Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

”Yueyue is getting more and more beautiful. She’s really lovable!” Seeing the little girl, An Hao liked her from the bottom of her heart, ”You and your wife are truly blessed. I’ve always dreamed of having such an obedient daughter. If it weren’t for planned parenting, I would insist on having a daughter.”

He Fusheng, hearing his daughter being praised, was so happy that he just giggled foolishly and couldn’t say anything.

But Qin Jian, upon hearing his wife’s words, chimed in, ”Having a daughter is impossible in this lifetime. If it’s a daughter-in-law, that’s still possible. If you like Yueyue so much, why not let her be your daughter-in-law?”

”Sure! I have no objections, it’s up to the kids’ wishes in the future.” An Hao said with a smile, looking at Yueyue, ”Yueyue, are you willing?”

Yueyue understood what it meant, her little face turned red with shyness, and she hid bashfully behind Ning Chenguang, saying, ”I am willing!”

”Hahaha! This girl, she really likes Chenguang!” He Fusheng laughed loudly.

This little girl is young, but has quite a few thoughts. While playing in the village, she always protected Ning Chenguang and wouldn’t allow any girls to get close to him.

”Who likes the little brother...” The lively atmosphere in the living room woke Ning Chenyang up. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and came out of the bedroom. Seeing that Chenguang returned, he excitedly ran over with his little bare torso.

”Brother!”

”Little brother! You’re back. I was just saying I wanted to visit you.” Ning Chenyang said excitedly, ”It was so boring without you at home, are your ears feeling better? Do they still feel noisy?”

”Much better. Though, it still feels uncomfortable.” Ning Chenguang pointed to his head and said, ”But, it’s much better here, not forgetting things often anymore.”

”That’s good.” Ning Chenyang, like a little adult, was very concerned about his brother’s condition. Seeing his brother’s improvement, he also felt much relieved.

”Do you still recognize Uncle He?” Qin Jian asked Ning Chenyang.

”I do. Uncle He, sister Yueyue!” Ning Chenyang greeted enthusiastically, ”How many days are you staying this time!”

”Such a sensible child. Thank you!”

After a round of pleasantries, everyone sat down. The adults talked business while the kids read books and ate snacks together.

”Brother He, how many days are you staying this time? I want to take Chenguang for a check-up, and while you’re here, you can also have some fun. Let me show you around Nancheng City.” An Hao poured a cup of tea for He Fusheng and said.

”No, I was planning to take Yueyue back shortly. This time, it’s mainly to send Guangguang here. We stayed at a hotel last night, Guangguang’s condition is much better, not as irritable as he used to be when he hears the sound of cars. I think he can stay a few more days this time. You can see him off then.”

”How can that be?” Qin Jian insisted, ”Stay a few days, and we’ll go back together then.”

”Brother Qin, I appreciate your kindness, but now is not the right time. Trust your big brother, we will all visit you when Guangguang gets better.”

Qin Jian knew He Fusheng was a man of his word, so if he said he would come, then he definitely would: ”Alright then, we’ll all look forward to that day.”

”By the way, Brother He, I heard from Guangguang that he and Yueyue were almost taken by traffickers, what’s that all about?” She hadn’t asked Guangguang too many questions earlier.

After all, Guangguang had once had such a distressing experience, and she didn’t want to press her son, intending to alleviate the emotional trauma for him.
