Peninsula: Director of Public Prosecutions Starts with Daily Intelligence

Star Prosecutor Project! (Seeking monthly ticket)Daily Intel: None (Refreshable)

Lee Se-hyun understood. It must be that his identity as a Prosecutor had solidified. Originally, he was an imposter, but now, all the surrounding relationships and connections had been properly managed.

Even if someone found out that Lee Kyung-hyun was gone and came forward to report that the current Prosecutor was his younger brother, Lee Se-hyun, impersonating him, what then?

Not to mention that the crazy Park Yeonjin wouldn’t be able to accept losing her status as a prosecutor’s wife.

Above him, he had Minister Han Qiangzhi as a backer, supporting him, and was friends with Chief Prosecutor Yang Dong-cheol and District Prosecutor Seo Taesoo, gradually weaving a vast network of connections.

No one would care who was sitting there; they would only care if Lee Se-hyun could bring them benefits and fulfill their needs.

Therefore, the system acknowledged Lee Se-hyun’s position as a Prosecutor, removed the ’fake’ prefix, and successfully upgraded the Intel function.

”Refresh!”

Ding! Intel refreshed successfully, with the following three entries.

1. In a trash can on the eighth floor of the Capital City Central High Prosecutor’s Office, there is a valuable lottery ticket hidden.

Lottery ticket???

The eighth floor is where Minister Han Qiangzhi’s office is located. I can go up and check it out later.

Valuable? Just how valuable!

System intel upgrades with the improvement of social status. The higher the status, the higher and more detailed the value of the intel.

2. Kim Taewon, the CEO of Chengying Entertainment Group, discovered that his wife was having an affair with his older brother, Professor Kim. He bribed his driver and is now planning to send assassins to kill him!

Good, good, this is good! I was just worried about having no fish in my hands, and now the fish are biting themselves. This is free merit, why not take it?

The stepping stone to Chief Prosecutor, isn’t it here?

Kim Taewon, CEO of Chengying Entertainment Group, right? He’s even killing his own brother. The entertainment industry is truly a mess!

Lee Se-hyun shook his head. Regardless of whether Professor Kim was dead or not, he was determined to catch Kim Taewon!

Lee Se-hyun looked at the last piece of intel. Today’s harvest was quite abundant. Even if the last one was trash intel, he would accept it; the second one alone was enough.

The others were just extras, like freebies with a phone top-up.

3. The Federal Government has launched the Entertainment Culture God-Making Project. To accommodate the plan, the Peninsula Federation’s Ministry of Culture has decided to launch the Star Prosecutor and Star Police Chief projects.

Star Prosecutor project???

Lee Se-hyun was puzzled. This ’Star’ and ’Prosecutor’ didn’t go together at all. Was it to make Prosecutors go live stream, ride the popularity, and engage in PKs to become internet celebrity stars?

That’s too absurd.

Is the Federal Government that powerful? This world isn’t just for show; when a policy is issued, the countries below actually have to implement it.

It truly lives up to its name; it’s finally not just a mascot.

Lee Se-hyun didn’t think much about it and called Cheng Du to go to the eighth floor of the building with him.

Upon finding the trash can indicated by the system intel, Lee Se-hyun frowned. The smell was truly sibal authentic, a pungent odor of rotten kimchi.

Lee Se-hyun motioned for Cheng Du to empty the trash can. A tattered lottery ticket stood out among the piles of kimchi.

”A’Du, do you trust Brother Xian?”

”Huh?” Cheng Du felt a bit surprised.

”Chungcheng!” Cheng Du used his actions to show his attitude.

Trust him? Of course! A soldier’s duty is to obey orders, even if Lee Se-hyun told him to assassinate Han Kang-sik... well, he might hesitate for a moment.

”Trust Brother Xian, gain eternal life... ah no, gain money.”

Lee Se-hyun pointed at the lottery ticket on the ground, which still had some half-eaten kimchi stuck to it.

”Eww... you kimchi people are so uncivilized!”

”A’Du, I’m not boasting, but this lottery ticket is worth at least ten thousand xia country currency!”

”I mean at least! Take it to the lottery shop to claim the prize, and I guarantee you’ll make a fortune, worth several months of your salary.”

Lee Se-hyun cajoled. The intel given by the system couldn’t be false, that was impossible. ”Valuable” meant valuable; the system would never exaggerate. If this lottery ticket wasn’t even worth ten thousand, then Cheng Du could only consider himself unlucky.

A cleaning lady passing by showed a look of disgust. Why were these Prosecutors rummaging through the trash can?! They’d made the floor dirty again, forcing her to clean it again later.

”Excuse me, cleaning auntie! Could you help clean up here? Thank you for your hard work,” Lee Se-hyun waved.

The cleaning lady immediately changed her expression, fawning, ”Oh, Prosecutor sir, what are you talking about? This is our job, not hard, not hard at all.”

Not hard, just a hard life.

Cheng Du gritted his teeth, held his breath, and quickly reached out to grab the lottery ticket, not even blinking.

He believed Lee Se-hyun wouldn’t lie to him or make fun of him. Such was his unconditional trust in someone.

Lee Se-hyun nodded, seeing that his position in Cheng Du’s heart was quite high.

Lee Se-hyun originally wanted to encourage him and pat Cheng Du’s shoulder, but due to the bioweapon-like gas, he instinctively withdrew his hand.

”Well done, A’Du. Keep the prize money from this lottery ticket for yourself; you don’t need to give it to me.”

Cheng Du nodded, ready to go to the nearest lottery shop to claim the prize, fearing that if he held it any longer, his hand would be unusable.

It had already been taken over by the evil kimchi aura.

Lee Se-hyun felt a little amused. The system really isn’t human! It can even come up with this kind of intel.

He would rather not earn this lottery money; who needs your small change?

”Oh? Brother Shixian, why are you here?”

The voice belonged to our old acquaintance, Senior Yang Dong-cheol.

Lee Se-hyun smiled, ”Senior, I’m just... bored and getting some fresh air.”

The cleaning lady sweeping the floor nearby muttered in her heart, ’You sibal are playing with the trash can! Don’t think I didn’t see you! You were the one who overturned the trash can.’

Yang Dong-cheol nodded, smelled the kimchi scent on the floor, and frowned, ”I happen to be going to Minister Han’s place. Would you like to come along?”

Yang Dong-cheol wanted to thoroughly understand Lee Se-hyun’s bottom line. Was he Minister Han Qiangzhi’s illegitimate son or something, to have such great honor?

He knew that the Chief Prosecutor spot Han Kang-sik held was actually intended for Lee Se-hyun, which shocked him.

To become Chief Prosecutor in two and a half years?

What did that make him, who had worked himself to death for ten years to become Chief?

Either this seemingly harmless young man had an extraordinary background, or he was a very close relative of Han Kang-sik.

”Wouldn’t that be inconvenient? Wouldn’t it delay your business, Senior?” Lee Se-hyun refused.

Yang Dong-cheol smiled, ”How could it? This matter concerns you.”

”Concerns me?” Lee Se-hyun asked, puzzled.

”Don’t be nervous. It’s nothing bad; on the contrary, it’s a great, great thing! A huge joyous occasion.”

Joyous occasion? Lee Se-hyun thought about it. He hadn’t helped any old ladies cross the road recently, so why was there a sudden joyous occasion?

With this confusion, Lee Se-hyun followed Yang Dong-cheol to Han Kang-sik’s office.
