Witnessing the distant scene of Nine Tails welcoming the guests, Yu Zi Yu’s lips curved ever so slightly.

[It seems that the expected results have been achieved. With this, the Demon Court’s status in the universe would no doubt see a significant rise.]

Satisfied and happy, a smile danced on his lips. [However, now’s not the time to reel in self-satisfaction. I should make preparations…]

“Master, please…”

“En.” With a slight nod, Yu Zi Yu followed his personal attendant, the Elf Queen, to his chamber..

There, Nine Tails and Princess Ling Er had long since prepared his imperial robes.

Once the robes were upon him, he would be the Supreme Lord of the Demon Court, the Demon Emperor, the undisputed existence in the entire universe.

…

While Yu Zi Yu and his Generals were making ready for the grand ceremony, no one knew that one ancient force after another was quietly emerging from the shadows.

“So that’s the Demon Court’s First Generation Divine Beasts…” In a remote corner of the Celestial Realm, a young man gazed blankly at the godly and demonic figures in the horizon, his eyes burning with fervor.

At his side, a white-haired Rlder stood still, his gaze too fixed upon the Divine Beasts.

“The Demon Court truly lives up to its name.” Smiling, the old man stroked his beard, as a heavy sigh escaped his lips.

They had come aboard an unassuming Demon Court warship to the Celestial Realm, appearing like nothing more than an ordinary old man and his Grandson.

It should be brought to notice that with the Demon Court’s welcoming celebration at hand, the Celestial Realm had been opened to the outside world.

Naturally, people arrived in an endless stream.

Though there were many among them who simply wished to witness the Demon Court’s grandeur, there were also many with ulterior motives.

Nonetheless, neither Yu Zi Yu nor even Nine Tails and the others paid it any mind…

For the simple reason that no one dared act recklessly in the Celestial Realm. If any of them did, they would be executed on the spot.

Perhaps, it would not end at mere death; even the Forces behind them would be dragged into ruin.

Thus, even those with ulterior motives behaved themselves.

And this pair who seemed like Grandfather and Grandson were merely among the many present. However, unlike ordinary travelers, they were quite extraordinary.

If one inspected the elder’s aura closely, they would find him to be an Early-Stage Tier-6.

A Tier-6, even at the Early-Stage, was considered top-tier powerhouses in the current universe.

Such a powerhouse, whenever he went, would be treated like nobility.

And yet, this unassuming old man was just that, a Tier-6.

And not just him, the young man standing beside him, was actually a Half-Step Overlord.

And judging by his appearance, he was still young. He possessed handsome features, and sharp eyebrows. Upon his back, he carried a black case.

This ordinary looking young man was the best prodigy of the Human Clan’s Sword Sect, the Heavenly Sword, Jian Chen.

He was so young, yet he was already a Half-Step Overlord. In addition, he was born with a Sword Core and Sword Heart, which allowed him to comprehend the Sword Dao very easily. He was a true genius of the Sword Dao.

The Elders of the Sword Sect regarded him as a ‘once-in-ten-thousand-years’ prodigy.

The Human Clan’s Sword Sect was not based in the Western Sector, but in a Secret Realm, just like the Heavenly Court. Moreover, unlike the Heavenly Court, that made the entire world their enemies, the Sword Sect kept a low profile. Few even knew of their existence.

Even so, that did nothing to lessen the Sword Sect’s terrifying strength.

In the previous era, the Human Clan had been lauded as the ‘First Race of All Ages.’

And the pillar of the Human Clan was not the Heavenly Court alone.

The Human Clan’s various Sects, Clans, and Imperial Dynasties were all formidable Forces.

It was said that of the Heavenly Court’s ‘Eight Eternals,’ six hailed from other Forces of the Human Clan.

At the time, the Heavenly Court was quite overwhelming, and was dominating everywhere. And due to their momentum, the Eternals of other Forces of the Human Clan served as Guest Elders of the Heavenly Court, for the sake of suppressing all Races and building a legacy for the ages.

Among them, one Eternal hailed from this extremely low-key Sword Sect.

More importantly, that Eternal wielded a three foot long sword, known as Azure Edge, and was ranked at the very top even among the Eternals.

From this alone, one could imagine just how terrifying the foundation of this Sect called the Sword Sect.

Even if it could not compare to the Heavenly Court, it was not a Force to be underestimated.

In fact, after suffering repeated defeats, the Heavenly Court barely possessed a tenth of their former strength. These days, it was debatable whether it was stronger than the Sword Sect.

Of course… the Sword Sect and the Heavenly Court could not be considered in the same breath.

The Sword Sect was the Sword Sect. The Heavenly Court was the Heavenly Court.

Though both were powers of the Human Clan, the two were worlds apart.

The saying ‘Those whose Daos differ cannot work together’ could very well have been written for them.

And it was not just the Sword Sect. Other Forces, like the Immortal Palace, the undefeated Imperial Dynasty, though equally part of the Human Clan like the Heavenly Court, would never, not even under threat of death, act on the Heavenly Court’s behalf.

It was not just the Humans of Earth who turned upon one another. Beneath the vast starry sky, different Human Forces harbored grudges against each other.

That one time the Heavenly Court unified the entirety of the Human Clan’s forces had been nothing more than an anomaly.

All because that the Strongest Immortal the Human Clan was too terrifying…

And more importantly, because of the Heavenly Court, the Human Clan as a whole had suffered devastating losses. The fact that the other Human Forces did not utterly hate the Heavenly Court was already remarkable.

…

At that moment, quietly gazing at the ten majestic figures in the sky, this young Human named Jian Chen’s eyes burned brightly.

“So… these are my future opponents…” His voice was full of anticipation.

“No…” But, suddenly the nearby old man interrupted him. Lowering his voice, he pointed toward the depths of the Celestial Realm, and stated, “Remember, Jian Chen, your opponent will always be that one, deep within the Demon Court. Only by setting that person as your target… can you truly grow.”

Upon hearing this, the young man was momentarily dumbstruck.

Then, as though realizing something, a sudden flash of sharp gleam burst in his eyes, “I… under… stand…”

With each word, the black case on the young man’s back began to tremble faintly.

And with it, a razor-sharp killing intent subtly filled into the air around him.
