At this moment, Yu Zi Yu could already foresee the upheaval that would sweep through one great Force after another.

However, he cared not one bit about their upheaval.

Invitations had been sent already.

Now, what remained to be seen was how many Forces would dare not show up.

As a matter of fact, what Yu Zi Yu was looking forward to the most was whether some clown would dare come and stir up trouble.

“Tell me, Nine Tails,” he asked, with a shadow of a smile dancing on his lips, “if the remnants of the Elemental Clan or Shadow Clan show up to cause a scene, what should we do?”

Her voice, as clear as silver bells, rang out softly from beside him, “Simple. Slap them dead.”

Though her tone was light, a chill had crept into her voice, sharp and biting cold. One would have to be blind not to notice it.

If anyone dared ruin her Master’s grand return ceremony, then no matter where they hid, be it the highest Heaven or the deepest Hell, Nine Tails would hunt them all down and wipe them from existence.

“Haha…” Yu Zi Yu laughed out aloud, his eyes narrowing in delight.

[Yes, if any clowns came… I can just slap them to death. One slap would be more than enough. And no, not just clowns. Even if someone came wielding an Imperial Artifact…I will crush them. That would perfectly demonstrate the domineering posture of the Demon Emperor.]

As this thought took root, his Spiritual Energy began to stir, faintly surging with momentum.

At the same time, a strange, indescribable anticipation flickered deep within his eyes. He was starting to look forward to the celebration of his return.

And just as that anticipation simmered beneath the surface, several familiar faces entered his view, including Slytherin, the very general who had once subdued the Shadow Clan. A hundred years had passed, and his baleful aura was more intense than ever.

Even in his Humanoid Form, he could not conceal his terrifying nature.

*Hissss…* A low hiss echoed from the distance as Slytherin approached.

His long, teal-green hair fluttered in the wind, while his golden, serpentine pupils glinted with danger. A sweep of violet eyeshadow stretched all the way to his nostrils, adding to his otherworldly allure. His skin was deathly pale, like it had not seen sunlight in decades.

This was Slytherin’s Humanoid Form. Despite the distance, a fearsome coldness could be felt radiating from him. Like a serpent from Hell, he inspired a nameless dread in all who beheld him.

“Master… the preparations for the grand celebration are underway. Our forces have secured every corner of the Solar System. If any undue disturbance arises, it will be crushed instantly.”

“Good,” Yu Zi Yu nodded, entirely at ease.

With Slytherin working behind the scenes, he had nothing to worry about.

It was worth noting: the current Slytherin had already become a Half-Step Hegemon, a being of overwhelming might. He had not only suppressed the entire Shadow Clan, but also seized control of their very Shadow Realm.

Now, the universe knew him by another name, Malovelance.

Such was the terror he commanded.

And yet, a creature of such infamy had returned of his own accord just to stand guard at Yu Zi Yu’s side.

What more proof did one need of his loyalty?

“Even after a century… you haven’t changed one bit.” With a rare trace of praise in his voice, Yu Zi Yu smiled faintly.

“If not for Master, I would not exist.”

His words might have been few, but they held everything within them. And truly, it was so.

Yu Zi Yu had nurtured him from the days of his infancy. He had watched Slytherin grow with his own eyes. Among the three mutated young beasts from back then, Slytherin had turned out to be the most outstanding.

Of course, Auris and Lupin could not be underestimated either.

Today, both sat at the very core of the Demon Court.

Especially Lupin, he had begun to show signs of evolving into the legendary Cerberus of the Underworld.

This only further proved just how terrifying those three deformed beasts had once been.

Perhaps inspired by this, the Human Clan had begun experimenting with creating their own mutated beasts through nuclear radiation.

However, the news of such experiments could never see the light of day.

Within the Demon Court, only a scarce few were aware. To the rest, these secrets remained buried in silence.

And as for Princess Ling Er, the one who had tacitly given her approval to such inhuman trials, it was all for the sake of the Demon Court.

So long as the Demon Court grew strong, it didn’t matter to her how drenched her hands were in blood.

“If Master is the Towering Tree of the Demon Court, then I am its roots… Everything I do is for its strength.” Those very words had become a sort of creed, one that allowed Ling Er to tacitly approve countless unspeakable experiments conducted in the shadows of the Court.

No, perhaps ‘unspeakable’ was not the right word. It was simply natural selection.

Each Race had its own rules of survival. And compared to a mundane life lived in mediocrity, it was far better to endure darkness and torment, if it meant the chance to forge peerless prodigies?

Thus, it was worth it.

Of course, while Ling Er tacitly permitted it, she never got directly involved.

That responsibility fell to her loyal servant, the Vampire Steward, Kerry.

This Vampire, who had followed Ling Er since his youth, had strength that was nothing to scoff at.

Given his fearsome strength, he had every right to command the shadows.

Under his guidance, many secret research programs continued smoothly and efficiently, hidden from the eyes of the world.

Rumor had it, some of those experiments were already bearing fruit.

…

“Slytherin, when you suppressed the Shadow Clan back then… did you face any difficulties?” In a rare moment of reflection, Yu Zi Yu asked about Slytherin’s past glory.

After all, to suppress an entire race with one’s own strength, only someone carrying the inheritance of an Eternal could manage such a feat.

“Difficulties…” Slytherin’s voice trailed into a murmur, his expression pausing for once.

After a moment of silence, he finally spoke with honesty, “The Shadow Clan is incredibly strange… While I did crush most of their powerhouses, two of their branches managed to escape. Even I couldn’t track them down…”

“That is fine.” Yu Zi Yu chuckled lightly, totally unconcerned.

The Shadow Clan possessed ten branches.

If only two had escaped, that was already an excellent outcome.

For anyone else, just subduing one branch would be a tremendous feat, but Slytherin, alone, had suppressed nine.

Just then, as if recalling something, Slytherin raised his eyes and smiled faintly. “However, Master… I sealed the Generals of the nine branches within masks, and had Elder Sister Nine Tails reinforce the seal. If you so wish, you can now use these nine masks… to command the nine legions of the Shadow Clan.”

“Oh!?” Yu Zi Yu’s eyebrow rose in intrigue.

[I can command the legions of the Shadow Clan through masks!? Is that even possible!?]

Sensing Yu Zi Yu’s doubt, Slytherin took the rare initiative to explain, “Master, the low-tier Shadowkins mostly don’t possess any intelligence. And due to the Shadow Clan’s militarized nature… their legions are trained to obey their respective Generals, their Kings, without question.

Now, if someone dons the masks, they can awaken the Shadow Clan’s sleeping legions within the Shadow Realm and take command. It’s akin to holding an imperial command token.”

As he spoke, Slytherin slowly raised his hand.

*Booooom…* Amidst a deafening rumble, one black mast after another floated up from his palm, each one with a twisted ghastly face, shrouded in dark mist.

“Ghostshades… Darkshadows…Penumbra…each of the Shadow Clan legions are just awaiting your summon, Master.”
