Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1370: Chapter 1371: A Housewarming Gift That’s Too Hot to Handle

Old Master Cheng’s birthday banquet concluded in a lively manner. Joyful events bring high spirits, and the Old Master couldn’t help but drink a couple of extra glasses of red wine, feeling so cheerful he couldn’t find his bearings. He repeatedly instructed Cheng Su and the others to accompany him for morning tea the next day.

Cheng Su agreed and, with some effort, managed to persuade him to return home to rest.

Turning around, she saw Ning Ge and the person called Xiao Ying standing together, bickering, and couldn’t help but look over curiously.

Ning Ge looked over too, mouthing the words: it’s not what you think.

Cheng Su laughed, thought for a moment, and walked over to extend her hand to Song Jiaying: ”Hello, I’m Cheng Su!”

”I know, Old Master Cheng’s adopted daughter.” Song Jiaying shook her hand, and said, ”I’m Song Jiaying.” No more words were exchanged.

”I’m also Ning Ge’s friend.” Cheng Su smiled again.

Song Jiaying glanced at Ning Ge with an enigmatic smile: ”To think someone like you has friends, really unexpected!”

”An obligation!” Ning Ge replied nonchalantly.

Song Jiaying seemed miffed, snorted coldly, nodded at Cheng Su, hailed a ride, and left.

”What kind of person is that, as if someone owes her millions!” Ning Ge snorted lightly, turned his head to see Cheng Su’s ambiguous smile, and felt it glaring: ”Don’t overthink. It’s not what you think!”

”Oh, then what is it?” Cheng Su asked with a smile: ”I think the girl is nice, she may be cold but really quite attractive!”

”An iceberg, whoever gets close freezes, who cares.” Ning Ge said, ”Anyhow, don’t overthink, let’s go, the Old Master must be tired, need to head to the hotel for rest!”

Cheng Su shrugged and went back to Qi Taiguo’s side.

Qi Taiguo was talking with Cheng Yaozu, and after a few greetings and exchanges, they dispersed.

Back at the hotel, Cheng Su was so tired that she kicked off her high heels upon entering and collapsed on the bed with a long sigh: ”So exhausted, really worn out!” while rubbing her waist, it was too sore.

”Take a hot bath first to unwind, you’ve been running around all day; I’ll give you a massage later!” Qi Taiguo suggested.

Yet Cheng Su didn’t want to move at all.

Seeing her reluctance, Qi Taiguo could only prepare the bathing essentials and pajamas for her.

Cheng Su rested for a while and suddenly remembered the acknowledgment gift from Old Master Cheng. She grabbed her handbag and fished out the leather bag inside.

She had accepted the gift but hadn’t looked inside, wondering whether it was cash.

Undoing the string clasp on the leather bag, she emptied the contents.

Two documents fell out along with a key.

Cheng Su picked them up to look and froze. It was a real estate ownership certificate, featuring her name, detailing an apartment at such-and-such building, so close to the Cheng family, likely just two blocks away.

The Old Master has given her an apartment?

Cheng Su was shocked and picked up the other document, this time exclaiming aloud.

”What happened?” Qi Taiguo heard the shout and quickly came out of the bathroom, walking over.

Cheng Su glanced at the document, smiled wryly, and handed it over: ”Take a look!”

Confused, Qi Taiguo took it, looked, and was somewhat surprised, glancing at Cheng Su.

”Another apartment!” Cheng Su picked up the key and shook it.

She thought the acknowledgment gift was probably just a cash bonus, or at most some gold, silver, and jade articles. But didn’t expect that this Old Master, so extravagantly, would directly gift her an apartment, and a piece of land in the city center!

This acknowledgment gift is truly so generous it’s overwhelming!
