Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2320: Chapter 2313: Vomiting

Yan Huan listened to Cheng Yue’s instructions, helping to press down the old man’s leg.

”Sir, I’ve looked at your wound. Although it’s very deep, it hasn’t affected the blood vessels or nerves, so it’s nothing serious. I’ll first give you an anesthetic to reduce your pain, then I’ll stitch you up! Finally, I’ll give you a tetanus shot, and you’ll be fine!” Cheng Yue spoke while skillfully taking out a syringe and medication from the medical kit, preparing for the injection.

”Okay. I’ll leave it to you, then.” The old man said.

Yan Huan didn’t dare to look at the old man’s wound, so she focused her gaze on Cheng Yue.

This was the first time Yan Huan saw Cheng Yue at work. He looked extremely serious, eyes unblinking as he focused on the wound, with slender, even fingers holding the surgical forceps, stitching the wound proficiently.

Once he got into work mode, he seemed to enter a completely selfless state.

Yan Huan noticed that his profile was so charming, just like when she first met him.

”What are you looking at? Is there a flower on my face?” Cheng Yue sensed a burning gaze on his face and smiled slightly, the corners of his mouth lifting.

”Just focus on stitching, why do you care where I’m looking?” Yan Huan murmured softly, lowering her head to glance at the status of the old man’s wound stitching.

His stitching technique was indeed very good; the stitches were fine and neat, and the part that had been stitched already looked much better.

But the part that hadn’t been stitched yet... Yan Huan only took one look, and her stomach churned instantly.

It seems she’s not cut out for medicine, truly unable to handle such situations.

Yan Huan decisively turned her head away, refusing to look at the situation anymore.

About a few minutes later, Yan Huan heard Cheng Yue say it was done, and she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”Sir, the wound is stitched up. Make sure not to get it wet during this period! I’ve left you a week’s worth of antibiotics, take them on time to prevent infection!” Cheng Yue spoke while giving a tetanus shot, then handed over the medicine and advised some precautions before preparing to leave with Yan Huan.

The old man was extremely grateful, thanking Cheng Yue and Yan Huan repeatedly.

After the two exited the old man’s house, the old lady returned and, upon learning the wound had been treated, expressed her gratitude as well.

After the old lady finished expressing her thanks, the two of them walked back along the village path, with Yan Huan’s complexion looking not so good during the whole way.

”Are you okay?” Cheng Yue looked at Yan Huan, her face tense and lips tightly sealed. He thought she might be feeling uneasy after witnessing the somewhat gory scene.

Yan Huan shook her head: ”I’m fine, I just felt nauseous looking at that scene.”

”You rarely see such things, that’s why. During our first dissection class, many people ended up throwing up too, but you get used to it over time...”

Before Cheng Yue finished his words, Yan Huan couldn’t hold it in any longer. She quickly rushed a few steps to the corner of the wall and vomited intensely.

”Huanhuan.” Cheng Yue stepped forward to pat Yan Huan’s back, but she pushed him away, ”It’s dirty! Don’t come near!”

”It’s okay.”

”No, stay away!” Yan Huan didn’t want Cheng Yue to see the mess she vomited, refusing him without hesitation.

”Alright... okay.” Cheng Yue helplessly stood to the side, watching Yan Huan vomit.

Suddenly, his gaze fell into the grass at Yan Huan’s feet. He saw the grass move a few times, as if something was approaching.

When he realized what it was, he quickly shouted, ”Yan Huan! Don’t move!”
