“Master, I wonder… are you satisfied with the Shadow Clan’s legion?” As Slytherin spoke, he respectfully bowed, offering up the remaining eight masks with both hands.

“If you are pleased…”

But before he could finish, Yu Zi Yu casually waved his hand and interrupted, “No need… These things are basically military command tokens. And honestly, I have no interest in holding military power.”

As he spoke, Yu Zi Yu twirled the Penumbra Mask in his hand, a faint smile dancing on his lips. “One mask is enough to play with… Besides, summoning a full legion behind me now and then should look pretty impressive, don’t you think?”

With a sly chuckle, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes shimmered with amusement and anticipation.

And here, there was something rather interesting about the Shadow Clan that deserved mention, they were beings of shadow, and as such, wherever there was shadow, their legions could be summoned.

Thus, so long as Yu Zi Yu willed it, he could summon an entire legion from his shadow just by channeling his Spiritual Energy.

Within a single breath, an entire legion would be standing behind him.

Just the thought of it was enough to send chills down the spine. And practically speaking, having a Shadow Clan legion at his side was not a bad idea either.

Unlike the clunky and sluggish Treant Clan, the Shadow Clan excelled in speed, finesse, and stealth. They made excellent assistants.

If the word got out… If other Forces ever discovered that the most elite legion of the Shadow Clan had been reduced to nothing more than the Demon Emperor’s assistants and ornamental showpiece, they would likely drop their jaws in disbelief.

However, it was the truth.

As things stood, Yu Zi Yu didn’t need the Shadow Clan to fight for him.

He alone was enough to dominate the world.

Had it not been for convenience, even the Penumbra Legion would not have qualified to remain by his side.

And now, Yu Zi Yu raised the mask in his right hand, and his Spiritual Energy surged.

*Booooom…* With a thunderous roar, the Penumbra Mask shattered into fragments, dissolving into a stream of black mist that poured directly into Yu Zi Yu’s body.

While the mask offered convenient summoning abilities, Yu Zi Yu preferred something more… personal.

He wanted to make it part of himself.

And thus, the General of the Penumbra Legion within the mask was mercilessly devoured, along with its destiny.

Now, Yu Zi Yu had become the General, gaining the absolute authority over the Penumbra Legion.

And the very moment Yu Zi Yu devoured the mask, every soldier of the legion trembled violently, their eyes flickering with radiant light.

“We greet the General!”

“We greet the General!”

Their unified voices echoed across the land. Though incomprehensible to most, for it was the native tongue of the Shadow Clan. However, one glance was enough to understand what they just said. Tens of thousands of soldiers kneeled on one knee, with their heads bowed toward Yu Zi Yu, the depth of their eyes burning with a fervent fire.

Compared to the impersonal command via the mask, Yu Zi Yu’s method of replacing the general granted him more direct control over the Penumbra Legion.

As a result, the entire Penumbra Legion began to pulse with new vitality.

They were no longer the cold, lifeless puppets but soldiers reborn.

“Serve me well… and you will not be mistreated.”

With a casual flick of his hand, Yu Zi Yu released a gentle Rain of Vitality, nourishing the Penumbra Legion like dew upon parched soil.

Prolonged dormancy had left their bodies stiff.

And now, Yu Zi Yu was reviving them, restoring their vitality, vigor, and even their energy, making them stronger than ever before.

“Congratulations, Master, for gaining a legion.” With a soft laugh, the silver-haired Nine Tails offered her congratulations.

But Yu Zi Yu merely smiled and shook his head. “More than acquiring a legion, what pleases me most… is Slytherin’s growth.”

Shifting the topic, he turned to the cold and aloof youth beside him, which was Slythering’s current form, and said with a grin, “Then… the safety of the upcoming grand celebration will be in your hands.”

“Yes, Master.” Accepting the task, the cold youth vowed solemnly, “I will not disappoint you.”

And as his words fell, an aura of unimaginable dread began to surge from him.

In that moment, Yu Zi Yu witnessed the sight of a phantom of a colossal serpent rearing its head to the Heavens behind the cold youth’s silhouette.

That was Slytherin’s True Form, and the vision caused by his power having surged to its peak.

Though it was but a phantom manifestation, its mere presence had caused the sky to darken.

Raising his eyes to the sky, Yu Zi Yu saw thick, rolling clouds of pitch-black thunder engulfing more than half the Celestial Realm.

The terrifying aura of a Half-Step Hegemon was far beyond mortal comprehension. And now, just from the sheer pressure alone, Slytherin had shaken Heaven itself.

“This little fellow cannot be underestimated…” Yu Zi Yu praised in his heart, the corner of his lips lifting into a faint, knowing smile.

Currently, while there were many powerful beings under his banner, only a few among them had truly caught his attention.

One was none other than the leader of the Divine Beasts, the Celestial Fox, Nine Tails. The master of the Seals. An incomprehensible being shrouded in mystery. Her cultivation had already reached the peak of Tier-6.

Another was Golden Ant, the embodiment of brute force throughout the ages. Though he was only at the Intermediate-Stage of Tier-6, his raw strength defied common sense. At times, Yu Zi Yu even suspected that this little creature could lift an entire planet… and smash it into his enemies.

Aside from those two, there were two others. His Third Disciple, Shea, and the pale and cold youth before him, Slytherin.

Shea, her name was already enough to inspire dread. At peak Tier-6, she was known as the Valkyrie of the Demon Court. Beneath her Eyes of Death, all life was equal. Her combat prowess, truly monstrous.

And finally, there was the one before him now: Slytherin.

A Half-Step Hegemon. The Master of Fear. The Devourer of Souls. A being who grew stronger by feeding on terror itself. He was truly a colossal giant.

These four… could now be considered the most fearsome entities under Yu Zi Yu’s command. Even Zi Lian, the wielder of the Void Artifact, would likely fall half a tier short in comparison.

However, if Zi Lian could fully awaken the power of that Divine Artifact, and undergo another metamorphosis, then perhaps he too could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with these monsters.

Just as these thoughts crossed his mind, Yu Zi Yu’s expression subtly shifted.

“There’s one more…” In a rare moment of contemplation, another name surfaced within his thoughts.

“Lan… the current Dragon Envoy,” as he murmured softly, his eyes couldn’t help but flicker non-stop.

Lan, thanks to the blessing of the Eternal Dragon, had comprehended the Principle of Speed. Her cultivation had already stepped into the Half-Step Realm of Hegemony.

By all counts, she too, was a mighty figure.

However , Yu Zi Yu had only crossed paths with her a handful of times. Thus, whether she could be trusted or not, remained to be seen.

At these thoughts, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help mumbling out loud, chuckling to himself, “It seems I’ll have to make the trip myself…”

As those words left his lips, a decision took root in his heart: he decided to personally pay a visit to the Dragon Altar.
