The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

”You need to let forensic pathologists across the province see that as a forensic expert, one can not only continuously improve and break through in professional skills but also travel further in their career path and climb higher peaks.”

”We need to make everyone understand that the position of a forensic pathologist has both technical depth and career breadth, making it possible to achieve a win-win situation for personal value and career development.”

Seeing everyone expressing their views enthusiastically, Jiang An couldn’t help but smile, his tone gentle yet with a hint of modesty.

”You two leaders really overpraise me, I am not as outstanding as you say.”

”In the national public security system, there are forensic experts with greater ability and richer experience than me everywhere.”

”Just like the prototype forensic expert Qin Ming in the previously popular drama, I truly admire his professional quality and contributions.”

”If there is an opportunity in the future to invite experts like him to give lectures for us, that would truly be a beneficial thing for everyone.”

”Haha, such top industry figures are certainly who we want to invite,” Director Hou responded with a smile, ”But I believe that forensic experts in the province should first solidly learn from your professional ability and career spirit and lay a solid foundation.”

”Once everyone’s level has improved, we can then invite those top experts to come to teach, so we can absorb and transform better, maximizing the effect of training.”

After a brief interlude, Political Commissioner Li slightly furrowed his brow, his expression serious as he spoke: ”Now that we have clarified the nature of this case—whether it’s the initial injury from the traffic accident or the perpetrator’s neglect leading to the victim’s death, it should legally be recognized as indirect intentional homicide.”

”So, once we determine this is intentional homicide, we must strictly conduct the investigation according to the standards and criteria of a homicide case, without any laxity.”

This statement was like a shot of adrenaline, instantly igniting the atmosphere in the meeting room.

Mr. Qin and all the officers present almost simultaneously straightened their postures, their expressions solemn, their eyes sharp.

For these criminal police officers who have battled on the front lines for years, a homicide case not only means higher challenges and greater responsibilities but is also the ultimate test of their career belief and professional competence.

Nothing can stimulate their fighting spirit and sense of mission more than solving a homicide case.

Mr. Qin responded in a loud voice: ”Please rest assured, Commissioner, we will resolutely execute orders, strictly advancing the investigation according to homicide standards, and will not let the organization down!”

Political Commissioner Li glanced around at these spirited and ready criminal investigation team members, showing a satisfied expression and continued: ”Good, since everyone is united in thought and firm in determination, we must invest comprehensively in the upcoming investigation work.”

”We need to strictly follow the deployment and instructions of Director Hou and Mr. Jiang, ensuring smooth communication and efficient collaboration to identify the criminal suspect in the shortest possible time and lay a solid foundation for subsequent work.”

He paused briefly, his gaze shifted to the two superior leaders present, speaking solemnly: ”Director Hou, Mr. Jiang, your presence and guidance provide the greatest support for our work.”

”Next, please issue task instructions; all our team members will go all out, comply without fail, and strive to solve the case early, giving a satisfactory account to the people.”

As his words ended, all eyes were focused on Director Hou and Jiang An.

As the leaders sent by the provincial department, Director Hou appeared particularly composed at this moment.

He pondered slightly, his gaze slowly sweeping through every determined face in the room, finally landing on Jiang An’s face beside him, speaking in a steady and powerful tone: ”Just now, Jiang An’s analysis of the case was very accurate, logically clear, and deeply insightful, which I fully agree with.”

”Moreover, throughout the analysis, the professional quality and depth of thinking he demonstrated even exceeded mine in some aspects.”

”Therefore, I have decided to fully entrust the command of this case to Jiang An, allowing him to exercise the command responsibilities on my behalf.”

He paused slightly, his voice firmer: ”From this moment on, everyone must tightly surround Jiang An, follow unified dispatch, and coordinate in operations.”

”We need to combine the strongest force and achieve the highest efficiency to tackle this case and completely solve it!”

Upon hearing Director Hou’s words, Jiang An suddenly felt a bit overwhelmed, his ears slightly heated, promptly waving his hand in rejection: ”How could this be... Director Hou, you overestimate me.”

”You are the leader, rich in experience, and you should coordinate the overall situation.”

”I can assist on the side and serve as an advisor. I really can’t bear this heavy responsibility.”

Director Hou, however, laughed heartily, patting Jiang An on the shoulder: ”Mr. Jiang, don’t decline.”

”On the road of criminal investigation, we never care about seniority or position level; the only criterion is case-solving efficiency.”

”You leading this case is most appropriate—everyone has witnessed your grasp of case details and sensitivity to clues throughout your years of frontline experience.”

”If I were in charge, you’d have an extra layer of consideration during analysis and judgment, which is not conducive to solving the case.”

”It’s better if you serve as the team leader, and we will fully cooperate. As long as the case can be solved, it doesn’t matter who the leader is. What matters is bringing the real perpetrator to justice as soon as possible!”

These resounding words made all eyes involuntarily focus on Jiang An.
