I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 553: Chapter 552: Do You Know What You Did Wrong?

Yuan Ping said it’s best to help find it, and when Luo Anguo saw the homeroom teacher was about to leave, he hurriedly tried to keep her for dinner, but Yuan Ping politely declined with a smile.

Yuan Ping left, and Luo Xuping became even more nervous. He knew it was time for him to be interrogated, so he hung his head low, lips tightly pressed together, with a look of grievance and defiance on his face.

Mrs. Qin came in later. Although she didn’t say anything, she was listening intently. She sighed, glanced at the gloomy-faced Luo Anguo, and then looked at Beisitian.

”Ping’an, what’s this all about? Tell your sister,” Beisitian said.

Luo Anguo saw Beisitian had spoken, so he had to suppress his anger. He wasn’t sure what he was angry about. Angry that his son fought back, but the other side went too far. Whatever the case, this matter was unresolved, leaving a smoldering frustration in his heart.

”They call me names every day...”

Luo Xuping spoke, and his eyes filled with tears, yet stubbornly, he wouldn’t let them fall, feeling both aggrieved and angry.

”Later, the three of them cornered me behind the restroom to beat me up and insulted me, so I hit them back.”

Luo Xuping hadn’t told the family about any of this. Being insulted is nothing to be proud of. He was already eight years old and thought it would be embarrassing to talk about it. Plus, he didn’t want to worry his parents as his sister was pregnant, and he saw how tired she was every day, so he endured it. But eventually, he couldn’t hold it in.

Mrs. Qin was so angry upon hearing this that tears started to fall. How can the children in the Capital City be so bad? What kind of behavior is this? This can’t just be explained away with a word like ’naughty’!

Luo Anguo was also very angry. How could he, as a father, feel comfortable when his son was bullied like this? Not only that, but they also retaliated by demanding compensation!

Both Luo Anguo and Mrs. Qin felt especially humiliated. Being bullied to this extent and still having to compensate the other party; if they actually paid, wouldn’t it just be infuriating?

Most eight-year-old children are still being pampered by their parents and don’t understand much. It’s said that children from poor families grow up early. Due to earlier circumstances, Luo Xuping matured very early, so he thought a lot. Thus, at such a young age, he learned to endure.

Both Luo Anguo and Mrs. Qin didn’t know what to say. Scold the son for not fighting, but he was already wronged enough. Reason with the other party? They were newcomers to the city, didn’t understand much, and neither of them had fully adapted. They didn’t even feel confident enough to argue with others.

After Luo Xuping finished talking, he kept his head down, trying hard not to let the tears flow. His sister said a real man doesn’t cry.

Seeing this, Beisitian felt a pang of guilt. It was her neglect of Luo Xuping during this period. She said, ”Ping’an, do you know where you went wrong?”

Luo Xuping pursed his lips and reluctantly said after a while, ”I shouldn’t have hit them.”

”That’s not it.”

Luo Xuping looked up in confusion.

Beisitian wiped away his tears, ”There’s nothing wrong with hitting them. The mistake was not covering your tracks.”

Luo Xuping looked even more bewildered.

”If it were your brother in this situation, what do you think he would do?” Beisitian asked.

Luo Xuping thought for a moment and shook his head. He didn’t know his brother Luo Xudong that well, not as well as Beisitian did.

Beisitian patted Luo Xuping on the head and sat him on the sofa. ”Your brother would’ve hit them so hard they wouldn’t dare complain.”

”Uh...”

”How do you think I would handle it?” Beisitian asked again.

Luo Xuping thought if it were Beisitian in this situation, it wouldn’t have turned out like this, but he was just a student and didn’t know how to describe it.

”I would leave them speechless,” Beisitian said, handing Luo Xuping a glass of water.

Listening on the side, Luo Anguo and Mrs. Qin were dumbfounded. Little Tian’er, is it really okay to educate children like this?

”You’re a man, and if you let people bully you outside, it means you lack ability. If you don’t want to be mistreated, you need to have skills. Retaliation should be justified, at least leave them with nothing to say,” Beisitian said.

Luo Xuping nodded blankly. He was prepared to be scolded, but it seemed different from what he expected. Hearing these words from his sister made him both happy and ashamed.

”To retaliate, use all available resources around you, as long as it makes sense,” Beisitian saw that Luo Xuping hadn’t fully understood, so she didn’t say more. He was still too young to remember so many theories; she would show him through actions, leaving a concrete impression in his mind.

”Little Tian’er, you’re going to school tomorrow?” Luo Anguo asked.

She, with her big belly, going up against two other parents, it could lead to an argument, and surely a lot of anger. He didn’t want Beisitian to go. He thought to go and apologize; after all, the child didn’t really suffer too much. If it got worse, just pay a little compensation.

”Mom, why don’t you come with me? After all, I’m just Ping’an’s sister-in-law, and if they use that as an excuse, it wouldn’t be good for me to say anything. Dad, you don’t need to go. The two of us are enough.”

The reason Beisitian wanted to bring Mrs. Qin was that she used to be quite fierce. Although years of hardships had worn off her edges, she remained more formidable than Luo Anguo, who was thinking of resolving it peacefully.

Luo Xuping was only eight years old, and his worldview and outlook on life were not fully formed. This incident had already left an indelible mark on his young heart. If not handled well, it would affect his whole life!

Luo Anguo sighed, feeling truly aged. Years of being bedridden had sapped his spirit. He sighed again.

Beisitian could actually understand the mindset of Luo Anguo and Mrs. Qin now. When she first came to this world, she felt the same fear. Fear of the unknown and facing endless uncertainty, she just wanted to hide in a corner quietly observing, not daring to show any sign of standing out.

It was only after lying in bed for more than half a month to almost a month that she gradually adapted.

Originally, Luo Anguo and Mrs. Qin weren’t people who could be easily pushed around. But in a big, unfamiliar city like Beijing, they felt somewhat humble and dare not offend anyone.

Luo Xuping didn’t get scolded, but instead felt even worse. He knew the less-than-pleasant atmosphere at home was because of him. He spent the entire night pondering Beisitian’s words, thinking about how his sister would’ve handled it if it were her situation.

Luo Xuping lay his small body against the big windowsill, looking at the bright moonlight outside. For the first time, he began to seriously contemplate these issues.
