I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s

Chapter 556: Chapter 555: It’s Not Over Yet

”Kids don’t understand anything!” Zhao Youcai’s mother looked at Beisitian and uttered an infallible statement, ”Can a child’s words be taken seriously? Naturally, they say whatever comes to mind.”

Anyway, their kid didn’t start the fight!

”That’s right, a child not even seven years old indeed understands nothing. How did he come up with the phrase ’born by a mother but not raised by one’? Did he come to this realization himself? It couldn’t have been taught by the teachers at school!” Beisitian’s tone gradually grew stern.

There were many teachers in the office, all from the same grade. Previously, they hadn’t realized this issue, but after Beisitian pointed it out and they thought carefully, they found it true. A six-year-old child indeed knows nothing, so how could he say something so vicious?

”Teachers’ ethics wouldn’t allow them to teach kids to say such things. We all know these words can’t come from teachers. There’s no other possibility except that parents influenced them or even taught them to say such things!” Beisitian coldly looked at Zhang Youcai’s mother.

These words were said by Zhao Youcai!

Zhao Youcai’s mother’s heavily made-up white face trembled as if powder was falling off, ”That’s not necessarily true. If the teachers didn’t teach it, he might have learned it from other classmates!”

Her unreasonable expression unnecessarily evoked disgust among the surrounding teachers.

Beisitian nodded, ”That’s also possible; birds of a feather flock together.” With that, she looked at Wu Xiao Niu and his parents.

Wu Biao glared, ”Our kid has never said anything like that! Don’t smear our kid’s name!” He turned his head and glared at Zhao Youcai.

Usually, Wu Xiao Niu, Zhao Youcai, and another student were closest, always playing together. They often bullied female students and isolated classmates, sometimes even emulating older students by extorting money at corners, finding it both fun and exciting!

So when Beisitian mentioned ’birds of a feather flock together,’ the faces of the two students’ parents changed.

Zhao Youcai’s mother was so angry that powder fell from her face as she pointed at Beisitian and shouted, ”But your kid hit someone!”

She clung stubbornly to that point.

Zhao Jinliang leaned against the door, folding his arms and looking at Zhao Youcai’s mother, chuckling, ”In my opinion, the beating was too light. If it were my kid, I’d tell him to beat him up. If he gets into trouble, I’ll back him up!”

He was so angry he had to interject.

Zhao Youcai’s mother’s face turned even paler as she pointed with a trembling hand at Zhao Jinliang by the door and said, ”Teacher, look, look at this! Such a person is too domineering!”

Yuan Ping lowered her eyes and stayed silent. Who is more domineering than you? When your child makes a mistake, instead of properly educating him, you bite back and demand compensation, even insisting on a public apology in front of the entire school!

How serious can a fight between six or seven-year-olds get? There have been fights in the class before, but it’s only making a fuss now because the parents found out the other party was from out of town.

”I don’t care; our kid was beaten and injured. We demand compensation!” Zhao Youcai’s mother stated, glancing sidelong at Wu Xiao Niu’s parents.

Now both sets of parents were in the same boat, bound together, so they naturally took the same side. Therefore, Wu Xiao Niu’s mother also demanded compensation but no longer insisted on a public apology!

Beisitian nodded simply, ”No problem with compensation, but I want a disability certificate from an official medical institution. Once you have the certificate, I’ll sell everything I own to compensate you!”

What kind of disability certificate? The child just had a small cut on his lip; where would the certificate come from!

”Don’t twist the facts; your kid hit someone, and that’s clear for everyone to see!” Wu Biao shouted in his loud voice.

His voice echoed, reaching half the hallway.

”Being reasonable isn’t about being loud. You can holler through the entire school, but without that certificate, I won’t compensate you. As for who’s being unreasonable, the teachers present can judge for themselves.” Beisitian’s voice remained moderate, just enough for everyone to hear.

Zhao Youcai’s mother coolly counted aloud, ”Isn’t it just a piece of paper? Fine, we’ll get one, but it takes a long time, and we don’t have that much patience. You can come with us, and if the doctor says there’s indeed an injury, you can compensate us on the spot.”

Zhao Youcai’s father knew some people at the hospital, and bribing someone would work. Getting it officially signed by the hospital would be tough, but if the doctor said there was an injury, they wouldn’t have a choice!

”No need for such hassle; I can help you contact some hospitals and get a certificate immediately.” Beisitian offered.

Wu Xiao Niu’s mother snorted, ”Hospitals you find? We’re not trusting sketchy little clinics you might go to, what if their stuff isn’t clean? And if you’ve already coordinated with the doctors, we’d suffer a silent loss!”

This was blatant disdain, assuming outsiders like you only knew unlicensed clinics.

”300 PLA Hospital, Air Force Hospital, 232 Military District Hospital, Capital Maternal and Child Health Hospital, you can choose one. Decide now and I’ll contact them. We won’t need to wait. You’ll get diagnosed immediately upon arrival, and if you’re worried, you can have a recognized official oversee the process,” Beisitian suggested.

Zhao Youcai’s mother scoffed, full of mockery, ”You make it sound as if you know people at all these hospitals. Alright, let’s have someone supervise us. Since your family has military connections, we won’t use a military hospital...”

Beisitian faintly smiled, ”Instead of anyone else, why not ask the principal to witness and supervise? I believe the principal would be concerned about matters happening at school.”

Both students’ parents fell silent. This trivial matter escalating to the principal was risky; once it was proven their kids weren’t injured, how could they continue at this school?

Wu Xiao Niu’s mother’s expression was awkward, her eyes dodging, ”It’s a small issue, no need to trouble the principal, right? Let’s first get the certificate, and when we do, we’ll ask you for compensation.”

Beisitian shrugged, ”You worry about me coordinating with the doctor, and I worry about you doing the same.”

”You...” Wu Xiao Niu’s mother fumed.

Seeing they were getting nowhere, the three parents exchanged glances, and Wu Biao, disgruntled, waved his hand, ”Forget it, forget it, let’s chalk it up to bad luck dealing with your family and take it as a lesson learned. Son, stay away from that kid in the future!”

This meant they weren’t pursuing the compensation anymore.

Li Yunfeng almost wanted to give a thumbs up; the matter was resolved just like that. His sister-in-law was truly impressive.

”Don’t rush; it’s not over yet,” Chen Jinliang said leisurely.
