I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 554: Chapter 553: Try Hitting Someone and See!

The next morning, Beisitian and Mrs. Qin woke up early to tidy up, preparing to take Luo Xuping to school.

In light of Teacher Yuan’s comment yesterday about a problematic parent who even planned to get physical with Luo Xuping, an eight-year-old child, the two decided to accompany him to school together.

Chen Jinliang came over in the morning. Ever since Beisitian resigned, he no longer had to pick and drop her every day, but this also left him with free time.

Picking and dropping Beisitian seemed limiting, but not being in the military allowed him to roam freely after dropping her off.

”Sister-in-law, where are you heading today?” Chen Jinliang asked with a smile.

”To Seventh Primary School,” Beisitian replied.

Chen Jinliang glanced at Mrs. Qin through the rearview mirror; nothing showed on Beisitian’s face, but Mrs. Qin looked a bit anxious. What was happening?

He didn’t ask further, since he was going along anyway, he would just follow and see what was going on.

The school entrance was under construction, parking was not allowed, so Chen Jinliang parked the car on another street. Beisitian and Mrs. Qin got off with Luo Xuping to walk over.

The road wasn’t far, just a turn away, and Chen Jinliang would catch up after parking.

At the school gate, they saw a man and two women with two children standing by the main gate, looking fierce and expectant, as if waiting for someone.

Because of where they stood, they appeared to be looking for trouble. Many students passing by kept their distance, and some lower-grade students were brought by parents who also kept their distance, attracting considerable attention.

”It’s them!” Luo Xuping pointed to the people standing by the main gate.

With his voice, the man and two women noticed Beisitian and Mrs. Qin, glanced at Luo Xuping, and their eyes seemed to blaze with anger.

The parents of these two classmates hadn’t calmed down overnight. Instead, after contacting each other, they learned that Luo Xuping hit first. This made them feel justified, and they planned to demand compensation and a public apology in school from Luo Xuping’s parents. By the end of the discussion, they were eager to confront them the following day.

Beisitian and Mrs. Qin walked toward the two parents. Mrs. Qin, seeing Beisitian with a calm expression, took a deep breath, feeling a bit more confident, yet still had a confrontational look on her face.

Before leaving, Beisitian had told Mrs. Qin that they were also there to confront, not to apologize.

The man stood over 1.8 meters tall, somewhat fat, with a slightly protruding belly, and his height coupled with his build was quite imposing when facing Mrs. Qin and Beisitian.

This man was Wu Biao, Wu Xiao Niu’s father. The woman with a bland face, wearing glasses, and looking sharp was Wu Xiao Niu’s mother.

The other woman was rather plump, with a gold bracelet sunken into her flesh, her face covered in thick powder. It was obvious she applied powder on her neck but forgot her ears, making the two yellow-black ears stand out, with greasy hair pulled back like it hadn’t been washed in days.

”Are you Luo Xuping’s parent?” Wu Biao aggressively pointed at Beisitian’s nose, mistaking her for Luo Xuping’s mother like Yuan Ping.

After all, at Beisitian’s age, having a son like Luo Xuping seemed plausible, while Mrs. Qin appeared a bit older.

Beisitian nodded, ”Yes.”

”Did you know your son hit my son!” Wu Biao shouted at Beisitian.

This shout drew everyone’s attention at the school gate, with many parents stopping to see what was happening, and some higher-grade students also watching from afar.

”Why did he hit him?” Beisitian’s voice was neither loud nor soft, but clear and crisp, making everyone around hear distinctly.

”What the hell do you mean why he hit him, you think you have a reason to hit someone, is that it? Is this how you parent, do you believe I’ll beat the hell out of you!” Wu Biao glared with wide eyes, stepping forward, looking at Beisitian with menace as if ready to strike at any moment.

For an old woman and a pregnant woman, if he didn’t scare them to death, he wouldn’t be called Wu Biao.

”Try hitting one!”

A sullen voice sounded from beside Wu Biao.

Wu Biao immediately turned his head to see two tall and strong soldiers briskly approaching in military uniforms.

As soon as these soldiers arrived, his height and size advantage disappeared. Without comparison, there’s no harm, compared to Beisitian and Mrs. Qin, he was tall and strong, but next to these soldiers, his unsightly fat immediately became conspicuous.

”Who are you! We parents are settling our children’s issues, why are you meddling!” Wu Biao saw the unfriendly gazes of the two and felt a bit insecure but couldn’t show it, just trying to indicate that this was none of their business.

”Of course, we don’t intervene with parents settling issues, but what did you just say, about hitting someone?” Chen Jinliang squinted.

Once Wu Biao heard this, he felt justified and pointed at Beisitian, saying, ”Her son hit my son, shouldn’t I teach her a lesson!”

Chen Jinliang stepped forward, getting close to Wu Biao, and said fiercely, ”You bully my sister-in-law, don’t I have the right to teach you a lesson?”

Your sister-in-law?

Wu Biao stared, seeing that Chen Jinliang was even more intimidating, immediately felt a bit fearful. However, unwilling to back down, his wife stepped up, hands on hips, pointing at Chen Jinliang’s nose and said, ”You think being in the military is something, you think you can bully us civilians, come on, everyone look, this People’s soldier is going to hit us!”

Wu Xiao Niu’s mother acted like a shrew, knowing a big man wouldn’t hit a woman!

She forgot that her man not only tried to hit a child yesterday but also wanted to hit a pregnant woman today!

Chen Jinliang and Li Yunfeng exchanged looks, their fierceness vanished, replaced by righteousness, standing straight with heads held high, letting Wu Xiao Niu’s mother scream, not speaking a word in retort.

This woman’s voice was shrill, unless yelled at to scare her, but doing so would make them truly look like bullies.

Onlookers watched the commotion, with Wu Xiao Niu’s mother wailing alone, realizing no one paid her any mind nor stepped forward to support her. She eventually stopped.

At this moment, Li Yunfeng stood tall and said, ”As people’s soldiers, it’s our responsibility and duty to protect the people, and encountering bullying against the old, young, and pregnant, we cannot stand by!”

Bullying the old, young, and pregnant!

Indeed, among the three standing there, they embodied three categories of vulnerability. Wu Biao came threateningly, others aren’t blind, despite Wu Xiao Niu’s mother making a scene, no one stepped up for her, nor for Beisitian and the others.
