Back To The 80s: President's Doted Wife

Chapter 1378: Chapter 1379: All Torment the Single Dogs

This time in Guangcheng, besides attending Old Master Cheng’s birthday banquet, it was also to establish a godparent relationship. Cheng Su received a big gift, originally wanting to set up a charity fund for Old Master Cheng, but now she is pregnant and can’t handle it, so it has to be put aside for now as it’s not urgent.

But the house they were given, Cheng Su and the others have seen it; it’s a newly built house, a five-floor building, three bedrooms, with excellent south-north ventilation and lighting, fully furnished and ready for occupancy.

”Old Master Cheng is so good to you.” Ning Ge accompanied them on the tour and said, ”That’s great, I won’t need to stay in hotels anymore when I come in the future!”

”You’re quite straightforward.” Cheng Su glanced at him and said, ”Do you want a key?”

Ning Ge smiled, ”That would be great!”

”Even if I give you a key, you wouldn’t come often; your business is in Qing City, your focus is in the Capital, and even the branch here has Cheng Yaozu overseeing it, why would you come?” Qi Taiguo snorted.

Ning Ge raised an eyebrow, ”Hey, you two, how can you expose me like that! Someday when Cheng Yaozu and the others get married, I will have to come!”

Cheng Yaozu and Ying Xiaoya came out after visiting the room, just catching this sentence, and said, ”Of course, you have to come.” Embracing Ying Xiaoya’s shoulder, he added, ”So, when will you marry me?”

”You, so improper!” Ying Xiaoya glared at him, ignoring him, and only said to Cheng Su, ”Susu, this house is really nice.”

”If you two like it, you can come and stay. We don’t live here often anyway, and the house needs some life.” Cheng Su smiled and said, ”You can have the keys!”

”That’s a great idea, we can have our little world!” Cheng Yaozu’s eyes lit up as he looked at Ying Xiaoya amorously.

Ying Xiaoya blushed and shoved him away, ”You rogue, get lost, you shameless!”

Cheng Su and the others laughed at this.

On the side, Ning Ge watched from the sofa as Cheng Yaozu and Ying Xiaoya playfully teased each other. Qi Taiguo quietly asked Cheng Su if she was tired, feeling a bit lonely as a single person amidst all these couples.

Suddenly, a beautiful silhouette flashed through his mind.

He quickly shook his head, feeling that it was crazy to think about that chilly figure, he must have been overly stimulated and not right in the head.

After visiting the house, Cheng Su indeed handed the keys to Cheng Yaozu, saying that it still needed care and ventilation; leaving the keys was a necessity and having them bring some life to the house would be great.

After leaving the new house, they wandered around a bit more. Cheng Su and Qi Taiguo visited Qi Jianguo, who was studying in college in Guangcheng, bought some local specialties as it was nearing the end of the year, and took the chance to buy some gifts too, returning with a full load.

The next day, Cheng Su and the others bid farewell to Old Master Cheng and returned to Qing City. Since she was pregnant, she might not have the chance to visit Guangcheng for the rest of the year; the old man looked reluctant to part, and Cheng Su had to coax him for a while before he smiled again.

As for Ning Ge and the others, they were leaving too, but they would fly back, which was more convenient and quicker than taking the train.

”Brother, you must come to the Capital.” Old Master Ning held Old Master Cheng’s hand and repeatedly reminded him.

Actually, they both knew, being of such age, one in the south, the other in the north, that this meeting could well be their last.

For a moment, the atmosphere was thick with the sorrows of parting, and quite sentimental. Cheng Su turned away to wipe the tears at the corner of her eyes, fearing that they might get sadder seeing it, and soon smiled as she joined the others in persuasion...
