I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 568: Chapter 567: Preparations

Nian Fanghua first found Ma Tianlai to talk about the matter. Her husband was her mainstay, so naturally, she discussed things with him first.

Ma Tianlai frowned, contemplating, and after a long pause, he said, ”Let’s do this. You wait until I finish with the matters here at the venue, and I’ll go with you to visit Doctor Bei.”

Nian Fanghua nodded. Her original intention was to help her husband, to be more valued by Doctor Bei. She had not expected things to turn out this way.

This matter involved the Mystic Doctor. Not mentioning it was not an option, but mentioning it would only add to Beisitian’s troubles. Alas, this was handled too inappropriately.

Ma Tianlai was now overseeing the venue. They initially wanted to use the building they purchased for the publicity event, but the venue was insufficient, and the location was not ideal, so it was not chosen in the end.

The venue now leased was the National Guest Hotel. No need to speak of the venue—just this hotel was remarkable. Sometimes it was used to host foreign guests, and some political figures hosted charity galas there.

Being able to rent this place also indirectly showed that Ma Tianlai’s connections were not as exhausted as he claimed.

Ma Tianlai was there to discuss arrangements with the manager, as there were more than ten days until the publicity event started.

Because those attending were all heavyweight figures, Ma Tianlai wasn’t comfortable entrusting anyone else. He could only act as a gofer and personally confirm every detail. Not a single mistake was permissible!

Beisitian was going to have a glorious future. Ma Tianlai was certain of this. Now, as she kept her talents hidden, he was among the first to support her. He had to demonstrate abilities that satisfied her, so that no matter how many influential figures came in the future, none could replace him!

Ma Tianlai made preparations in advance. No small detail could go wrong for him to securely stand by Beisitian’s side; he had to show his worth.

Nian Fanghua understood this too, but she lacked Ma Tianlai’s calmness and became hasty, leading to this blunder.

Now she deeply regretted it.

The venue matters were mostly resolved; it was the final confirmation. Since this publicity event was significant, Ma Tianlai directly booked a day and a half. Setup could begin two days ahead, and half a day’s venue rental cost five thousand!

At this time, five thousand was indeed a large sum!

Once everything was settled, Ma Tianlai took Nian Fanghua to the small courtyard. He hadn’t been there for a while and should personally update Beisitian on recent matters.

On the way, Ma Tianlai remained silent, his mind occupied with thoughts of the publicity event and company operations. Big bosses often seemed relaxed—others saw them merely signing documents, talking, and dining. But much required thorough mental consideration.

The venue was confirmed, and promotion would start on TV and newspapers over the next two days. Ma Tianlai had put much thought into the promotion strategies.

This promotion mainly aimed at giving the publicity event great exposure, making as many people aware and impressed as possible.

Usually, they would choose popular celebrities for promotion, but Beisitian didn’t want that, and Ma Tianlai felt innovation was necessary. Whatever happened, they at least wanted the public to remember the ”Heavenly Blessing” brand!

After much deliberation, he decided to first reveal part of the product pricing. This would indeed shock many but also leave a deep impression of ”Heavenly Blessing” products.

Exorbitant prices might deter buyers, so Ma Tianlai chose representative medicinal cuisine from ordinary selections and Intermediate Medicine Cuisine.

He planned to release a price list for exposure.

This was indeed a novel approach, and many would probably be taken aback by the price list.

Once revealed, and with some heavyweight figures at the event, the effect would likely turn around.

This still needed further discussion with Beisitian. As long as the key figures on the attendee list participated, he was confident this publicity event would make a lasting impression, making many remember ”Heavenly Blessing” in one go.

He wanted ”Heavenly Blessing” to become a premium gift brand for the future—gifting ”Heavenly Blessing” would add prestige!

Beside him, Nian Fanghua, seeing Ma Tianlai so silent, felt anxious, assuming this matter was difficult for him. After helping her husband for so many years, she hadn’t expected to spoil such a crucial issue.

Soon, in any case, he must not take too much blame; hopefully, Doctor Bei wouldn’t distance themselves because of this.

She sighed. Having caused Doctor Bei so much trouble, he might surely think they were incompetent. Being a couple, perhaps they might indeed grow distant, given that Doctor Bei was a significant figure.

Nian Fanghua was internally tormented all the way. Finally nearing the small courtyard, Ma Tianlai stopped the car, noticing her sitting inside, gloomy, and was taken aback. ”What’s the matter?” he asked.

Nian Fanghua looked up and sighed first. Lately, she didn’t know why she kept sighing unconsciously, with or without reason. This wasn’t a good habit.

”Tianlai, well, if Doctor Bei truly blames us, I’ll take full responsibility alone.”

Seeing her in this state, Ma Tianlai had a change of heart and understood the matter indeed caused Beisitian significant inconvenience.

”Unity in good times means sharing enjoyment with you; in bad times, how can I let you bear it alone? Let’s go.” Ma Tianlai reached out to help her down.

Nian Fanghua, already quite upset, was moved to tears by his comforting words. Fortunately, being older, she could control her emotions. Otherwise, going in with teary eyes wouldn’t look good.

When they entered, Beisitian was watching Zhuangzhuang and Luo Xuping play in the courtyard.

Beisitian had brought Luo Xuping out to play. Studying shouldn’t be rigid; balancing work and leisure with moderate relaxation was essential. Constant tension wasn’t beneficial, and it wouldn’t waste time, helping re-engage in learning with full dedication.

Seeing the couple approaching hand in hand, Beisitian led them inside the house.

Once inside, Ma Tianlai and Nian Fanghua noticed a stranger, a woman who wasn’t Mrs. Qin, making them curious.

Beisitian smiled and said, ”This is Gao Ma, newly hired as a helper.”

Mrs. Qin was getting on in age, and managing two courtyards was too tiring for her. Beisitian hired a helper, initially wanting to hire one for that courtyard too, but Mrs. Qin refused.
