Chapter 1334, The Summoning of the Void

The Buddhist Sect was an ancient Force, older than memory, and perhaps the most fearsome Force beneath the Heavens.

Rumor had it that the place where it was located was a Great World, a mysterious place that was even more mysterious than Secret Realm. It was something akin to Yu Zi Yu’s own Tenth Realm.

And now… Yu Zi Yu had set his sights upon them.

“Boss, this time you’ve truly cast your net for a giant fish…”

“Indeed. A great catch…” Yu Zi Yu gave a slight nod, as he calmly admitted.

However, in the next breath, his tone shifted, steady and deliberate, “Still, be at ease. It is not yet time for an all-out war. At most, we will probe… test the waters.”

Saying so, he turned his gaze toward a nearby figure. “Zi Lian, summon the army. If we are to move against the Buddhist Sect, an army will be needed to distract them.”

“Yes, Boss.” Giving a single response, Zi Lian’s figure flickered and vanished, disappearing into the abyssal depths of the Void.

He was second only to Yu Zi Yu among the Seven Sins, and also the Commander of the Sin Legion.

As for that Sin Legion, it naturally consisted of the countless Void Creatures led by the seven deadly Sins.

Each of these creatures had been called forth by the Void Emperors, and then laid to slumber across the surrounding galaxies.

When Original Sins needed them, they would awaken in waves, and then, they shall rise like a tide, engulfing everything in their wake.

…

To invade an entire world without an army was not the best strategy.

The Buddha Realm’s foundations were far too deep, and their power unimaginable. Without the backing of the Sin Legion, even the Seven Sins, despite all their power, would not know how they had perished.

Thus the summoning of the army was inevitable.

Moreover, this was a world where the fittest survived.

And in the crucible of the war, the odds of emerging the strong were greatly increased.

A million Void Creatures might fall, but if a Tier-6 Void Emperor rose from the carnage, the price was worth it.

And Yu Zi Yu welcomed it.

The Void was unlike the denizens of the universe, they knew no bonds of kinship. Devoid of emotions, losing one of theirs meant nothing to them. And thus, Yu Zi Yu could, with ruthless ease, cultivate true elites through this endless crucible time and time again, like he was breeding Gu.

(Ashish: Gu poison is an ancient Chinese poison associated with magical properties, created by enclosing multiple venomous animals such as snakes, lizards, and scorpions in a box.)

One day, when enough Tier-6 Void Emperors clustered at his side, when even Tier-7 Void Hegemons bowed their heads before him, unification of the entire Void would be within his grasp.

On that day, Yu Zi Yu would raise high the banner of his own Empire that spanned the vastness of the Void.

*Haha…* He broke into a thunderous laughter as sweet anticipation welled up within him.

And then…

*Screeeeeeeeeech…* A piercing screech ripped across the emptiness, shattering the stillness of the Void.

Immediately after, in his gaze, violet ripples surged outward, spreading like waves until they swept to every corner of the abyss.

The call of the Void Emperor resonated through the void once more.

And as that cry echoed through the endless Void…

*Roooar…roooar…roooar…*

*Screeeech…Screeeech…Screeeech…*

One after another, a chorus of roars and growls erupted, rolling outward from the Divine and Demonic Breeding Ground.

Then, they came, from the violet-filled abyss.

One after another, grotesque forms emerged from slumber.

Some writhed like colossal octopi.

Some flowed like liquid, formless and shifting.

Some coiled like serpents, scales glimmering with alien malice.

Each of their bodies was grotesque and twisted beyond reason. However, from all of them poured the unmistakable aura of the Void.

Awakened at the call of their King, the monsters of the Void rose from their slumber in throngs.

Awaiting them was yet another banquet of carnage.

And at that moment, it was not only Zi Lian who began to summon…

“Children who have fallen to the Void… now, your King calls for your strength.” She raised her right hand high, a violet scepter suddenly appeared within the grasp of Avril.

As she lifted it aloft, a blaze of violet radiance erupted. As dazzling as a star, flooding the entirety of the Divine and Demonic Breeding Ground in its brilliance.

“I, of the Fallen Angel Clan, pay homage to Lady Avril…”

“I, of the Fallen Crystal Clan, pay homage to Lady Avril…”

One voice after another rose in succession, they were the powerhouses birthed within the Breeding Grounds across centuries.

Among them, there were quite a good number of Half-Step Overlords.

However, fate had not favored them. They had not been chosen by Yu Zi Yu.

Otherwise, there was no saying how many formidable Void Creatures might already have risen from their ranks?

…

“Hmph… Brothers and Sisters truly have so many troops under their banners…” Formless, the little lolita pouted, grievance flickering in her eyes as she lifted her gaze, and looked at the host of dolls drifting forth from the depths of mist.

There weren’t many of them, just over a hundred.

Compared to Zi Lian’s endless legions, compared to Avril’s Fallen Void Clan, her own Force seemed meager indeed.

However, what set her Force apart from the rest was the aura they exuded.

Each doll carried the aura of Tier-5. More terrifying still, they were lifeless, like mere puppets. Their eyes were glassy and vacant.

This was the method of the Void Empress, Formless, those she defeated were transfigured into dolls, bound to her forevermore. Her power bordered on the level of Principle itself. And it was precisely this that made Formless all the more terrifying.

After all, who would not dread the thought of being struck down and then awaken not as oneself, but as a doll stripped of all memory, chained eternally to another’s will?

…

“It seems none of you have been idle, I see.” Yu Zi Yu’s soft laughter rippled across the Void as his gaze swept over the armies summoned by each of the Seven Sins.

Zi Lian’s Legion did not pay much attention to quality, but it was unrivaled in sheer quantity. Their sheer number was particularly terrifying. Simply put, they were the vanguards of the Void Clan.

Under Avril’s command were her Fallen Kin, nurtured by her own hand. Their quality was impeccable, their battle power far surpassing ordinary Void Creatures. They stood as the main force of Original Sins.

And then there were the hundred Tier-5 dolls under Formless’ command… true elites among elites.

Though none could yet say what strange powers these toy-like warriors wielded, one need only glimpse the eerie smile upon that delicate loli’s face to know… they were anything but simple.

“This little loli… she truly holds the potential to grow into a Demon King of the Void.” Yu Zi Yu smiled inwardly, as he offered his earnest critique.

For the truth was plain and simple, the more formidable foes she felled, the more dolls joined her command. That alone spoke volumes about how terrifying she truly was.
