Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2329: Chapter 2322: Wishing I Could Crawl into a Hole

”Yeah! Of course it’s tiring! I just got back and now we have to be apart for so long. Shouldn’t you reward me?” Qin Jian said with a smile at the corner of his mouth, the meaning in his eyes was self-evident.

”You only get rewarded if you achieve something! Besides, you haven’t achieved anything, so why talk about rewards?” An Hao pushed Qin Jian back and turned her head with a smile.

”Can I at least get some comfort? We just haven’t seen each other for a month, and now you’re leaving again tomorrow! I already feel like I’m becoming a lonely man!”

”Alright, alright! Look at your aggrieved face! But if you want ’comfort,’ shouldn’t it wait until tonight?” An Hao said with a laugh, ”It’s getting late now. I need to go to the kindergarten to pick up the two little ones!”

”I’ve already asked Xiaozhou to go. Right now! We haven’t had some alone time in quite a while, have we?” Qin Jian said, pulling An Hao into his arms and kissing her.

”Fish... you’re still holding fish!” An Hao reminded him, her words muffled.

Qin Jian didn’t bother going to the kitchen, and with a clang, he threw the fish and vegetables he was holding to the floor and carried An Hao back into the house.

”Hey hey hey... why are you in such a rush? That’s food!” An Hao shouted.

”Can’t wait! Seize every available moment!”

”Is it that urgent?” An Hao was breathless from the kiss, pinned beneath him.

”Haven’t you heard? Men in their thirties and forties are like wolves and tigers!”

”...” In her impression, Qin Jian had never not been like a wolf or a tiger.

When Xiaozhou arrived at the kindergarten, school hadn’t let out yet.

But the senior officer had asked him to pick up the kids, so he just followed orders.

The kindergarten teacher, hearing that the senior officer’s guard was there to pick up the kids, waved the two kids out early.

”Uncle Zhou, why didn’t Dad come to pick us up?” The two little ones looked up at Xiaozhou.

”Dad is at home cooking fish for you! So he sent Uncle instead.”

The two little ones loved fish, and upon hearing they could have fish, they jumped three feet high: ”Oh! We can eat fish! Charge!”

The path that usually took more than ten minutes with the kids was cut short to under ten minutes due to their sprinting.

Ning Chenyang, with a key hanging from his neck, skillfully opened the door and rushed in with his brother and Xiaozhou: ”Dad! Dad!”

Qin Jian, who was in the midst of a tender moment, was startled by the kids’ calls. Just as he let go of his wife, he saw the two little ones standing at the door covering their eyes: ”Dad, so embarrassing!”

”Don’t look! You’ll get a sty in your eye!”

Meanwhile, Xiaozhou’s face turned bright red, and he kept his head down, not daring to look up.

Oh my dear lord!

Can he still keep his job after this?

An Hao also felt utterly embarrassed. Luckily, she had been feeling uneasy earlier and hadn’t let Qin Jian undress her, otherwise, it would have been truly mortifying.

”Why are you yelling? What do you mean get a sty? That’s just Dad kissing Mom! Just like Dad kisses you guys often!” Qin Jian said righteously.

”Oh!” The two little ones nodded half-believingly.

”As long as you know. Off you go, go play!” Qin Jian shooed the children away.

”Sir, Ma’am! I’ll head out now, I’ll be waiting downstairs first thing tomorrow morning!” Xiaozhou said with a flushed face.

”Alright. You go ahead!” Qin Jian waved him off.

Xiaozhou saluted and turned to leave, nearly tripping over An Hao’s high heels left on the floor, then spotting fish, vegetables, and two shoes along the way - it was clearly a ’crime scene’!
