“You’ve done well…” With rare praise in his voice, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze landed on a young woman, valiant and dignified, and with waist-length black hair, standing quietly in the corner.

She was the Phoenix Princess, Shea, Yu Zi Yu’s Third Disciple, better known across the stars as the Valkyrie of the Demon Court, famed for her unmatched strength.

Even to this day the prowess of her Eyes of Death still resounds through the cosmos.

It was said that not even the King of Angels, Seraphim, or the Eternal Titan of the Titan Clan dared to provoke her.

“All of this is only possible because of your guidance, Master,” she replied respectfully, the corners of her lips curling into a faint smile.

Yu Zi Yu, too, smiled at her modesty. “Your own effort matters most.”

His eyes roved over his Third Disciple, silently evaluating.

[I have to say… this is actually better than I expected. Not bad, not bad at all.]

Shea was currently at the peak of Tier-6, just a single step away from becoming a Half-Step Hegemon.

She had really well lived up to his expectations, maybe even beyond.

But then, that was to be expected.

Before entering seclusion, Yu Zi Yu had personally trained her for several decades, investing the full weight of the Demon Court’s resources into her growth, hoping to raise her into another towering pillar of the Demon Court.

If she hadn’t risen to the challenge after all that, it would have been a true disappointment.

Now, however, her impressive military achievements had proven that Yu Zi Yu’s judgement was spot on.

“This little one… she’s truly grown up.” Sighing with emotions, Yu Zi Yu withdrew his gaze. He had only just returned, and there were still countless matters requiring his attention. He had not time to linger on just the Phoenix Princess.

…

But just then, as if she recalled something, the Phoenix Princess stepped forward and reported straight away, “Master… the lineage of the Dragon Envoy has already passed to the third generation.”

“Third generation!?” Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but cry out loud, a surprise clearly visible in his eyes.

[So soon? Already…?]

A Dragon Envoy was someone who had successfully gathered all Nine Dragon Balls and made a wish. The Phoenix Princess herself was the first-generation Dragon Envoy.

The Dragon Envoy Lineage was a lineage passed down to a single Successor. It was worthy of being called the most special and most extraordinary lineage of the Demon Court.

However, the fact that legacy had reached its third generation in just a century was completely beyond what Yu Zi Yu had expected.

That meant that after Shea, two more people had successfully gathered the Dragon Balls and made wishes.

Such speed had indeed taken Yu Zi Yu by surprise.

He had thought… even a millennium would be too short for a second Dragon Envoy to appear, let alone two in a single century.

After all, the Nine Dragon Balls were no longer scattered across the relatively small Earth but hidden throughout the entire Solar System.

To locate nine balls, each the size of a fist, scattered across such an expanse? That was far harder than finding a needle in a haystack.

And yet… in just a century, two others had done it!?

His eyes narrowed, a strange light flickering within them. Something didn’t add up.

And as if sensing her Master’s thoughts, Phoenix Princess offered calmly, “Master, if you wish to understand more about the Dragon Envoys… I suggest speaking with Elder Sister Snake Queen. She serves as the Guardian of the Divine Dragons and knows far more about the matter.”

At this point, she suddenly changed the subject and added eagerly, “But Master, don’t you want to know who the second and third generation Dragon Envoys are… and what wishes they made?”

Hearing this, Yu Zi Yu’s lips couldn’t help but curl into a faint smile.

After all, Azure Dragon, the Eternal Dragon, was but another of his incarnations.

During the past century, he had remained focused and undistracted due to his seclusion, which was why he had not interfered with the Eternal Dragon’s summon.

But now that he was awake… if he truly wished to know, he needed only a single thought to descend into the Azure Dragon’s form.

[Still…instead of just knowing the truth, I think it would be more interesting to hear it from this little apprentice of mine. After all, compared to a hundred years ago, this little Disciple of mine has become far more mischievous and spirited…]

Smiling to himself, Yu Zi Yu asked casually, “Can you give me a brief rundown of the second and third generation Dragon Envoys?”

“Yes, Master!” Phoenix Princess nodded enthusiastically, trying to suppress her excitement as she hurriedly began to explain.

The Second Dragon Envoy… was a fortunate one.

No, rather, it would be better to say that he was someone blessed with great destiny.

A hundred years ago, he boarded an interstellar battleship and set off on the perilous path of gathering all nine Dragon Balls.

And all of it… for a single reason: to bring back his deceased wife.

As for the result, it spoke for itself.

After decades of battle and countless victories against powerful foes, he finally succeeded in collecting all nine balls.

Then, under the eyes of countless onlookers, he truly did revive his wife.

That one wish thoroughly proved the boundless power of the Divine Dragon. So much so, that when the third Eternal Dragon summoning took place, it sparked a frenzy like never before.

In fact, even Tier-6 Overlords joined the fray.

Rumor had it that the Titan Clan, the Angel Clan, and even the sword enemy of the Demon Court, the Heavenly Court, all had sent their elites to compete for the Dragon Balls.

Yet in the end, the one who became the Third Dragon Envoy was none other than Lan, a Angel King of the Angel Clan, as well as an acquaintance of Yu Zi Yu’s.

Known across the stars as the unrivaled queen of speed, Lan stole the balls right out from under the hands of seven Tier-6 Overlords, and successfully summoned the Eternal Dragon.

Her wish, however, was surprisingly simple: To become stronger.

“Elder Sister Lan has already comprehended the Dao of Speed through the Eternal Dragon’s power, and stepped into the Half-Step Realm of Hegemony,” Phoenix Princess added, her voice filled with envy and admiration. “At this rate, it won’t be long before she becomes a Hegemon…”

Her eyes shimmered with longing.

The Realm of Hegemony was every cultivator’s dream and goal.

“Huh…?” Yu Zi Yu fell into silence, raising an eyebrow at her wording.

“Elder Sister Lan?” he repeated, a hint of suspicion in his tone as he glanced toward the others.

At that moment, noticing his gaze, Nine Tails stepped forward and explained with a soft smile, “Lord Demon Emperor, Lan has since joined the Demon Court. She officially became the Third Dragon Envoy, and now guards the Eternal Dragon Altar.”

“Is that so…?” Yu Zi Yu’s let out a soft murmur, as an odd look crossed over his face

[Even an Angel King, the most exalted being in the Angel Clan, has joined the Demon Court!? Could it be that the Angel Clan has already pledged allegiance to the Demon Court?]
