Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Capítulo 2331: Chapter 2324: Outstanding Young Talent

Hearing that his daughter has someone in mind, Commander Qiu is also delighted: “Really? Which unit is he from? Tell me, I’ll check with their leader later to see if he’s as outstanding as you say!”

“This person isn’t from the unit. He’s a doctor at the PLA Affiliated Hospital, named Ji Chuan!” Qiu Xinyi eagerly said to her father, “I have a special feeling about him! Dad, can you find out more about him for me?”

“Ji Chuan! I remember him!” Commander Qiu said.

“Really? That’s great! You actually know him!” Qiu Xinyi was overjoyed.

“So? You want to date him?”

“Yes.”

“This…” Commander Qiu felt a bit awkward.

He knew Ji Chuan because of a surgery.

Two years ago, he had acute appendicitis and was taken to the hospital, and Ji Chuan was the one who operated on him!

The young man left a deep impression on him.

His surgery was performed excellently, and he also looked very nice. I heard he became the director of the General Surgery department at a young age.

He was well-spoken, knew a lot of things.

Such a young and talented man, Commander Qiu hoped he could make him his son-in-law.

But at that time, his daughter Qiu Xinyi had just called off the engagement with Xiaoxia, and he thought it could have some negative impact, so he let it go.

“What’s the matter?” Qiu Xinyi saw her father hesitate and pressed him, “Is there some difficulty? Or what?”

“I’m worried he might not be interested in you. You know, the impact of you breaking off the engagement wasn’t very good, plus, Ji Chuan is someone with high standards. He studied abroad, so not just anyone can catch his eye. Otherwise, he wouldn’t still be single at his age!”

“I don’t care! Dad, this matter is up to you. You must help me, my future is in your hands!” Qiu Xinyi said to her father, both coy and insistent.

Of course, Commander Qiu also hoped he could have a good son-in-law: “Alright, I’ll agree with you, but this can’t be rushed; it must be taken slowly!”

“It can’t be slow. What if someone else snatches him away?” Qiu Xinyi insisted, “Today, okay? Today, please invite Ji Chuan over to our house?”

“That would be too abrupt!” Commander Qiu felt it was inappropriate.

“Dad! I specially came back just to meet Ji Chuan. If this wish can’t be fulfilled, wouldn’t it be a wasted trip! Dad, just make a call and try!”

Commander Qiu couldn’t resist his daughter and finally agreed: “Okay! I’ll call their director and see what’s going on!”

“Thank you, Dad!”

“You, you! You’re already thirty, yet your personality and temper are still like a child’s, not growing up!”

Commander Qiu called the director of the affiliated hospital, got Ji Chuan’s contact information, and then directly dialed Ji Chuan.

That evening just when Ji Chuan was on duty, he had just taken a shower, changed clothes and was about to leave the staff dormitory when his phone rang. He quickly picked it up: “Hello, who is this?”

“Ji Chuan! This is Qiu Songyan!”

Upon hearing this name, Ji Chuan’s mind quickly reacted: “Commander! Hello! What brings you to call me? How are you? I haven’t seen you these last two years, how’s your health?”

“Not bad, young man, you actually still remember me!” Commander Qiu said happily, “My health is pretty good! It’s been a while since I saw you, how’s work going? When do you have time to visit me?”
