*Boooooom…* With a deafening crash that shook Heaven and Earth, the entire Buddha Realm quivered violently.

Visible to the naked eye, two vast shockwaves spread out across the eastern skies of the realm. One steeped in boundless violet radiance, the other shining with pervasive Buddhist light.

Demon and Buddha.

At this moment, the two forces truly began their great clash.

“My Buddha, Tathagata…” Calling out softly, the dignified old monk sat cross-legged, his expression solemn and sacred.

Then, a golden phantom emerged from his body, growing larger with every passing moment.

*Boooooom…* In the blink of an eye, a colossal ‘Tathagata,’ nearly matching Yu Zi Yu’s own towering form, sat resplendent upon the clouds.

“Demon, meet your end!” Amid a thunderous roar, the towering Tathagata lifted a massive hand and pressed it down toward Yu Zi Yu.

“So, this isn’t his true strength…” Suspicion flickered in Yu Zi Yu’s heart as his gaze fell upon the broken branch clutched in the old monk’s hand.

It was the Seven Jewel Tree, though only a branch remained, it possessed unfathomable might.

Its most terrifying aspect lay solely not in its fabled seven-colored brilliance, that was said to ‘sweep away all things,’ but in something far subtler, its nature as an all-purpose auxiliary Imperial Artifact.

Under its blessing, this old monk’s cultivation soared steadily, until he stood toe-to-toe with Yu Zi Yu.

Of course, this was only because Yu Zi Yu had yet to unleash his full power.

Due to his current identity, Yu Zi Yu’s most relied-upon Tenth Realm, as well as the Grand Divine Ability, Nine Realms of Heaven, were both inconvenient to reveal here.

And as for the Supreme Principles of Spacetime, he believed that it would be in his best interest to keep it hidden if possible.

Thus, for the moment, Yu Zi Yu lacked an effective means to suppress this supreme figure of the Buddhist Sect.

However, after a second thought, Yu Zi Yu gave up the notion altogether.

Even if he could bring him down, what benefit was there in it?

The man was far more valuable alive than dead.

Yu Zi Yu still had use for him: to keep the Dragons, the Phoenixes, and other Superior Races in check.

Upon reflecting on this, Yu Zi Yu also began to formulate a plan in his mind.

[It’s about time to withdraw. If we stay here any longer, the Buddhist Sect will adapt to the invasion, and then, retreating would be far more difficult. The Eightfold Stupa Formation is also beginning to show signs of recovery.]

But, just then, a desperate cry rang across the Heavens, breaking Yu Zi Yu free from his contemplation, “Boss… Save me…!”

The voice was shrill, and happened to be filled with intense anguish and humiliation.

“Uh…” Yu Zi Yu’s face stiffened slightly as he turned to look.

The next moment, in his eyes appeared four Tier-6 Buddhists, in relentless pursuit of the Third Void King, bearing the title of Envy.

Now, that proud figure of Envy was in tatters, forced to even reveal his True Form, the Leopard-like Form. His wings were already drenched in blood, and one of them was even torn apart.

The Third Void King, always haughty and aloof. Were it not for being driven to absolute desperation, how could he ever have cried out for rescue?

“You… really are…” Rubbing his brow, Yu Zi Yu fell silent, utterly speechless.

Fortunately, the Buddhists could not understand Void tongue. Otherwise, the dignity of the entire Void Clan would have been trampled into the dirt.

However, it was not entirely the Third Void King’s fault. With so many powerhouses of equal tier besieging him, the fact that he had lasted this long was already commendable.

The Void Clan might be strange and formidable, but they were not invincible. Even a peerless fighter could not fend off countless hands alone. And the Buddhist Sect’s heritage was not something to be underestimated…

…

“This time, consider yourselves lucky…” Yu Zi Yu let out a soft chuckle. He did not even bother to look at the looming Tathagata Divine Palm descending from afar.

The old monk’s cultivation had indeed been raised, but his realm had not caught up with it. That palm strike may look amazing and powerful, but it was lacking in essence. It could never hope to land on Yu Zi Yu.

At that moment, a rhombus-shaped crystal flickered deep within Yu Zi Yu’s eyes, and his figure began to blur…

Space itself stretched without limit, endlessly widening the distance between Yu Zi Yu and that expansive palm.

“What!?” The old monk who had manifested the colossal Tathagata paled in disbelief.

[Impossible. Clearly, my attack was only a breath away. But then, why can’t it reach this Demon!?]

And then, realization dawned upon him. His pupils shrank violently.

“This… is Space!?” His horrified voice trembled as he saw the towering figure, still holding aloft the Void Gate, fade and then appear in the distance…

“Next time… your luck will not be so kind.” Leaving behind those cryptic words, Yu Zi Yu’s afterimages streaked toward the direction of the Third Void King’s desperate cries.

A vast hand swept out, and his colossal palm scooped the Third Void King into the safety of the Void Gate.

Then, under the wide-eyed horror of countless Buddhist powerhouses, Yu Zi Yu’s form blurred again and again, vanishing and reappearing, retrieving one Void Creature after another.

By the time they regained their senses, Yu Zi Yu had already swung his colossal hand, blasting open a rift in the Buddha Realm itself… and stepping through, choosing to leave.

After all, this was the Buddhist Sect’s heartland. Lingering here any longer would be pure folly.

With Yu Zi Yu choosing to depart after wreaking havoc across the Buddha Realm, none felt the anguish more keenly than the Buddhist Sect. The Buddhists were left seething with wrath… but with no place to vent it, it was laughable to even contemplate.

…

Now, gazing upon the Buddha Realm, one could see a fifth of its lands laid to waste.

Blood drenched the earth crimson. Corpses piled into mountains.

A handful of Void Creatures, whom Yu Zi Yu had not taken with him, continued their slaughter unchecked across the realm

And yet… this was not the end.

Yu Zi Yu’s clash with the ‘Buddha of the Palm Kingdom’ was so terrifying that even the Heavenly Demon Clan, hiding within the crevices of space, were alarmed.

Now, witnessing the Buddha Realm laid to waste, one Heavenly Demon after another revealed eyes brimming with greed.

In the near future, Heart Demons would take root, and chaos would spread throughout the Buddha Realm.

And this time, Yu Zi Yu’s overwhelming presence might well become the greatest Heart Demon in the hearts of the Buddhist Sect’s mighty figures.

With a faint smile, Yu Zi Yu, already gone from the Buddha Realm, turned back once, his gaze lingering deeply.

There, several Tier-6 Heavenly Demons stood silently, watching him depart.

“He noticed us…”

“Of course he did. That’s a Void Hegemon we’re speaking of. One who exists on a higher dimension than even the space we inhabit.”

“*Tsk…* But what did those bald donkeys of the Buddhist Sect do to provoke him?”

“Who knows… Still, this is our chance…”

“Yes, an opportunity indeed…”

In hushed yet fervent tones, the Tier-6 Heavenly Demons’ eyes betrayed undisguised greed as they fixed their gazes upon the Buddha Realm.

They had thought this era would force their Clan into hiding once more.

But now? It was uncertain.

After all, a devastating blow to the Buddhist Sect was an unparalleled chance to the Heavenly Demons.

And more importantly, sealed deep within the Great Thunderclap Monastery was the supreme treasure of their Heavenly Demon Clan.

If they could reclaim it… their Clan’s revival would no longer be beyond reach.
