Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2330: Chapter 2323: Love at First Sight

Accidentally bumped into the boss and his wife being intimate!

Is this good luck? Or bad?

Xiaozhou didn’t dare to stay a moment longer and strode out. Just as he reached the door, he heard Qin Jian shout from behind, ”Xiaozhou, remember the confidentiality agreement, right?”

”Commander! Don’t worry. I won’t say a word about what I saw today.” Xiaozhou reassured Qin Jian multiple times before being let go.

”It’s all your fault.” An Hao watched Xiaozhou leave, then touched her flushed face as she walked out of the bedroom, grabbing a child in each hand, ”Come on, Mom will take you to make dinner!”

An Hao’s specialty, braised fish, was ready. The two little ones each held a bowl, carefully picking out the bones from the fish meat.

”Darlings, Mom has to go to the countryside tomorrow. I might not be back for a month, so you two need to stay home with Dad!” While the two little ones were seriously eating, An Hao told them about her leaving.

”Huh? Mom, you’re going on a trip again?” Ning Chenyang put down his chopsticks, unhappy, ”I don’t want Mom to go on a trip!”

”Me neither! Mom, why don’t you take us with you?” Ning Chenguang chimed in.

”Be good! Listen and stay with Dad at home. Mom has to work, and the conditions there are tough. You wouldn’t adjust well! Stay home with Dad, and if Dad has time, he can take you to visit me. Okay?” An Hao coaxed and negotiated with the children.

”Alright.” Ning Chenyang dropped his head, suddenly losing spirit.

”When Mom is gone, you can’t be too naughty, and when Mom comes back, there will definitely be rewards for you. Remember?”

”Remember.” The two little kids promised.

”Alright. Let’s eat!”

.....................

Qiu Xinyi returned home, and Deputy Chief Qiu was a bit surprised.

”Why are you back? Didn’t you say you were going to the countryside? It’s only the first day, and you’ve run back already.”

”Dad, I have something urgent I wanted to come back and tell you.” Qiu Xinyi said with a giggle, holding onto Deputy Chief Qiu’s arm.

”What’s so urgent? Isn’t there a phone or telegram? Why did you have to rush back? Your work attitude isn’t right!” Deputy Chief Qiu understood his daughter’s nature better than anyone.

”Dad~!” Qiu Xinyi didn’t like Deputy Chief Qiu’s critiques, and coquettishly shook his arm, ”All you see is work, work, work. Why don’t you think about my marriage?”

”Your marriage?” It was better not to mention it at all, as the thought of it made Deputy Chief Qiu’s chest hurt, ”And you have the nerve to talk about marriage? Look at what you’ve done! The whole military knows about breaking off the engagement with Xiaoxia. Who would dare propose to you now?”

”Just as well! I can’t stand those ordinary people.” Qiu Xinyi proudly declared.

”Xinyi, your. mom passed away early, and it wasn’t easy raising you. My heart aches for you growing up without a mom and being allowed to have your way. But now you’re a bit too capricious. You’re almost thirty now; what are you still being picky about? Good enough will do!” Deputy Chief Qiu thought anyone in the military was more than suitable for Qiu Xinyi.

”Dad, I know you’re worried. This time, I’ve found someone myself! You could say he’s extraordinarily handsome! I fell for him at first sight!” Qiu Xinyi said with a face full of admiration.
