Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1362: Chapter 1363: Come Find Me When You Grow Up

The arrival of Cheng Su and the others brought quite a buzz to the orphanage, but knowing they weren’t there for adoption, the children felt a slight disappointment, yet soon joined in play with Cheng Su and the others.

It wasn’t until the nun asked the children to take their afternoon naps that Cheng Su and his group were led to the room where Little Cheng Su was.

”Is it her?” Qi Taiguo saw a child wearing a floral cotton jacket and a little hat sitting on the crib, afraid to disturb her, he asked Cheng Su quietly.

Cheng Su nodded and walked over.

”Su, Su.” Little Cheng Su saw Cheng Su, extremely excited, this time her pronunciation was quite clear.

”Such a smart good child!” Cheng Su picked her up, teasing her with a smile, then looked at Qi Taiguo.

Qi Taiguo looked at her and then at the little child, her eyes were large, almond-shaped, her skin very fair, her hands also soft and tender.

So this is her, her childhood self.

Qi Taiguo shivered all over, looking back and forth between the two, feeling somewhat confused, yet gradually superimposing Cheng Su’s character onto the child, the two merging into a lively person.

Cheng Su noticed his bewildered look, smiled softly, and said, ”Do you want to hold her?”

Qi Taiguo walked over, reached out, and held the child, gazing into her eyes.

Little Cheng Su was not afraid of strangers at all, even though it was her first time seeing Qi Taiguo, he was a soldier, his features more stern and solemn than most men’s, comparatively rigid. Although now he had softened his expression entirely, he still seemed very imposing, yet somehow the little one was not afraid in the slightest and didn’t cry, just stared directly at him, eyes filled with curiosity.

Qi Taiguo felt at a loss, glanced at Cheng Su, then at the child, his throat moved: ”Su... Susu.”

Cheng Su burst into laughter.

Qi Taiguo felt helpless, saying, ”This is so strange, it feels like I’m looking at two versions of you, so confusing.”

Cheng Su sat down, saying, ”No matter how confusing, can it be as confusing as talking to myself? Just focus on her!”

Qi Taiguo agreed, tentatively reached out, and took her soft, seemingly boneless little fingers which grasped his hand, the sensation causing him to shiver.

It felt like being electrified, too magical!

”Little Su, so this is how you were, huh!” Qi Taiguo attempted to look at her, his voice low, a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

Little Cheng Su played with his fingers for a while, then looked up, her big eyes fixed on him.

Qi Taiguo saw his own clear reflection in those eyes as clear as a spring.

”You must remember me, when you grow up, come find me.” Qi Taiguo nodded at her round face.

Cheng Su was smiling initially, but hearing those words, she was taken aback.

Grow up to find him...

”Taiguo...” Cheng Su’s voice trembled a bit.

Qi Taiguo glanced over, seeing her unusual expression, couldn’t help but ask, ”What’s wrong?”

”You said to find you when she grows up, if it weren’t for being pulled off the building, I wouldn’t appear here now. Since I’m already here, then in the future, when she grows up and becomes me, who will pull her off the building to then return here?” Cheng Su said with difficulty.

She circled back to that snake tail paradox, now that she is here already, unless unexpected, she will live to future times, then does she pull her future self off the building? Why?

Qi Taiguo had only said it casually, but hearing her say that, he was stunned too.
