Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

The light on the Diadem seemed to draw people in. As soon as Evan’s eyes fell on the sapphire, he felt that his irritable emotions and mood that had just been caused by witnessing the deaths of the Baron and Helena suddenly calmed down, as if these things had never happened. His emotions were as calm and serene as if he had just finished meditating, completely devoid of ripples.

But his thoughts were not as calm as his mood. Instead, they became unusually active and sharp.

Many things he previously couldn’t figure out now seemed to be clear to him!

Without deliberately trying to think, Evan found his thought processes exceptionally clear. In this state, it felt like no problem could stump him. A few particularly difficult magical questions, puzzles he had mulled over countless times without any clue, now seemed to present answers effortlessly as soon as he thought about them.

This was really unbelievable. At this moment, Evan clearly felt his intelligence increasing.

“This is……”

Ravenclaw’s Diadem was said to make people smarter, and perhaps this was what it felt like.

But Evan could tell that this was not just a simple enhancement of intelligence. The key was his newfound emotional stillness. It seemed as though nothing could disturb his composure. No matter what happened before him, he would not experience the slightest emotional fluctuation — no anger, no joy, not even a trace.

This was highly unusual and was definitely not a mere side effect of increased intelligence.

This was Lady Ravenclaw’s bloodline magic: the cold, absolute wisdom!

The magic within the sapphire, combined with Lady Ravenclaw’s will embedded within it, had stripped Evan of all emotions. He was now immune to the influence of joy, anger, sorrow, or happiness. His thoughts were governed purely by reason, which was why he had suddenly felt so calm.

This was not simply calmness, but he had no emotions now!

He was in a strange realm, feeling not like himself, or even a normal person, but a completely rational, emotionless person, just like putting the thoughts related to the name “Evan” into a cold mechanical body.

To test this, Evan tried recalling Hermione, Voldemort, and other things that would normally make him happy or angry. But he quickly discovered that in this state, Hermione and Voldemort felt exactly the same to him.

Thinking of Hermione did not bring warmth, sweetness, or happiness.

Thinking of Voldemort did not incite anger or hatred.

As wisdom increased, “emotionality” would gradually decrease.

When wisdom reached its peak, all emotions disappeared at the same time.

Evan was in such a state that he could control himself at will and make decisions wisely without being affected by any emotions.

It was not until he looked away from the sapphire that he felt these lost emotions again. They came back all at once, back into Evan’s body — the surprise and shock of finding Ravenclaw’s complete Diadem, the sadness and heaviness of witnessing the death of the Baron and Helena, and because…

All these emotions came back, and at the same time, Evan’s thought process slowed down.

He no longer had that feeling of sudden enlightenment, and everything returned to normal, but Evan did not feel any regrets, because he felt the reality again, and this was himself.

That earlier state had only left him with a feeling of dread.

Driven by some inexplicable force within him, the raven Evan had become, leapt into the hollow of the tree and landed before Ravenclaw’s Diadem.

He lowered his head and gently touched the Diadem with his beak. With a click, the sapphire and the crown separated. The pale golden glow on the crown and the strange magic around it disappeared, and it quickly changed into the ordinary appearance that Evan had seen before, with only the raven’s eyes on it flashing a strange and bright red light.

The raven grabbed the sapphire that had fallen beside him, spread his wings, and flew away.

He soared toward the moon, the tree and the clearing where Helena and the Baron had died receding behind him.

Evan passed through the clouds, and before him was nothing but the enormous, silvery full moon.

The sapphire he was holding tightly flashed, and just like earlier in the office at Hogwarts, the world before him shattered. It fragmented into countless tiny shards, peeling away layer by layer. When everything collapsed entirely, Evan found himself back at Hogwarts.

Now, he could finally control his body again, no longer bound within the raven.

Evan was sitting in a chair, and opposite him was Lady Ravenclaw.

He rubbed his eyes. Everything that had just happened seemed like a dream. Whether it was witnessing the death of the Baron and Helena, or abandoning all emotions and entering the realm of absolute wisdom when he saw the complete Diadem, it all felt unreal to him, but all the details were in his mind.

It was both real and dreamy, and Evan didn’t even know how to evaluate his “trip” just now.

No matter how hard he thought about it, it was impossible for him to reach the Albanian forest thousands of miles away in an instant and accurately find Helena hiding there, and then witness the Baron kill Helena. Yet he had indeed brought back the sapphire.

Yes, the sapphire was now in Lady Ravenclaw’s hand.

On the table next to her, The Book of Abraham was also placed there.

It seemed that Helga Hufflepuff had finished her research during Evan’s absence.

“Helga just had the house-elf deliver this book to you. She asked me to thank you. This book has been very helpful to her. Well, I think we won’t see her for a while.” Noticing Evan’s gaze, Ravenclaw explained, “Helga will lock herself in her room until she finishes her research.”

“Research?! Research on The Book of Abraham?”

“This book only gave her some inspiration. What she studies is mainly some prophecies and methods on how to reach that world. Helga is an expert in this area,” said Ravenclaw simply, “Alright, put this book away, Evan. It is a vital item and will play a key role in fighting those terrible beings. I believe the ancient prophet who left it for you foresaw what would happen in the future and made sure it would end up in your hands.”

“Hmm!” Evan nodded. From a certain perspective, those ancient prophets were all terrifyingly powerful.

They did not foresee the future casually, but as long as it was related to them, the ancient prophets would definitely sense it and prepare in advance. For example, Abraham had a close connection with the evil gods. He had been to that world and seen an evil god’s true form, which might very well be the same one Evan had encountered.

It made sense, then, that Abraham would foresee events tied to this being and decide to leave The Book of Abraham for Evan.

Even though there were thousands of years between their lives, Abraham was fully capable of doing this.

Evan had witnessed the immense power of the ancient prophet many times, but this was not his focus now.

He looked at Ravenclaw, wanting to talk to her about what he had just seen in the Albanian forest.
