Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”No problem! If you encounter them in the future, let me know. We’ll bring our little squad to help the police and play the role of little heroes!” Wang Xiaohu thought of He Yueyue looking at him with admiration, almost bursting into laughter.

”Sure. That sounds feasible. If the police can’t catch them and we run into them one day, we’ll catch them together!” Ning Chenyang said loudly.

Boys have always had a hero dream since they were young.

Even though Ning Chenyang is a teenage genius with an IQ over 140, he is still a child, and his considerations for many real-life issues are somewhat naive.

Sometimes the things he says sound very grown-up, and sometimes they’re full of childishness. Like the current situation!

No matter what they say, their hatred for human traffickers and longing for heroism planted a seed in their small hearts, growing... sprouting...

Until one day, it suddenly erupts...

.........

When An Hao returned with Ning Chenguang, she saw three kids sitting under the shade of a tree in front of the apartment building eating ice cream.

The former rivals who were always at odds were now playing happily together, which indeed surprised An Hao.

”Chenyang, Yueyue! Why stay outside in this hot weather? What if you get heatstroke playing downstairs?” An Hao loudly called the two kids to come upstairs.

”Auntie! Little Brother!” He Yue saw Ning Chenguang return and happily rushed over, stretching her ice cream toward his mouth, ”Brother Yangyang bought this for me! It’s so delicious! You should try it too!”

Ning Chenguang waved his hands repeatedly, ”I won’t eat. Yueyue, you eat it!”

”Little Brother, are you disdaining Yueyue?” He Yue had noticed long ago that Ning Chenguang never used cups others had used or ate food others had eaten.

She had asked Ning Chenguang before, and he said germs could spread!

Isn’t that thinking others are dirty?

”No! Yueyue, I just ate on the way, so I’ll leave this for you.” Ning Chenguang said.

He Yueyue’s expression seemed a bit gloomy, and her eyes revealed a hint of disappointment.

”Yueyue, my mom and I bought you some bread on the way, all your favorites! I still remember!” Ning Chenguang said, shaking the bread in his hand.

Upon hearing this, Yueyue’s beautiful eyes sparkled, and she smiled, ”Thank you, Little Brother!”

”You’re welcome!”

”Kids, come home! I’ve prepared something delicious for you for lunch today!” An Hao was in a good mood and planned to reward the three little ones well at lunchtime.

”Auntie, can I come to your home for lunch too?” Wang Xiaohu wanted to play with Yueyue but knew he often bullied the Ning brothers. Aiunt An Hao probably didn’t like him, so he asked cautiously.

They’re just children, and whatever conflicts arise between them are children’s business.

As a parent, An Hao didn’t want to escalate the conflicts and was happy to see the kids reconcile.

”Sure! You can come too! You all need to get along well in the future!”

”Thank you, Auntie! I promise to be good!” Wang Xiaohu cheerfully gave a standard military salute and followed them home.

After that meal, Wang Xiaohu and Ning Chenyang’s relationship improved significantly, opening a new Chapter.

......

The time spent together is always too short.

Ning Chenguang only stayed for three days before having to go back, although his condition did improve a lot. However, the city is still very noisy.
