Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

Evan was extremely persistent in his pursuit of power and held firmly to his own principles.

Whether it was collecting ancient magic books, using a Time-Turner to learn these arcane knowledge, brewing potions and practicing magic countless times, or going on dangerous adventures in ancient ruins around the world, looking for the secrets left by the Four Founders, etc., these were all manifestations of Evan’s pursuit of power.

In this way, he became stronger and stronger.

However, under Dumbledore’s influence, Evan did not actually view power as the ultimate goal.

His pursuit of power was not driven by a desire to inspire fear or dominate others but rather to better protect the things he wished to safeguard. He also firmly believed that goodness would triumph over evil, and this triumph was not merely about comparing the strength of opposing forces.

Without understanding love, even the greatest power would only turn one into a “monster.”

When you defeat one monster, you risk becoming the very “monster” you once sought to destroy. Just like in that famous parable: ‘The knight who slayed the dragon became the very monster he once fought.’, an infinite cycle with no end.

‘He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.’

Without understanding these truths, and simply seeking to overcome power with greater power, then things would become even more terrifying. To truly end such cycles, one must rely on wisdom and the beautiful things in life. …

That said, Dumbledore could achieve this because he planned everything meticulously.

The plans he secretly devised against Voldemort had long placed Harry in an invincible position. Even after his death, as long as Harry followed the path he had laid out, he would still achieve victory, ultimately defeating Voldemort with “love” and the power of beautiful things.

Did Ravenclaw reveal all this to Evan with the same plan in mind?!

From the current situation, it was clear that the Four Founders had indeed planned extensively.

By using the search for the keys to the secret treasure as a method, they continued to guide Evan even a thousand years later. However, Evan still could not see how he was supposed to stop the evil gods. Could the entire solution lie within the secret treasure left behind by the Four Founders?!

“Some things are not for us to worry about, but some things must be stopped,” said Ravenclaw calmly, seemingly reading Evan’s thoughts. “As I have told you, those creatures of the Void and the evil they represent constantly influence our world. The most concerning are the beacons left behind by ancient sorcerers. As long as these beacons exist, the descent of the evil gods’ true forms remain a possibility, and this is what we must worry about. Evan, you have encountered one such beacon.”

“Yes, the evil god statue; it’s right there…”

“In the temple within the swamp near Hogwarts,” said Ravenclaw, still smiling. “We are aware of the beacon’s existence, of course. This land and the castle, before becoming Hogwarts, were for generations the domain of the Slytherin family. There’s no way they wouldn’t know what lies on this land. In fact, as a family descended from ancient warlocks, the Slytherins have been guarding this place since the end of the last magical era. Similarly, the Ravenclaw family shares the same responsibility.”

“The Slytherin and Ravenclaw families have been guarding the evil god statue all this time?!” Evan asked in shock.

He had initially thought the Four Founders were unaware of the statue’s existence, but on reflection, how could that be?

The statue was so close to Hogwarts that even the Centaurs had discovered it. It was impossible for the Four Founders, with their level of power and knowledge, to be unaware.

Now, Evan could finally be sure: the appearance of the evil god statue was undoubtedly part of the Four Founders’ plan.

Of course, it was their plan, but hearing Ravenclaw confirm it personally gave it undeniable weight.

“Originally, five ancient Wizarding families jointly guarded this beacon. However, three of those families have since gone extinct, leaving only the Ravenclaw and Slytherin families.”

“What about Professor Gryffindor and Professor Hufflepuff?”

“Oh, they were more than willing to help us. Godric is our friend, and we have always been very close. The two of us began our studies together during our youth. He is a trustworthy and powerful wizard. As for Helga, I’ve already mentioned that she has the blood of the ancient Seers. All ancient Seers are natural enemies of those creatures, so she certainly wouldn’t stand idly by.”

“All right, so the purpose of you creating Hogwarts is to guard that statue?”

“No, the four of us founded Hogwarts to change the way of learning magic, and to reform the entire Wizarding World in this way. This is our dream. Of course, choosing this place for the school is indeed for the convenience of guarding that beacon. Personally, I would have preferred to establish the school on a remote, uninhabited island in the North Sea,” Ravenclaw said, pausing briefly before continuing. “Evan, I know you have a lot of questions about this matter. Long before you showed up last time, we were considering how to deal with that beacon. For a long time, that beacon has been the most unstable of all the beacons left over from ancient times. The sealing magic left by the ancient warlocks is about to lose its effect, and the ancient god it represents is so powerful that in the omen that Helga saw, he even really came…”

“Are you saying Voldemort actually managed to summon that evil god?!” Evan was shocked again.

“This incident did happen in the future that Helga saw. It may not necessarily occur in your time, and it may not be Salazar’s descendant who summons him, but it did happen. It is an inevitable future,” Ravenclaw continued. “We can take steps to delay its occurrence, but we cannot stop it entirely, nor can we destroy that beacon. Once the evil god represented by that beacon descends, no one will be able to stop him. This problem has plagued us for a long time — until I encountered the Titan of Time within the great vortex. As one of the ancient existences who originally sealed the ancient gods, he was willing to alter the rules to give us a chance to destroy this beacon, and that chance is you. We knew it the moment you first came here using the Time-Turner!”

Although it was still shocking, this explained the root of everything.

Why did everything become so complicated after Evan returned to Hogwarts a thousand years ago in his first year?

“You are our only chance, Evan. Once your time was confirmed, we made extensive preparations around it,” said Ravenclaw calmly. “Helga’s visions of the future also became much clearer. The location and time of the ancient god’s descent can now be pinpointed — it will happen at Hogwarts, during your era.”
