While the Buddhist Sect was deliberating on the Demon Court’s reply, Yu Zi Yu’s days had returned to tranquility once more.

In the heart of the Realm of Life, within a tranquil bamboo grove, Yu Zi Yu sat alone. Before him, a small stone table held a pot of Spirit Wine.

If one were to look closely at the stone table before him, they would see countless stars glittering upon its surface.

The whole table seemed shrouded in mist, like a fragment of the starry sky.

Deduction…

And more deduction.

Now, using the Spirit Wine as a medium, its crystalline drops as stars, Yu Zi Yu had simulated an endless expanse of stars. Using it, he continuously deduced the changes of the cosmos, comprehending hidden truths, and unraveling the mysteries of Formations.

Yu Zi Yu had never abandoned the Dao of Formations.

Whenever he had a spare moment, he would deduce.

After all, the Dao of Formations was deeply tied to his Extreme Dao Artifact: the Radiant Galaxy.

The deeper his understanding of Formations, the more terrifying the power of his Radiant Galaxy would become.

And faintly, Yu Zi Yu had a feeling that if the Radiant Galaxy was ever to advance to the rank of Supreme Imperial Artifact, Formations would be the key.

“Perhaps, when I finally comprehend the legendary Forbidden Formation, the Great Constellation Formation, and engrave it upon the Radiant Galaxy, that will be the day it ascends to an Imperial Artifact…” With a rare sigh, Yu Zi Yu took a small sip of Spirit Wine.

At the same time, with a flick of his fingertips, the stone table became densely strewn with stars, and even nebulae.

…

Just then, as though sensing something, Yu Zi Yu’s fingers stilled, and the starlight at his tips scattered.

“You’re finally here.” With a sudden, light laugh, Yu Zi Yu turned his gaze to the distance, where a golden figure strode into view.

Clad in radiant golden armor, a gleaming crown upon his head and Cloudstride Boots upon his feet, he moved with an air of unshakable majesty. Golden fur danced beneath the sunlight, each strand aglow with divine brilliance.

In the depths of his piercing eyes, starlight flickered and flowed like a silent cosmos.

This was none other than Golden Monkey, the Demon Court’s Demon Master, its sage, and advisor.

In the early days, it was thanks to him that the Demon Court found its proper path. And it was because of him that Yu Zi Yu first stepped onto the Dao of Formations.

“I do not know what matter has caused the Demon Emperor to summon me?” inquired Golden Monkey in a soft, yet deeply respectful voice.

The stronger, and more fearsome, the Demon Court became, the more rules it upheld.

Thus, as the Court’s teacher, he had always led by example, holding discipline in the highest regard.

“We’ve been old friends for so many years, there is no need for formality…” Smiling, Yu Zi Yu went straight to the point, “Tell me, what do you think of this Formation?”

As he spoke, Yu Zi Yu pointed toward the stone table, and at once, a hazy nebula rose upon the table.

“This is…” With a flicker of surprise, Golden Monkey’s eyes narrowed, studying the Small Formation that had taken shape.

Though small, the Formation was complete in every respect.

What was even more alarming, it had been set up in the blink of an eye. Such a display of mastery made even Golden Monkey raise his brows.

However, in the next instant, his expression changed, and a trace of shock surfaced in his eyes.

“Lord Demon Emperor, your comprehension of Formations… has reached such a level?” His voice was teeming with incredulity, as if he found it hard to digest.

However, he could hardly be blamed.

This millstoneisc-sized Formation was, in fact, a High-Grade Spirit Formation.

And a High-Grade Spirit Formation, if designed for offense, was enough to threaten even a Tier-6.

However, now, with just a light tap of the Demon Emperor’s finger, a High-Grade Spirit Formation had already taken shape. What was even more remarkable was that he could not tell what kind of Formation it was.

“Another self-created Formation…!?” Golden Monkey couldn’t help but mutter his surprise, the shock in the depths of his eyes growing stronger.

“This is Nebulix Nexus,” Yu Zi Yu stated calmly. “A Trap Formation I’ve deduced by observing the movements of the stars. This time, I’ve invited you to evaluate this for me…”

As he spoke, Yu Zi Yu waved his right hand.

*Booooom…* With a thunderous roar, the nebula-like Formation hovering over the stone table instantly expanded, swelling to engulf Golden Monkey.

In the next moment, his figure vanished, leaving behind star-like specks that drifted in the depths of the bamboo grove.

…

The Dao of Formations lay in change.

And to cultivate the Dao of Formations, one must possess innate talent.

This talent was neither an aptitude for cultivating techniques nor for tempering the flesh. It was the gift of a clear mind and exquisite perception.

With a mind that could deduce hundreds of changes, one’s study of Formations would advance as if given wings.

In this regard, Yu Zi Yu was perhaps not very talented, but he did have something to be proud of.

Only now did Yu Zi Yu realize: He seemed to have an inborn talent for Formations.

Even without inheritances, even without great opportunities… Merely from Golden Monkey’s occasional guidance, and from a single remnant of a Starlight Gathering Formation, he had climbed to his current attainment in the Dao of Formations.

He had attained such terrifying mastery that he could draw upon the power of the universe itself and threaten even a Tier-6.

From this alone, one could see the depth of Yu Zi Yu’s talent.

And now, Yu Zi Yu was using Golden Monkey to test and verify his years of comprehension.

…

Time slowly trickled down, and in the blink of an eye, several days had gone by.

Then, on this particular day…

Suddenly, in the bamboo grove of the Realm of Life, dazzling beams of various colors filled the grove.

And in the next moment…

*Booooom…* With a world-shaking surge of power, a Divine Monkey burst forth from the sea of starlight.

Yet, to one’s surprise, this Divine Monkey was in a rather sorry state. His hair was disheveled, his face showing clear exhaustion.

“How does it feel?” As the sudden question echoed in his ears, Golden Monkey’s expression changed again and again.

“Master…” With rare helplessness in his tone, Golden Monkey admitted, “This Formation of yours… truly gave me trouble. I spent an entire year just to barely unravel it… yet the moment I did, the Formation changed. It was filled with traps within traps. I had no choice but to tear my way out with brute force.”

“Is that so…” Yu Zi Yu murmured, a faintly amused expression reflecting on his face.

“As I thought, when Time is woven into a Formation, its power increases exponentially…” mumbling in a soft voice, Yu Zi Yu could not help but feel delighted.

[No wonder Time Formations are considered second only to Forbidden Formations. Now it’s clear why. By simply blending in a trace of Temporal Energy, an ordinary High-Grade Spirit Formation can reach astonishing heights, even trapping someone of Golden Monkey’s caliber for a while.]

[More importantly, I had used time acceleration, causing time within the Formation to flow faster. But next time… if I were to use time deceleration, slowing time within the Formation, then… a single month within the Formation would equal a year outside. Would that not be even more terrifying?]
