I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 590: Chapter 589: Q&A

Nian Fanghua had spent several days preparing the introduction for the Heavenly Blessing product. She revised her script repeatedly. Although she often attended such banquets, this was her first time on stage, so it was inevitable that she felt a bit nervous.

Nervousness was unavoidable, but Nian Fanghua did not shy away. She elegantly and gracefully walked onto the stage dressed in a wine-red suit dress, with intricate black embroidery on the cuffs and collar, adding a touch of steadiness to her appearance. Her exquisite makeup gave her a dignified and noble demeanor.

Many of the ladies in the audience fixed their gaze on Nian Fanghua. Lately, more and more people seemed to be wearing such formal dresses. Judging by the design and embroidery, they probably came from the same place. It would be worth inquiring about this later.

Nian Fanghua’s pure and sweet voice resonated through the microphone in the hall. She spoke neither too fast nor too slow, with a calm and steady pace, creating a very comfortable listening experience.

Nian Fanghua’s main task was to introduce the Heavenly Blessing products, so she kept small talk to a minimum and began using a projector to talk about the different levels of herbal cuisine offered by Heavenly Blessing.

She briefly mentioned one or two ordinary herbal cuisines without elaborating. While the guests weren’t all high-society figures, they were not ordinary either, with net worths of at least half a million. Naturally, it was necessary to introduce high-end products.

She introduced a total of eighteen Intermediate Medicine Cuisine dishes and fifteen Advanced Herbal Cuisine dishes, highlighting the main features and functions of the herbal cuisines.

”Regarding Intermediate and Advanced Herbal Cuisines, I wouldn’t claim they are immediately effective, but the speed of their effects will exceed your imagination. This isn’t just my personal opinion, it’s been proven by experts,” Nian Fanghua stated. She spent forty minutes introducing over thirty kinds of herbal cuisines, then made a concluding speech and finally handed over to Zheng Qiwai.

”Next, let’s invite the expert to explain,” Nian Fanghua said with a smile, motioning for Zheng Qiwai to come on stage.

Zheng Qiwai walked onto the stage and took the microphone from the Host. Although he hadn’t personally verified it, he knew that talismanic water was incorporated into these herbal cuisines. He was well aware of the effects of talismanic water, so he could say that there was no exaggeration in Nian Fanghua’s statement.

”Regarding the effectiveness of these Intermediate and Advanced Herbal Cuisines, Ms. Nian is correct. The reason we can’t guarantee immediate effects is due to individual constitutions, but the speed at which they take effect is unimaginable to most people. Furthermore, I’d like to add that while many herbal cuisines contain various additives, the cuisines from Heavenly Blessing have no additives. Despite having numerous herbs, their side effects are minimal—so minimal that you’d need to consume them for five hundred years to notice any,” Zheng Qiwai said.

Though young, he was equally adept at handling such occasions. He was a public figure in the field and frequently appeared on television, so everyone was quite familiar with him, and he was at ease in such an atmosphere.

Zheng Qiwai had far more influence than Nian Fanghua. He was speaking as the Vice Director of the Capital Medical Research Institute, representing the institute’s approval of these herbal cuisines, at least in the public’s view.

Zheng Qiwai’s affirmation prompted many business executives to whisper among themselves. If the herbal cuisines were indeed this effective, they could collaborate with Heavenly Blessing. Some executives had shopping malls or operated branches in food service and could introduce these herbal cuisines as high-end products. However, due to the high pricing of Heavenly Blessing’s herbal cuisines, even with many influential figures present, they dared not discuss cooperation easily for fear of failure.

This promotional event wasn’t open to the media, a decision made later by Beisitian. Although Ma Tianlai felt that it reduced the exposure, he believed the effect might not be much different. This was why he emphasized introducing a few key figures at the beginning of the guest introductions. With their presence, the event was sure to become a topic of conversation.

Word of mouth spreads quickly and could even add a touch of mystery to the story. Ma Tianlai had experienced such things before.

However, for Heavenly Blessing to become popular, some time would be needed—longer than previously anticipated.

After Zheng Qiwai finished his public promotion, he handed the microphone back to the Host. The Host smiled and took the microphone, saying, ”As a new company, if you have any questions about Heavenly Blessing, feel free to ask; Vice Director Zheng and President Ma will answer for you.”

This session was arranged as part of the process because many companies in the audience might be potential partners, especially those with large shopping malls or those planning to introduce foreign supermarket models, which were key points of Ma Tianlai’s attention.

After the Host’s remarks, there was a brief moment of silence, then someone showed interest. A chubby executive with a shopping center raised his hand, signaling, and the Host who had stepped off the stage quickly walked over to him, holding the microphone to him.

”I’m quite interested in this Intermediate Medicine Cuisine, but the prices are relatively high. If these products were shelved, wouldn’t they face sluggish sales? Of course, I know Boss Ma will definitely promote them later, but I want to know where your company’s confidence comes from so that we, as partners, can have the confidence to sell at this price!” the chubby boss asked, leaning back in his chair with a smile.

Whether he was genuinely interested in collaboration or trying to probe into Heavenly Blessing’s strengths, the question he raised was of concern to most people present.

Everyone knows the saying ’you get what you pay for.’ There are reasons for high prices, but when your products are priced too high, many will be deterred by the cost!

Zheng Qiwai was not part of Heavenly Blessing, so he found it challenging to answer this question. Ma Tianlai had already stepped onto the stage, and with a smile, he said, ”That’s an internal secret of our company, but I can tell you, Boss Wen, that the main ingredients for the Intermediate Medicine Cuisine were provided by Mr. Wei Zhongyuan.”

Boss Wen’s expression subtly changed. The legends about the Wei Family’s Wei Zhongyuan were numerous within the circles, and people with connections had heard some rumors about certain special groups.

If their assumptions were correct, the Wei Family belonged to such a special group, which meant that even though they kept a low profile, many people were aware of them. Perhaps not everyone knew who Wei Yuanqing was, but those familiar with the Wei Family certainly knew who Wei Zhongyuan was!

Boss Wen’s business was significant, and naturally, he had connections. He had long heard similar rumors, but rumors are unverified tales, which added an air of mystery to the Wei Family.

Although unclear about the specifics, Boss Wen knew that when Wei Zhongyuan was involved, no illness went untreated because he didn’t rely on traditional Western or Chinese medicine methods.

If the main ingredient of the Intermediate Medicine Cuisine truly came from him, there could indeed be something unique about it.
