s arrangement, Fu Yu continued with the home service under this pretense, arriving early at the music restaurant the next day.

Upon entering, he saw Li Xintong talking to Zhang Zhen in the front hall.

Fu Yu greeted them with a smile: ”Good morning, Manager Li, Chef Zhang!”

The night before, Li Xintong was actively chatting in her family and friends’ group chats, explaining the two herbal recipes one-on-one.

She gained quite a bit of presence among family and friends, receiving unanimous praise.

This excitement kept Li Xintong awake for the latter half of the night.

Despite not resting well, she appeared rejuvenated and in high spirits the next day.

Li Xintong nodded towards Fu Yu: ”Good morning, Chef Fu!”

Zhang Zhen glanced at Fu Yu, and seeing there was no one else around, smiled and asked: ”Chef Fu, has the herbal therapy course been finalized?”

Fu Yu replied: ”Yes, it’s all set. Dr. Xiao’s ideas are very similar to mine, and we have a very consistent view on acne treatment. I think he should be quite satisfied with this herbal therapy course. Of course, since it’s my first time doing this type of dietary therapy, if there are any shortcomings, I can modify it based on Dr. Xiao’s feedback.”

”In this aspect, Dr. Xiao is the expert, and discussing the custom herbal therapy course with him is a rare opportunity worth seizing, thanks to Chef Zhang’s introduction!”

Zhang Zhen was stunned!

Ah... now that he says it, it seems quite reasonable.

By introducing Xiao Jiping, Fu Yu gained the chance to exchange knowledge with a seasoned Chinese medicine practitioner.

So, this task he did wasn’t so bad after all?!

Standing nearby, Li Xintong was taken aback.

A simple sentence shifted the focus away from Zhang Zhen’s previous inconsiderate behavior.

Watching Zhang Zhen’s look of relief mixed with a bit of smugness, Li Xintong suddenly realized she might have underestimated Fu Yu.

...

Fu Yu handed over his organized herbal therapy recipe to Zhang Zhen.

Zhang Zhen immediately took photos and sent them to Xiao Jiping.

This herbal recipe was meticulously detailed by Fu Yu.

Not only did it include the names of the herbal dishes for each course, but also the ingredients and herbs used in each dish, and even the cooking methods were described in detail.

It’s as if he’s not afraid of others learning from it!

Because of Fu Yu’s open-mindedness, Zhang Zhen’s admiration for him soared even higher.

Xiao Jiping quickly responded, stating that the herbal recipe was excellent.

It was not only targeted but also safe and reliable.

With the doctor’s approval, Fu Yu began to start the cooking process.

Zhang Zhen personally took the recipe to the back kitchen to gather the necessary ingredients.

The purchasing department assisted in buying the herbs from the pharmacy.

Once everything was ready, Yao Shi arrived to oversee the herbal cooking process as well.

Yao Shi didn’t come alone; he was accompanied by a photographer specifically hired to document the process.

He planned to create a special photo album for Fu Yu, including the treatment process for Zhang Xueyao.

Yao Shi had already discussed this with Zhang Zhen.

Since the documentation would only be used as a reference for other clients needing acne treatment, Zhang Zhen readily agreed.

However, to ensure safety, Yao Shi also promised to obscure Zhang Xueyao’s face.

This ensured that the results could be seen without revealing her identity.

Fu Yu stood at the kitchen counter, ready to start cooking.

Zhou Yesheng hurried over, saying: ”Can I assist Chef Fu?”

Previously, during Fu Yu’s cooking sessions, he was the one assisting him.

Zhang Zhen shook his head: ”Today, let me do it.”

Zhou Yesheng was stunned — Zhang Zhen wanted to assist Fu Yu?

What was going on?

After all, Zhang Zhen was the head chef; how could he assist?

This wasn’t appropriate!

Thinking of this, other chefs couldn’t help but say: ”Chef Zhang, isn’t that unnecessary?”

Zhang Zhen looked at everyone, his face calm, with a slight smile.

He couldn’t exactly tell them it was because Fu Yu’s herbal dishes were impressive, and he wanted a close look, could he?
