I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 551: Chapter 550: Found Someone to Handle Publicity

”Does Ping’an not like going to school?” Beisitian tentatively asked.

Luo Xuping thought for a moment, then shook his head, ”No, he doesn’t like it.”

Beisitian was silent for a moment, then turned to Mrs. Qin, ”Mother, do you have Ping’an’s report card? I remember he had an exam a month ago.”

”That, your father threw it away. Ping’an isn’t the kind of material for studying, he only scored over twenty points. In the future, it’s better to let him join the army.” Mrs. Qin said.

Even though she and Luo Anguo listened to Beisitian and let Luo Xuping go to school, he wasn’t cut out for studying, so he’d be fine if he didn’t continue.

Beisitian didn’t say more. School is certainly necessary, and whether Luo Xuping is cut out for studying is not something to decide now.

She also didn’t receive systematic schooling, in her past life teachers were hired to come home, but mostly taught the Four Books and Five Classics, which weren’t very useful, so she couldn’t tutor Luo Xuping. It seems she needs to find a tutor for him.

A solid foundation is essential for studying in the future, this is an urgent matter. Beisitian pondered whom to consult about finding a tutor.

People around either belonged to the military or were in business, none were related to education.

Beisitian first called Ma Tianlai, since he had kids, but unfortunately, his children attended aristocratic schools, and even if they hired tutors, they were from overseas.

It wasn’t relevant, so Beisitian had to seek others.

The call was directed to Tian Qiu, and although Tian Qiu didn’t know any teachers, she offered to ask around, having lived in the Capital for many years, which was much more helpful than Beisitian, who had only been there for a short time.

Beisitian had no one else to ask, so she had to wait for a response. If Luo Xudong were there, he might have some connections.

Thinking like this was without basis, but she had this feeling.

For the past few days, Beisitian kept asking about tutoring, when suddenly an unexpected visitor arrived at the house.

Hearing Zhuangzhuang constantly barking, Beisitian knew the visitor was either unfamiliar or a stranger. She walked out to open the courtyard gate and saw an unexpected person standing outside.

Zheng Qiwai!

Why was he here?

”What’s the matter?” Beisitian asked, not intending to invite him in.

”I have something.” Zheng Qiwai answered straightforwardly, ”I know you’re not Luo Jiale, sorry for my earlier rudeness.”

This was the first time Zheng Qiwai spoke so politely and normally, indistinguishable from a regular person.

Beisitian stared at Zheng Qiwai’s face, seeing his sincere attitude, she opened the door to let him in.

Once they were in the living room, Beisitian poured a glass of water for Zheng Qiwai and asked again, ”What is it?”

Zheng Qiwai didn’t touch the water on the table, his eyes fixed on the ground, seemingly thinking over something, then he said, ”You’ve started a company, haven’t you? You’re doing medicinal cuisine?”

”Yes.”

This wasn’t a secret, Ma Tianlai had been advertising it extensively.

”I can promote it for you.”

Zheng Qiwai said something Beisitian hadn’t expected at all.

Beisitian looked at Zheng Qiwai with an odd expression, ”What exactly do you want to do?”

Zheng Qiwai shrugged, ”Help you promote it; medicinal cuisine benefits the people, and since you’re the Mystic Doctor, your medicinal cuisine is surely effective. Plus, as the Deputy Director of the Capital Medical Research Institute, my endorsement is very credible!”

Indeed, what could be more convincing than the Deputy Director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute?

This point was immensely appealing, but Beisitian knew nothing comes without a price; Zheng Qiwai must have his motives, likely related to Bei Jiale?

”What’s the exchange condition?” Beisitian asked directly.

”There is one.” Zheng Qiwai answered promptly.

”What is it?”

Zheng Qiwai fell silent for a moment, then said, ”Help me take care of my sister and my mother!” He quickly added, ”It won’t need to be for long, once I’ve resolved the troubles around me, I’ll take care of them myself.”

Beisitian raised an eyebrow, looking at Zheng Qiwai’s flickering eyes, realizing he wasn’t disowning Zheng Lulu but was unable to acknowledge her, which reminded her of the warning Zheng Qiwai had given her before, to be cautious of Zhao Yilun!

If not for recalling this point, she would have forgotten Zhao Yilun entirely, though she probably wouldn’t have the chance to meet Zhao Yilun in the future, having resigned. No matter how mysterious, it wouldn’t concern her.

”Because of Zhao Yilun?” Beisitian asked.

Zheng Qiwai nodded, ”That’s the only condition, just help them when they need it, life is difficult for two women on their own.”

He pulled out a stack of cash and placed it in front of Beisitian, all one hundred denominations, roughly five thousand!

That wasn’t a small amount.

”Help me give this to them, but don’t say it’s from me,” Zheng Qiwai said.

Beisitian looked up at him, ”Do you trust me that much?”

Zheng Qiwai looked directly at Beisitian, ”You’re the Mystic Doctor, not short of money, and you look exactly like her, so you mustn’t be a bad person.”

Beisitian: ”...”

She wasn’t even sure if Bei Jiale was a good person, yet this man believed in Bei Jiale so much?

She wouldn’t judge Bei Jiale’s goodness or badness based on Zheng Qiwai’s attitude. Someone could be good to Zheng Qiwai and not necessarily to Beisitian, as different objectives lead to different treatments.

However, taking care of Zheng Lulu was not an issue, at least within her ability.

As for how to deliver the money, Beisitian had to think it through; Zheng Qiwai sure knew how to present challenges, but she indeed needed him for promotion.

Because of this matter, Beisitian’s view of Zheng Qiwai changed a bit; at least, he wasn’t heartless.

After Zheng Qiwai left, Beisitian called Ma Tianlai to inform him that the person for the promotion was settled, and it was free of charge.

Ma Tianlai didn’t know what to say, could something free be effective...

”What! Who did you say?!” Ma Tianlai couldn’t help but clean out his ear after hearing the name, was there something wrong with his hearing?

Zheng Qiwai, the Deputy Director of the Capital Medical Research Institute, that young deputy director with a reputation?!

He clicked his tongue in amazement, Doctor Bei was indeed Doctor Bei, getting someone like this was a great blessing, and it was even for free!

Ma Tianlai hung up the phone feeling overjoyed, with this person’s involvement, it would be hard not to succeed with the promotional event!

The Heavenly Blessing matter had reached a stage, and once it opened, it would enter another phase. Now what needed attention was finding a tutor for Luo Xuping.

Just as Beisitian worried about it, Luo Xuping’s homeroom teacher visited.

The teacher was a woman in her thirties, wearing a white high-neck sweater and trendy light blue flared pants, with slightly curled hair tied at the back, looking like a trendy person.

”Hello, are you Luo Xuping’s guardian?”
