Peninsula: Director of Public Prosecutions Starts with Daily Intelligence

Where is Jimin-unnie? (Seeking monthly votes)After a few drinks, Lee Se-hyun went to the restroom to splash some water on his face, preparing to return to the battle.

A voice came from behind him.

”Lee Se-hyun!” Ryu Jimin was slightly tipsy, having had a few too many drinks. She walked up behind him: ”I never properly thanked you for helping me get my wallet back last time.”

Seeing that it was Ryu Jimin, Lee Se-hyun responded, ”It was nothing major.”

”As a Prosecutor of the Great Han Republic, serving the people of The Peninsula is my duty, and you did invite me to dinner, didn’t you?”

”I still have to thank you.” Ryu Jimin stumbled, walked behind Lee Se-hyun, and whispered close to his ear: ”What do you want? As long as unnie can do it, I’ll definitely satisfy you.”

Feeling the warm breath from Ryu Jimin by his ear, Lee Se-hyun shivered sensitively and immediately turned around. Unexpectedly, the floor was slippery, and Ryu Jimin, not standing steadily, slipped and fell onto Lee Se-hyun.

”Ah!”

Lee Se-hyun’s eyes widened. Holding Ryu Jimin in his arms, he awkwardly asked, ”How much did you drink?”

”Slightly tipsy,” Ryu Jimin murmured dazedly.

”You call this slightly tipsy?” If Lee Se-hyun hadn’t seen Ryu Jimin’s flushed face, he almost would have believed her.

Their eyes met, and they remained silent.

The sudden silence in the air felt awkward, and the atmosphere was a bit strange.

”That...” Before Lee Se-hyun could finish speaking, a pair of red lips pressed against his.

”Mmm...”

Lee Se-hyun was shocked, his face full of disbelief. It just… came on like that? Without any warning, he was conquered, leaving behind the hidden poison.

Lee Se-hyun, impatient, kicked open the restroom door, with Ryu Jimin trailing behind him... (500 words omitted here)

Kim Winter, after drinking enough juice, wondered, ”Ji-min Unnie, why is she taking so long in the restroom? She still hasn’t come back? She didn’t fall into the toilet, did she?”

And that annoying Lee Se-hyun had also disappeared.

Kim Winter couldn’t rest easy, worried about Ryu Jimin, so she walked to the entrance of the women’s restroom and shouted, ”Unnie? Ji-min Unnie?”

”Ji-min Unnie? Ryu Jimin?”

She called out several times, but no one responded. She wondered, ”Is there no one in the restroom? Then where did unnie go?”

Kim Winter suddenly, as if by acurious coincidence (ghostly impulse), went to the entrance of the men’s restroom and shouted loudly.

”Lee Se-hyun!”

Bang!

It sounded like human noises coming from the restroom.

Hearing the sound, Kim Winter shouted even louder, ”Lee Se-hyun, are you in there?”

”Ah!”

?

How did Kim Winter hear a familiar voice, like Ryu Jimin’s voice? But wasn’t this the men’s restroom? She looked uncertainly at the sign above.

Yes, this was indeed the men’s restroom.

Lee Se-hyun desperately covered Ryu Jimin’s red lips, nervously saying, ”Ah? It’s Kim Winter. What do you want me for?”

Kim Winter, hearing a response at last, said with surprise, ”Lee Se-hyun, did you die in the restroom? You’ve been in there so long!”

”Ah, oh, my stomach is a bit uncomfortable.”

”Stomach uncomfortable?”

”Yes, I ate something bad.”

Kim Winter nodded, accepting Lee Se-hyun’s reason. An upset stomach, it’s normal to stay in there for a long time, understandable.

The two people in the restroom immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, Kim Winter was a stupid puppy, who would believe such a flimsy excuse.

Ryu Jimin patted her chest: ”Good, good, we weren’t discovered.”

Lee Se-hyun also patted his chest: ”Ah! Why are you pinching my thigh?!”

”What do you think?” Ryu Jimin slapped away Lee Se-hyun’s paw, giving him a death glare.

At this moment, after the scare from Kim Winter, she had sobered up quite a bit, completely changing her demeanor and putting distance between herself and Lee Se-hyun.

”Take your paws off me, and stay away from me!”

Lee Se-hyun pouted, disdainfully saying, ”Tch~”

The inheritor of Sichuan opera face-changing, Ryu Jimin! One moment she was calling him ’dear,’ the next he was ’dead man.’

”If Kim Winter finds out, you’re dead!” Ryu Jimin pinched his thigh again, warning him.

After the warning, Ryu Jimin hastily opened the restroom door, looking left and right, and ran off like a thief.

Lee Se-hyun kicked the door, cursing under his breath, ”Sibal woman, you were the one who provoked me, how did it end up with me molesting you?”

But Lee Se-hyun didn’t suffer any loss; he kissed what he should have kissed, touched what he shouldn’t have touched, he just didn’t unleash his ultimate move.

