Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1355: Chapter 1356: Your Man Will Cherish You

By the end of November, the north wind raged, and Qing City had two heavy snowfalls, making people shiver in the cold.

”Goodness, compared to outside, this train carriage is like heaven and hell, it’s too cold outside!” Cheng Su sat on her train berth, exhaled deeply, took off her gloves, and rubbed her hands together.

Qi Taiguo was placing the luggage on the rack and said without turning his head, ”It’s enclosed in here, so naturally, it’s warmer. But if you sit for a long time, you’ll still feel cold. The heating system on this train isn’t very good now!”

They were heading to Guangcheng today to celebrate Old Master Cheng’s birthday, just having boarded the train while the north wind was howling outside.

”That’s true, but the trains in the future will get better and better, warmer, and cleaner too!” Cheng Su said.

Qi Taiguo turned around, and the two exchanged a knowing look and shared a mutual smile.

She was talking about the future, and Qi Taiguo naturally understood what she meant. She could say it because surely that’s how the future will be.

Thinking of this, Qi Taiguo also longed a bit for the future world...

”Hey, young lad, could you help me put this bag up?” A slightly hunched woman asked Qi Taiguo, holding a large red, white, and blue woven bag.

Qi Taiguo nodded, took her bag, and placed it on the luggage rack. Seeing someone else with a bag nearby, he also took it and put it up, receiving a chorus of thanks.

Cheng Su watched with a smile, leaning against the neatly folded quilt behind her.

Once he was done, Qi Taiguo sat next to Cheng Su, first grabbing her hand to check its temperature. Feeling it was still warm, he said, ”Pull the quilt over and cover yourself, you’ll feel cold after sitting for a while.”

”It’s fine, not cold yet, just my legs and waist are a bit sore.” Cheng Su said as she rubbed her waist and abdomen, secretly feeling a bit melancholy, suspecting her ”little days” were coming again.

”I told you not to carry the luggage earlier, but you wouldn’t listen, insisting on being strong. Now you know how it feels, right?” Qi Taiguo chided with a hum, but moved her legs onto his lap and gently massaged them.

Cheng Su immediately felt people’s gazes and flushed with embarrassment, trying to pull away, chiding, ”What are you doing? Everyone’s watching!”

”Haha, it’s nothing, nothing. You’re a couple, right? You two seem really loving, just like me and my old man when we were young!” The hunched woman sitting opposite smiled and said, ”This young wife is lucky, you can tell your man cherishes you.”

Cheng Su blushed and smiled, catching Qi Taiguo’s smug look. She glared at him then started chatting idly with the woman.

The woman had a lot to say, also heading to Guangcheng. She mentioned her daughter had given birth, and she was going to see her grandson. She also said how much better life is now, able to afford a sleeper berth, whereas before, simply having a ticket to sit on the ground was good enough.

Cheng Su smiled as well, knowing things would only get better.

Perhaps because it was warm inside the train and Qi Taiguo’s massage was so comfortable, Cheng Su began to drift off to sleep, especially as the train started moving, listening to Qi Taiguo chatting with everyone.

Qi Taiguo noticed Cheng Su hadn’t spoken for a while, turned his head to look, and realized she was asleep. Shaking his head, he removed her shoes and lifted her legs onto the berth, covered her with the quilt, and adjusted the pillow.

She didn’t even wake up, must have exhausted her last night.

Qi Taiguo smiled contentedly and turned back to chat with the others.
