Peninsula: Director of Public Prosecutions Starts with Daily Intelligence

We are in the Peninsula, and the game starts at the Xibingku Hotel! The Peninsula, Capital City, suburbs.

Somewhere in an abandoned old factory, inside a cold storage room.

“Drip... Drip-drop!”

A foul smell of rotting pork wafted into Lee Se-hyun’s nose, making him frown. This smell was a bit overwhelming!

Where was this moldy dead pig smell coming from???

Lee Se-hyun was forced to open his eyes, groggily looking around. The unfamiliar surroundings made him a little uneasy.

He remembered he was doing deliveries, wasn’t he? How did he end up in an abandoned factory in the blink of an eye?

Lee Se-hyun tried to get up but found himself tied to a chair, unable to move at all.

Where did they take me? Is this even my country!!!

“Speak! Are you going to speak or not?!”

A scream came from beside Lee Se-hyun.

“Ah! Ah ah... Ah ah ah!!!”

Lee Se-hyun looked at his friend beside him, who was screaming, in surprise, feeling a lingering fear. My goodness, what’s going on? Is this a movie set?

The person was soaked, covered in horrifying wounds, with no intact skin. Lee Se-hyun couldn’t help but click his tongue, thinking, ’Brother, your acting is so good, it looks so real.’

Uh... something’s not right? Lee Se-hyun looked around and didn’t see anyone carrying cameras. Where’s the production crew? Didn’t they say the director personally guides every scene?

Why are there only a handful of actors?

Oh no! Could he have been kidnapped?!!!

He heard online that certain organ traffickers were quite ruthless. Lee Se-hyun subconsciously reached for his kidneys, finding both still intact, and let out a sigh of relief.

You scared me to death~

As long as the kidneys are there, I’m alive. Life without kidneys is pretty much ruined.

Worse than a second-degree disability.

“Prosecutor Li, I truly admire your courage.”

“The military has an old saying, it’s... ’A wise man submits to circumstances!’”

“I’m sure that after trying various torture instruments, I will pry open your mouth!”

An old man with graying hair, dressed in a suit and tie, looking like a business elite, sinisterly fiddled with various torture instruments at the corner of his mouth.

Let alone the person being tortured, Lee Se-hyun, watching from the side, felt his hair stand on end at the sight of those strange tools.

Are they playing for such high stakes?!!!

“Come, come over here and I’ll tell you.”

The old man in the suit showed a joyful expression, quickly stepped forward, leaned in front of the person, and put on an attentive look.

“Heitui!”

A mouthful of thick, millennia-old phlegm, like salty soda, accurately hit the old man in the suit’s face.

The old man in the suit didn’t make a fuss, pulled out a handkerchief, calmly wiped his face, but his expression was terrifyingly grim.

“Give our Prosecutor a good welcome.”

Soon, the wonderful screams sounded again.

“Ah!! Ah ah!! Ah ah ah!!!”

The person couldn’t bear it and fainted directly. The subordinate carrying out the torture brought a bucket of water, trying to wake him with cold water, but found it was useless.

The subordinate went up and used his index finger to check the person’s breath, only to find he wasn’t breathing.

“Dead? He’s dead?!”

This announcement of death from the subordinate made the old man in the suit a bit stunned. He hadn’t even started, so how was it already over?

Lee Se-hyun witnessed a murder scene with his own eyes. He thought, ’It’s over,’ and wondered if he would be next.

Suddenly, a surge of electricity coursed through Lee Se-hyun’s mind, and memories flooded in like a tide.

He... he actually transmigrated?!!!

He transmigrated to a certain Peninsula Country, into the body of a small sibal.

Lee Se-hyun looked at the person beside him, who had just died not long ago. It was his elder brother, his biological brother, Lee Kyung-hyun.

Lee Kyung-hyun was a Prosecutor in The Peninsula. Unlike Lee Se-hyun, who slacked off all day, Lee Kyung-hyun was a top student from a young age, displaying an extraordinary ability to compete.

He eventually rose from a small-town test-taker to a Prosecutor in The Peninsula. The inspirational extent of his story was no less than that of Jack Ma or Elon Musk.

Due to historical issues, the word ’Prosecutor’ in The Peninsula was synonymous with immense power.

They were an existence no one dared to provoke. In The Peninsula, there were three types of people you couldn’t offend: first, the Chaebol; second, the soldiers; and the last one was the Prosecutor.

When a Prosecutor got serious, he dared to send even his direct superior, President, to prison, holding an ’iron rice bowl’ (a secure job), which shows how arrogant they could be.

Now, Lee Kyung-hyun, this Prosecutor, died in an obscure corner, killed by thugs.

Lee Se-hyun cursed, ’These little thugs really dared to do it.’

During Chun Doo-hwan’s heyday, he fought the Chaebol like they were mere coins. He was wary of the Prosecutors’ power and didn’t dare to move against them much. In the end, he made a wrong move and was sent to prison by a Prosecutor to ’eat an iron rice bowl.’

The era of the generation’s hero, Chun Doo-hwan, thus came to an end.

“Sibal!”

The man in the suit grabbed a subordinate by his tie, used all his strength, slapped him, and cursed, “Who told you to kill him?!!!”

“Kill a Prosecutor? Do you know how serious that crime is?!!!”

The subordinate was dumbfounded, covering his bleeding mouth. ’Didn’t you tell me to hit harder? Now that he’s dead, you’re blaming me? If you weren’t the boss, I would’ve fought back, sibal!’

The man in the suit wasn’t satisfied with just slapping. He picked up a hammer-like torture instrument nearby and literally sent the scapegoat subordinate to his death.

Bang! Bang!

“Chairman Shi, please calm down!”

Several subordinates rushed over to restrain Chairman Shi, but they didn’t dare to truly pull him, fearing accidental injury.

Chairman Shi was already old and his body couldn’t take it. Soon, he was panting, put down the hammer, and sat on the ground. Those few hammer blows had drained him.

Lee Se-hyun gasped. He had just witnessed a murder, and now another one, a live broadcast in real-time. This Chairman Shi was truly a ruthless person!

“Chairman Shi, what about this person next to him?” a subordinate asked, pointing at Lee Se-hyun.

Chairman Shi followed the subordinate’s gaze, scrutinizing Lee Se-hyun with a sinister look, like a hunter sizing up his prey, which made Lee Se-hyun feel uncomfortable.

“Dispose of him.”

Huh?!!! Lee Se-hyun’s life was so casually decided by Chairman Shi. The subordinate received the order, picked up a hammer from the ground, which still had traces of color on it.

With that, he prepared to give Lee Se-hyun a few blows to send him to his death.

“Ah! Don’t come near me!!!”

Thanks for the invitation, I’m in The Peninsula, starting in the Seobinggo Hotel.

A luxurious double room package, personally served by the hotel owner, very thoughtful. Two customers have already given five-star reviews, and a third five-star review will be received soon.

The good news is, he’s still alive!

The bad news is, he’s about to be killed!

Lee Se-hyun didn’t even have a chance to escape. Tied to the chair, his struggles were useless.

Could it be that he had just transmigrated, hadn’t even had time to experience the customs of The Peninsula, and was about to transmigrate again?

If this was the kind of rebirth...

He’d rather not have it!!!
