I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 589: Chapter 588: Introducing the Guests

At the back tables sat members of the Wei Family and the Tian Family, also people of considerable influence in this generation. Zheng Qiwai was at the second table, sitting with Wei Zhongyuan and others from the Wei Family.

The Wei and Tian families occupied roughly three tables. Further back, executives from state-owned enterprises occupied about a table and a half, and the remaining were filled by presidents and chairmen from various companies.

Luo Xuhua and Shao Simin did not receive any special treatment despite their relationship with Beisitian; their table was around the seventh. This left Shao Simin somewhat displeased, considering they were Beisitian’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law. This seemed too far removed!

Despite her displeasure, Shao Simin did not dare to throw a tantrum in such a setting, choosing instead to suppress her annoyance, thinking that she should ask Beisitian afterward if she was unaware of their attendance.

Luo Xuhua remained silent throughout. He knew that Beisitian was unlike ordinary rural women but did not expect her to be unusual to such an extent, which truly exceeded his expectations!

This Heavenly Blessing, Luo Xuhua knew, was established after Beisitian withdrew her shares from Shenghua Group to collaborate with Ma Tianlai.

However, he always believed that such a new company would need at least five years to achieve any results, and five years was considered short; the company’s name wouldn’t even become known, even with Ma Tianlai’s cooperation.

So he maintained an observer’s attitude, still hoping to collaborate with the Tian Family.

But now, looking at the Heavenly Blessing promotion event attended by many presidents and chairmen, these individuals attended indeed due to Ma Tianlai’s influence, but what about the big shots at the front tables, including the mysterious Wei Family?

They weren’t here for Ma Tianlai but for Beisitian.

Now, he suddenly regretted; if he hadn’t sought collaboration with the Tian Family through Beisitian back then, would Shenghua Group’s herbal cuisine company already have earned its reputation?

If that were the case, there would be a place for Luo Xuhua at the very first table.

Luo Xuhua realized his misjudgment. He always thought that collaborating with the Tian Family was the way to success, leveraging the reputation of Tian’s Herbal Cuisine. But now, the Tian Family came to support Heavenly Blessing, hinting at the promising future of Heavenly Blessing.

That prestige and wealth initially belonged to Shenghua Group...

Luo Xuhua couldn’t quite articulate his current feelings. Perhaps he had experienced smooth sailing in recent years, or maybe what he deemed his respectable capabilities were seen as laughable in others’ eyes.

Indeed, in the eyes of people at the first six or seven tables, he was just an unknown public company president.

Without the label ’public company,’ he probably wouldn’t qualify to sit at the current table.

The event was hosted by two famous television hosts. Initially, Ma Tianlai was concerned their fame might overshadow the event, but now the hosts merely added flair.

”Distinguished guests, good evening, and welcome to the Heavenly Blessing promotion event...”

The voices of a male and a female host resonated through the hall, starting with an opening remark, then inviting Ma Tianlai on stage for his speech.

Ma Tianlai held the microphone and began to speak slowly.

”Firstly, I welcome everyone here supporting Heavenly Blessing. Many of you know me; I’ve worked in real estate, import-export trades, and the snack industry. I’ve now had the fortune to meet a benefactor, my benefactor Ma, and now my boss, in starting Heavenly Blessing. I hope, as we continue developing, you will support this emerging company and me, Ma, so that I can achieve more and maybe even request a pay raise from my boss!”

Ma Tianlai initially expressed his position and allegiance to Beisitian. Later, he eased the atmosphere with a joking tone, managing the event’s rhythm very well.

”Just a little joke, I trust the boss won’t treat me poorly. Now, let me formally introduce my boss and some important guests here in support of Heavenly Blessing!”

”This is my boss, Beisitian, also the largest shareholder of Heavenly Blessing!” Ma Tianlai went on stage personally to introduce Beisitian and a few important guests.

He needed to seize the opportunity to make a name for himself to better navigate the Mainland in the future.

Beisitian stood up with a light smile on her lips, briefly glanced around, nodded slightly, and then sat down.

Although it was just a brief moment, everyone craned their necks to look at Beisitian, making a mental note of her appearance.

”Next, this is Lieutenant General Wu Yuekai, also a senior highly respected by our boss!” Ma Tianlai said.

Wu Yuekai had a smile on his face and waved lightly.

”This is Lieutenant General Zhou Biwu. Thanking General Zhou for his support!”

Zhou Biwu did not stand, nodding to the crowd instead.

”Next is Lieutenant General Du Kai Bo, director of the 300 PLA Hospital...”

”This is Colonel Mei Siyuan, director of the Air Force Hospital...”

”This is Secretary Cheng of the X Province Committee, Cheng ZhenGuo, and his wife...”

”This is the head of the Wei Family, Wei Yuanqing, and the heir, Wei Zhongyuan...”

”This is Tian He from the nationally-renowned Tian Family and his wife, Dong Fengzhen...”

As Ma Tianlai introduced them one by one, the attendees who had been speculating about the identities of these guests gasped. Each person introduced was an extraordinary figure.

The two authoritative generals were beyond words. Wu Yuekai was a renowned figure from previous generations in the Military Department, a towering presence. Zhou Biwu was also a seasoned general not to be underestimated.

Those assumed to hold civil ranks turned out to be directors of the 300 Military District Hospital and the Air Force Hospital! These weren’t just ordinary civil positions; who hasn’t had a major or minor illness or needed to visit a hospital!

Many people knew about the Tian Family, especially those in the food industry, while the Wei Family surpassed even the Tian Family in status. If Wei Yuanqing was unknown, Wei Zhongyuan was quite familiar to many.

Many big bosses flaunt the ability to invite Wei Zhongyuan, capitalizing on such a hard-to-invite talent who certainly possessed skills. While not claiming instant cures, his presence generally brought reassurance to patients.

But Wei Zhongyuan was sitting at the second table.

Ma Tianlai only introduced the first table guests. Detailed introductions were unnecessary, as no one would compare themselves with the individuals at the first table.

Once finished with introductions, it was time to present Heavenly Blessing’s products. Although Zheng Qiwai was a public promotional figure, he was not a representative of Heavenly Blessing, so introducing the products was left to Heavenly Blessing’s personnel.

Ma Tianlai had already made a selection for this task. After consulting with Beisitian, it was entrusted to Nian Fanghua. Her pleasant voice fit this role well, providing her an opportunity to shine.