He went to the mirror, looked at his handsome face, washed off the hickeys on his neck with water, destroyed the crime scene, adjusted his state, and returned to his seat.

At this point, Kim Kunam and Cao Wenxi had drunk quite a bit and were both dazedly slumped on the table.

”Unnie, where did you go just now?”

”I was in the restroom.”

”No, you weren’t?” Kim Winter said with a suspicious look. Ryu Jimin’s face was flushed, still not out of the ’battle’ state.

Kim Winter reached out and touched Ryu Jimin’s cheek, exclaiming, ”Ji-min Unnie? Your face is so hot!”

”Are you running a fever?”

”Hmm, your Ji-min Unnie is in heat.”

Ryu Jimin glared at Lee Se-hyun, who was making sarcastic remarks.

Lee Se-hyun smiled. This ’in heat’ is not that ’fever,’ little Kim Winter.

Kim Winter, completely clueless, really thought Ryu Jimin was sick and asked with concern, ”Unnie, how did you get a fever? It’s not even cold today. Did you catch a chill from the air conditioner yesterday?”

Ryu Jimin said, ”Mm-hmm, maybe I caught a chill yesterday.”

The conversation between these two almost made Lee Se-hyun, who was beside them, burst out laughing.

”Haha.”

Ryu Jimin gave a deathly smile, a forced smile without genuine warmth, looking at Lee Se-hyun: ”What are you laughing at?”

”Exactly, unnie is sick, and you’re still making trouble.” Kim Winter looked at Lee Se-hyun with dissatisfaction.

The two women stood on the same side, attacking him, Mr. Li.

If Mr. Li couldn’t provoke them, couldn’t he at least avoid them?

”I thought of something happy!”

Kim Winter asked suspiciously, ”What happy thing? Unnie is sick, what’s there to be happy about?”

”My brother Seo Taesoo’s wife is having her third child.”

”Having a baby?” Although Kim Winter disliked Lee Se-hyun, she still nodded. Having a baby was indeed a big happy event, let alone a third child.

She particularly liked playing with children.

Ryu Jimin saw Lee Se-hyun’s unserious expression and knew he was definitely lying. He couldn’t fool her; such a low-level trick would only deceive a dazed stupid puppy like Kim Winter.

”Alright, alright, let’s end this topic.” Lee Se-hyun pointed at Kim Kunam and said, ”Your dad is drunk, probably can’t walk. What are you going to do?”

Kim Winter’s face showed difficulty; she clearly hadn’t thought of this problem. She herself lived in the company dormitory with her teammates, and it would definitely be too late to go to a house now.

The best solution was to stay in a hotel.

”Prosecutor Li!” Cao Wenxi suddenly woke up, startling everyone present: ”Leave such a small matter to me, Mun-seo.”

”I’m familiar with this area; I guarantee to arrange Mr. Kim Kunam properly!”

Dynasty!

Good heavens, Mun-seo, you were faking being drunk? Alright, alright, that’s a pretty slick move.

Lee Se-hyun nodded; Cao Wenxi was indeed reliable in his work: ”Then you arrange Kim Winter’s father, and I’ll take the two of them back to the company dormitory.”

”Yes, sir!”

Thankfully, this was a private room; otherwise, Lee Se-hyun and his group would have become the center of attention.

Kim Winter bowed in thanks, saying, ”Police Chief Cao, I entrust my father to you! Thank you!”

Ryu Jimin also thanked Police Chief Cao.

Police Chief Cao scratched his head, honestly saying, ”If you want to thank someone, thank Prosecutor Li.”

He clearly mistook the two beautiful women in front of him for Lee Se-hyun’s women.

Police Chief Cao dared not put on airs or display any police chief authority.

After Police Chief Cao took Kim Kunam to a nearby hotel, Lee Se-hyun said to Kim Winter, ”Alright, the wonderful first day is over. I’ll take you two back.”

It was indeed a wonderful day, especially the evening. Lee Se-hyun ate very well, the food was delicious, and he was quite comfortable, except for a small, unpleasant interlude.

The culprit was the stupid puppy in front of him.

Kim Winter said haughtily, ”Although I really dislike you...”

”Thank you!”

Lee Se-hyun teased, ”What’s the use of just saying thank you with your mouth? Show some actual action, stupid puppy.”

The last phrase, stupid puppy, was spoken in Chinese Language.

Kim Winter broke down, saying in a fierce but childish voice, ”Don’t say that Chinese Language phrase again!!”

”Not... not stupid puppy!!!”

”Haha!”

”Ah!” Lee Se-hyun exclaimed. The sibal woman pinched his thigh again.

Ryu Jimin giggled and leaned close to Lee Se-hyun, saying, ”You’re not allowed to bully our stupid puppy.”

Kim Winter looked at the intimately close pair and felt something strange, as if... as if they were a family of three, Lee Se-hyun and the other being the mom and dad, and she was the foolish... ”Unnie!!!”

”Don’t call me stupid puppy!!!”
