Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1383: Chapter 1384: Mother-in-law Arrives in Full Force

When she was pregnant for the first time, the baby was gone before she even had time to react, so Cheng Su didn’t experience morning sickness or anything like that. Now that she’s going through it, she truly understands what it means to feel worse than death, to be completely uninterested in life.

”Come, come, the rock sugar bird’s nest is ready.” Qi Taiguo carefully placed a bowl of the freshly stewed precious dish on the table, noticing Cheng Su’s face as pale as paper, feeling a dull pain in his chest.

He hadn’t expected that being pregnant would be this tough. Look, in just a few days, her face had become sharp and her complexion was not looking good.

”Let’s stop stewing this stuff; eating it is just a waste, I’ll only end up throwing it up!” Cheng Su said.

Whatever she eats, she throws up; even the best supplements can’t withstand that, better not to waste them.

”Nonsense, forget about waste for now. At least if it goes into your stomach and passes the stomach, a bit might reach the baby. You have to think this way, how can you not eat at all?” Qi Taiguo said, ”Let’s eat first, maybe eating will gradually get better!”

”But, I really don’t want to eat.” Cheng Su said with a bitter face.

”My dear, at least take a couple of bites.” Qi Taiguo’s face also turned sour, ”How can this go on? In a few days, I need to go for the holiday military readiness, what will you all do?”

It’s not like he could refuse, not even if his wife is pregnant or giving birth; when the duty calls, orders must be followed. Being in the military means having many obligations.

Cheng Su could only pick up the bowl and take two bites. As the smell stimulated her taste buds and sense of smell, she couldn’t help but feel nauseous, throw down the bowl, and run to the bathroom.

Qi Taiguo heard the retching sounds and looked at the bowl of bird’s nest, his face also turned sour; she can’t even eat this?

He hurriedly followed her to rub her back, as Cheng Su almost cried: ”I don’t want to have kids in the future!”

It’s just too painful!

Qi Taiguo was about to speak when he heard shouting from outside.

”Taiguo, Cheng Su, are you home?”

Qi Taiguo heard the voice sounding like his elder sister’s, first helped Cheng Su up, and then went to open the door.

Outside, it was indeed Qi Fenglian, and beside Qi Fenglian was Mother Qi, carrying large bags with three chickens tied up at her feet, clucking away.

”Mom, why are you here?” Qi Taiguo was stunned.

Cheng Su was also stunned; her mother-in-law had come over?

”I heard you were feeling really bad with the morning sickness, so I came to take a look while bringing a few chickens over.” Mother Qi pushed Qi Taiguo aside and entered the house, immediately seeing Cheng Su standing at the bathroom door.

”Mom!” Cheng Su pulled a smile.

”Oh my, your face is so sharp now? So thin, can my grandchild have anything to eat?” Mother Qi called out immediately upon seeing Cheng Su’s complexion and glanced downward: ”Still throwing up badly?”

”Just threw up!” Qi Taiguo looked at Cheng Su’s complexion and said, ”Can’t eat anything, whatever she eats, she throws up.”

”With such tossing, it’s definitely a boy!” Mother Qi’s eyes lit up.

Cheng Su’s face went dark.

At a time like this, she’s only thinking whether the baby in her belly is a boy or a girl?

In the countryside, who doesn’t want a boy? The phenomenon of favoring boys over girls is quite common, and the mother-in-law is certainly no exception.

If she were to give birth to a daughter, would she show her a sour face?

Thinking about this, Cheng Su glanced fleetingly at Qi Taiguo.

Qi Taiguo felt a pang in his heart and hurriedly said, ”Mom, think of a solution quickly, this constant vomiting isn’t a solution!” hastily changing the subject.
