The eleven legions still didn’t amount to the Demon Court’s entire strength. It had many more secretive Forces hiding in the shadows, like the Shades.

The Shades was an organization that thrived in the shadows, and now already in its seventh generation, with each cycle lasting for over a decade.

With each cycle, it produced a large number of decisive and deadly prodigies for the Demon Court.

In fact, even the Primordial Elves born from the Nine Realms under Yu Zi Yu’s command had once been Shades, hunting down the remnants of the Elemental Race for decades.

“The Demon Court of today has truly risen.” Sighing with emotions, Yu Zi Yu also came to acknowledge the growth of the current Demon Court.

The Demon Court had indeed made tremendous progress.

Though much of this came from absorbing the heritage of the Elemental Clan, Shadow Clan, and Netherborns, there was no denying that the current Demon Court was terrifying, far more terrifying than even he had imagined.

At that moment, as if something crossed his mind, Yu Zi Yu, still strolling leisurely through the Celestial Realm with Ling Er and Nine Tails, took the initiative to ask, “In the past few decades have any noteworthy powerhouses emerged in the Demon Court?”

“Of course,” replied Nine Tails, a faint smile blooming on her lips.

Then, she cast a glance toward Yu Zi Yu, before introducing, “Lan, the current Dragon Envoy, as well as the only female Angel King of the Angel Clan, needs no introduction. Borrowing the might of the Shenlong, she has comprehended the Principle of Speed and become a Half-Step Hegemon. Her strength is absolutely terrifying.”

“Then there’s White Fox under my command, one of the Second Generation Divine Beasts, also known as Bai Lian Er. She, too, has reached the Early-Stage of Tier-6. More importantly, thanks to the Lucky Spirit Grass she had devoured, she has gained a passive Divine Ability: Twin Essence, which grants her two forms, a Human Form and a Fox Form. Both forms advance together, and can cultivate simultaneously. Her combat power… is terrifying.”

“Also, two of the former three prodigies: God-Devouring Rat and Qin. They have both become Half-Step Overlords. They’re only a single step away from Tier-6.”

On and on Nine Tails spoke, introducing the new powerhouses that had emerged in the Demon Court in recent years.

“Even the White Fox under your command has reached Tier-6?” Surprised, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but raise a brow.

After all, reaching Tier-6 was no easy feat. In truth, the reason so many Tier-6 Overlords had been born in the Nine Realms was because of hundred-year-long secluded cultivation, coupled with ample resources.

Whereas the White Fox, though lacking nothing in resources, likely did not have that much time for focused cultivation.

And yet, she had still stepped into Tier-6.

Thus, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but be surprised.

“Master, did you forget that she secretly ate the Lucky Spirit Grass? That herb is a genuine treasure of the Heavens and Earth. And as Bai Lian Er cultivated, its efficacy was continuously drawn out, eventually pushing her into Tier-6.”

“Ah, so that’s how it is…” Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but murmur to himself, as the pieces finally clicked together.

He had forgotten about the Lucky Spirit Grass.

It was truly a supreme treasure of Heaven and Earth.

Even now, it would be next to impossible to find such herbs across the entire cosmos.

It was because the Green Hill’s Fox Clan had extraordinary roots that they were accompanied by such a Spirit Herb.

…

“If the opportunity arises… I’d like to meet the new generation of the Demon Court.” With a smile tugging at his lips, a trace of anticipation glimmered across Yu Zi Yu’s face.

[It’s been a long, long time since I’ve felt this excited. I wonder among all of them, will there be anyone who will be able to surprise me? There must be. Nine Tails… she has always had very high standards. If a person caught her attention, they must be truly impressive.]

Just then…

“Master… how about we hold a celebration half a year from now to welcome your return?” Ling Er’s voice carried a note of hope as she looked at him with bright eyes full of anticipation…

“What are you planning?”

“Hehe… Master’s return is no small matter, not just for the Demon Court, but for the entire Western Sector…”

Saying so, Ling Er, the Princess of the Demon Court, smiled and added, “So, how could we let your return pass without something grand and formal?”

“Formal, huh…” murmuring softly, Yu Zi Yu instantly understood what Ling Er meant.

Though on the surface it was about formality, the deeper intent was to reestablish his prestige.

After a century of absence, many beings had likely already forgotten his name.

And now, taking this opportunity to host a celebration in honor of his return would once again allow the title of ‘Demon Emperor’ to resound throughout the starry skies.

However, that was not all.

Suddenly, a smile tugged at the corner of her lips, as she continued, “Also, by hosting a grand celebration and extending an open invitation to all the major Forces of the Western Sector… we can truly solidify our position as the ‘Strongest.’ And if any refuse to come… *Hmph…*”

A sudden chill spread through the air, enough to send a shiver down one’s spine.

That was unmistakably killing intent.

As the Princess of the Demon Court, and its shadow ruler, Ling Er’s ruthlessness was well-known.

Only before Yu Zi Yu would she ever act so demure, like a gentle, dependent bird nestled close, revealing a rare, tender side.

“Alright…” Chuckling softly, Yu Zi Yu nodded in agreement.

[Well, it’s not like I get to return everyday. So, what’s the harm in making it loud, just this once? I also have the strength to back it all up. This is a perfect opportunity too. Perhaps it might even draw out a few clowns who think they are strong. And besides… Ling Er was right about one thing: It’s been far too long since I set foot in the cosmos, I’m afraid many have already forgotten about the ‘Demon Emperor’ of this generation.]

“Then I’ll leave this matter in your hands.”

“Yes, Master.” Ling Er’s face lit up with delight.

This was a rare and meaningful responsibility.

If done well, it could firmly cement the Demon Court’s supremacy over the Western Sector.

Moreover, she believed that her Master’s return would bring with it a monumental shock. Not only to the Western Sector, but to the entire cosmos.

A faint smile curled on her lips as anticipation filled her heart.

Anticipation for that familiar white-clad figure, tall and proud, standing once more at the pinnacle of the starry expanse, looking down upon all like a divine being.

[Master… is destined to stand atop the stars.] As she thought in her heart, Ling Er’s eyes couldn’t help but flicker with brilliance.
