On the Divine-Demonic Continent, the huge landmass floating deep within the Void…

Within a vast and resplendent palace of violet on it, Yu Zi Yu sat high upon the throne, quietly overlooking the two unfamiliar figures who now stood in the grand hall.

They were the Void Creatures: Uer, who bore the mantle of Nothingness, and Tiya, who carried upon her back the mantle of Madness.

Both had just recently stepped into the realm of Void Emperors

Now, they came to pay respects to Yu Zi Yu, the Hegemon of the Void, who transcends all.

“I, Uer, pay homage to the Void Hegemon.”

“I, Tiya, pay homage to the Void Hegemon…”

Their voices rose in unison as they followed the example of the Zi Lian and others before them, lowering themselves on one knee. However, perhaps because they had only just assumed Human Form, their movements were stiff and awkward, almost mechanical.

“En” Yu Zi Yu nodded, then laughed. “You two are rather lucky… One of you devoured the Buddhist Sect’s Sacred Water of Purification, and the other consumed most of a Bodhisattva’s cultivation…”

“Thanks to the Void Hegemon, who shattered the barrier between the cosmos and the Void…” Their voices brimmed with gratitude as the pair replied in unison once more.

“En…” Yu Zi Yu gave a slight nod, his smile lingering as his gaze swept over them with growing satisfaction. [Good, very good!]

In their Human Form, the two were strikingly beautiful.

Uer, the one who bore the mantle of Nothingness, had tousled black hair that fell messily over his brow. His frame was so thin and frail that, from a distance, one might think a mere gust of wind could topple him. His skin was deathly pale, lending him the appearance of one stricken by a terminal illness. He looked fragile, weak, and wan.

Despite so, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes shone with admiration.

Anyone who underestimated this terrifying being from the depths of the Void for his frail frame would pay dearly.

He was the incarnate of Nothingness. He had the power to dissolve all things into nothingness.

As a matter of fact, even his emotions had been consumed by this power. What remained was only absolute reason and cold indifference.

He was a weapon of the Void, born purely for battle.

Yu Zi Yu let out a light chuckle. “This is your Void Artifact, my gift for you becoming a Void Emperor.” As he spoke, he raised his hand.

A slender, radiant longsword appeared in his grasp. It was the Sword of Nothingness.

Upon learning of this new Void Emperor’s peculiar nature, Yu Zi Yu had commanded Arsenal to forge an Artifact through the night, one that perfectly aligned with Uer’s essence, capable of amplifying his combat power to its utmost.

“Thank you for this gift, Void Hegemon…” As he took the sword reverently with both hands, a rare flicker of emotion crossed Uer’s icy face. Clearly, this Void Artifact resonated deeply with him.

“From this day forth, you are the seventh to follow me. Also… stop calling me ‘Hegemon.’ Just call me Boss.”

“Eh…” Uer froze for an instant, but recovered quickly.

“B…Boss…”

The word came out stiff and awkward, but carrying a strange emotion that made Yu Zi Yu’s lips curl further in amusement.

Yu Zi Yu found this cold, austere youth strangely endearing.

Though beings like him were not adept at expressing feelings, but once they did… it came from the depths of their being.

And though he embodied Nothingness, though even his emotions were swallowed by the void, such hollowness could be filled.

Yu Zi Yu would fill that empty heart, binding him with loyalty so absolute that Uer would one day offer everything to him without hesitation.

As for matters such as this, Yu Zi Yu was already well-versed in it.

As a matter of fact, the Void Creatures were the very embodiment of purity.

Born in the Void, they embody what they carry: their Void Trait. That trait was not only the source of their power but also the mirror of their very nature.

Take Formless, for instance, her temperament was as elusive and unfathomable as a veil of mist. Or the Third Void King, who bore the mark of Envy, he was volatile, irritable, and yet immeasurably proud. His strength itself stemmed from jealousy, an emotion he could not escape.

Thus, to know a Void Creature’s nature was to simply know their trait.

However, in truth, only Yu Zi Yu had ever managed to succeed in such a feat.

After all, to most, encountering a Void Creature meant being hunted at once. A prey has no privilege of ‘understanding’ the predator.

…

Having offered Uer a sweet fruit and subtly drawn him closer, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted to the other figure.

She was quite beautiful. Her skin was dusky bronze. Her eyes were bright and shining like emerald gemstones. And she had a lust and voluptuous figure, radiating an exotic allure.

Her golden hair cascaded like waves down to her waist, gleaming like sunlight upon the sea. Her aloof elegance and noble bearing combined to form the picture of a true golden-haired beauty.

However, this was merely the surface, because she was a Void Creature who carried the mantle of Madness. Her heart was filled with seething chaos; an extreme madness that had been pushed to its pinnacle.

If her primal power ‘Madness’ awakens fully, her strength would multiply by several times, or even ten times. However, at the same time, she would become like a beast, fighting only by raw instinct.

Fortunately, she had devoured the Buddhist Sect’s treasured Sacred Water of Purification, which cleansed her mind. This in turn helped her discover a fragile ‘sense of self’ within her own madness.

If she could maintain self-control, then her future held boundless possibilities.

At this thought, Yu Zi Yu raised his hand, summoning forth another Void Artifact.

“This is the Artifact I grant you… And from this day forth, you shall be the nineth.” The golden-haired beauty froze in surprise.

“Nineth…?”

“Of course.” Yu Zi Yu nodded with a smile. “You’ve taken a female form, so the number eight doesn’t suit you. Nine is far more fitting. As for the eight… that number will belong to another, in time.”

“Thank you, Boss…” Gratitude softened her striking features, and a rare smile curved across Tiya’s lips.

[This Boss is really thoughtful.]
