The Eternal Dragon Altar, it did not lie within the Celestial Realm.

Rather, it stood upon Earth, the place where the Eternal Dragon had first appeared.

There, piercing the very clouds, was a towering spire that soared into Heaven, its summit hidden in mist. And atop that spire, nestled at the heart of it, lay the most mysterious sanctuary on Earth, the Eternal Dragon Altar.

It was there that the Eternal Dragon Envoy stood watch, not only overseeing the tower but also serving as a steward for the divine order of Earth itself.

…

Meanwhile, in the Celestial Realm…

Yu Zi Yu took a step forward, and in the next moment…

*Boooooom…* A thunderous boom echoed, as if space and time were collapsing.

At the same time, Yu Zi Yu’s figure vanished instantly from the Celestial Realm, hurtling directly toward Earth.

This time, he did not bring Slytherin. Nor Nine Tails. Not even Princess Ling Er.

After all, the day of the grand celebration for his return was fast approaching, and each of them had responsibilities they could not neglect.

Thus, Yu Zi Yu had no choice but to travel alone.

And honestly… this was exactly what he had in mind.

After all, what he sought from this trip was simple: to probe the depths of the Angel King of the Angel Clan, Lan.

If she proved trustworthy, the Demon Court would gain yet another peerless expert.

…

Far away, atop the Eternal Dragon Spire on Earth…

Within a resplendent white palace, on a throne sat a young woman with six pristine white wings unfurled behind her. She resembled a goddess gazing down upon the world, commanding respect without even revealing a bit of majesty. However, she also evoked a sense of inexplicable pity toward her.

Lan, one of the Four Kings of the Angel Clan.

And yet, now… she was merely the third-generation Eternal Dragon Envoy of the Demon Court.

However, no one, not even those closest to her, knew that this was exactly what Lan desired.

She enjoyed solitude.

She reveled in stillness, in the serene silence untainted by worldly affairs, or cultivating in seclusion. If not for her former identity as a Queen of Angels, she would’ve long ago retreated from the world, devoting herself entirely to seclusion and cultivation.

Back then, she could not.

The Angel Clan could not afford to lose her, and neither could her people.

However, now, things had changed.

“The Angel Clan has found peace. I can finally walk the path of my choice…” A subtle arc curled her lips, as a smile as radiant as sunlight glinting off still water, appeared on her face. It wasn’t a smile that belonged to the mundane world.

Like a blossom in bloom, Lan’s beauty was otherworldly, illuminating everything around her.

…

However, at that very moment, unbeknownst to her, a figure had already entered the palace, standing quietly in the shadows, silently watching the goddess seated on the throne.

This mature Angel was stunning beyond compare. Her very presence exuded a crushing and overbearing sense of divinity, to the point that a single glance could leave one breathless.

A round halo of light hovered above her head, pulsating with a divine glow. And with every pulse, a streak of rainbow gleamed across its surface. From head to toe, her entire body was bathed in a faint, golden radiance. Her long, golden hair, cascading down her shoulders like a silken waterfall, shimmered as if it were woven from sunlight itself. Even in the still air of the palace, her hair billowed softly, catching and refracting the light like a prism, almost blinding the eyes.

[So this is the current Lan!? She has truly changed.] Yu Zi Yu mused to himself, amusement flickering in his eyes.

She was not just stronger, but more composed too. Even her aura was vastly different from before.

However, one thing was certain, her presence alone was enough to affirm she had become a being on par with Nine Tails.

A genius of such caliber could very well be hailed as the ‘Top Prodigy’ of the Angel Clan, she might even surpass Seraphim.

As for Yu Zi Yu’s Fifth Angel King Form… that was another matter entirely.

…

However, now was not the time for sentiment.

With a quiet chuckle, Yu Zi Yu’s form began to change.

In the very next moment, sixteen golden wings emerged from his back.

The Angel Form, also known as Alarion, the Fifth Angel King. He was hailed as the uncrowned king of the Angel Clan.

And now, by revealing this form, his intentions could not be more clear.

A faint curl lifted the corner of his lips, revealing a trace of amusement. Then, from the hidden rift in time and space, Yu Zi Yu stepped forth.

*Tap…* A thunderous footstep echoed like thunder.

Immediately, ripples surged through space, and the entire hall seemed to freeze in time, because in that very instant, Lan’s eyes opened ever so slightly, and her gaze, laced with a near-tangible killing intent, seemed to freeze the very air.

“Who dares enter my territory uninvited?” Her voice was soft, no louder than a whisper.

However, at that moment, light began to gather, blinding and divine, coalescing above Lan’s head into a radiant sun-like brilliance.

If this ball of radiance were to fall, it could very well obliterate the entire Eternal Dragon Spire, perhaps even half of Earth itself.

Of course, Lan would control the blast. She would do her best to erase the enemy without harming a single blade of grass upon Earth.

“It’s me…” Came the calm reply.

In the next breath, Yu Zi Yu stepped out fully from that hidden rift in time and space.

*Booooom…* With a thunderous clap, sixteen resplendent wings unfurled from his back, dying the hall in bright gold.

Much to the disbelief of Lan’s, the legend of the Angel Clan, the Fifth Angel King, Alarion, stood before her.

“Lord Alarion…?” Stunned and perplexed, Lan rose from her throne.

The oppressive aura she had released dissipated instantly.

Not even in her dreams, she had expected for the legendary figure of the Angel Clan to stand before her, at least not here. And despite all her strength, all her calm… a deep, almost instinctual awe and fear surged from within her chest.

This awe and fear, it was not something that could be erased overnight. It did not only come from Bloodline Suppression, but from his status of standing at the pinnacle of the Angel Clan.

But more than fear and awe, it was respect, for Alarion had, time and again, pulled the Angel Clan from the brink of annihilation.

And that had earned her respect.

“En” Nodding slightly, Yu Zi Yu offered a gentle smile and asked, “So I’ve heard… you’ve joined the Demon Court? And even taken up the mantle of Eternal Dragon Envoy?”

Amidst a light, and even playful voice, Yu Zi Yu stepped forward slowly, his gaze fixed upon the figure sitting on the throne.

Lan’s expression froze, revealing a look of shock. She hadn’t expected this to be his reason for appearing.

[But… wasn’t Lord Alarion always detached from the Angel Clan’s affairs?] Puzzled, Lan nevertheless answered honestly, “Lord Alarion… The Demon Court extended a great kindness to me. It was by my own will that I accepted this post, to fulfill my duty.”

“Duty?” Yu Zi Yu chuckled, his voice tethering on teasing. “And what duty is that exactly? Guarding the Demon Court?”

“I…” She bit her lips. She found her speechless, because it was indeed the truth.

The primary responsibility of the Eternal Dragon Envoy was to protect the Demon Court.
