Harry Potter and the Secret Treasures

A sudden whirlwind engulfed him, and in the colorful, shifting space, countless clouds quickly receded past Evan.

For a moment, he was momentarily dazed, his thoughts seemingly left behind, unable to catch up.

By the time he regained his focus, the clouds around him disappeared and the speed of the shuttle rotation became slower and slower.

Evan’s feet landed on the ground again, and he returned to Hogwarts a thousand years ago!

It was the dead of winter, the coldest time of the year. Through the windows without glass panes, snow-covered scenery stretched outside. Yet, thanks to magic, the biting cold wind outside couldn’t blow in, and there was not even a sound.

The fireplace was not lit, yet Evan did not feel cold.

The noonday winter sunlight warmed his body, giving him a sense of comfort and ease.

The whole room was exceptionally quiet, with only the sound of his breathing filling the space.

Evan took a deep breath and looked around.

The Headmaster’s office before him had undergone a drastic transformation, turning into another scene from his memory.

Gone were Dumbledore’s intriguing silver instruments, the cozy furnishings, and the portraits of past Headmasters and Headmistresses that adorned the walls. In their place, the room was divided into four vividly colored sections, each with a large desk and unique decorations.

The colors made it clear which section belonged to which Founder.

The desk in front of Evan belonged to Helga Hufflepuff, who had received Evan here the last time he came.

The desk was piled with thick documents, test papers, magic books, and other documents, as well as Hufflepuff’s favorite golden Cup.

The drink in the golden Cup was still faintly steaming, indicating she hadn’t left long ago.

Perhaps, she had gone downstairs to attend the unveiling of Ravenclaw’s magical research results. In this era, wizards like Ravenclaw, who were willing to share their magical research results with others without reservation, were rare and remarkable.

As for the pile of messy documents on the desk, it was not surprising.

It was well-known that the daily management practices of the school fell on the youngest of the Founders, Hufflepuff, especially after the deaths of the other three founders, she became the first Headmistress of the school. During her tenure, she carried out many great reforms, making the Hogwarts education model recognized by the Wizarding World.

The Four Founders created Hogwarts, but Hufflepuff made it grow and prosper.

In this respect, she was much greater than the other three.

The desk on Evan’s left was in stark contrast to Hufflepuff’s desk.

That was Gryffindor’s office area, which Evan had also seen in his illusion. There was nothing on his desk, but the two silver-shining knight armors and the knight swords displayed in the cabinet behind his desk were particularly eye-catching. Godric was very fond of Muggle knight-style weapons and equipment.

He himself was also proficient in swordsmanship and had a large collection of weapons. He carried the goblin-made sword with him wherever he went.

Sometimes, he even donned full armor, making him look more like a knight than a wizard.

There were many legends about this in later generations.

For example, when fighting against Gryffindor, one should not only be wary of his magic but also be especially cautious of his sword.

Because compared to his magic, Gryffindor was also a master of swordsmanship.

He was better at using the sword in close combat to eliminate his enemies.

It sounded ridiculous that a famous wizard would fight in the Muggle way.

But the rumor was very credible, as Evan knew that Gryffindor had fought a Cyclops before.

The battle began with magic, but in the end, Gryffindor won with sword.

He thrust his scabbard into the Cyclops’s eye, severely wounding it.

Over the course of a thousand years, the scabbard absorbed the power of lightning, becoming a formidable magical artifact…

Evan had seen a Cyclops in a dying state, and the remaining power in its body was terrifying.

It was hard to imagine how Gryffindor had managed to defeat it, either by magic or swordsmanship.

As expected, the section to the left of Gryffindor’s area was Ravenclaw’s office!

That was very easy to identify because the most common things in this area were magic books, and there were books everywhere.

It was said that after Rowena Ravenclaw’s death, the majority of her collection was placed in the library within the Ravenclaw common room. This included numerous rare, out-of-print magic tomes and her own research findings.

Compared to the rumor that Gryffindor was good at sword fighting, this story seemed less plausible.

After all, these magic books were so precious.

After Ravenclaw’s death, they would likely have been housed in the school’s main library rather than confined to one House’s library.

Despite this, the collection of books in the Ravenclaw common room should not be underestimated.

Evan had heard from Luna before that the collection of books in their House library was about one-third of that in the school library.

Most of the books were donated by students of Ravenclaw House, but it was still possible that some of Rowena Ravenclaw’s personal collection remained there.

Over the centuries, many students had tried to find those books. There was a story that Rowena Ravenclaw left a book there for her heir, an omniscient book that could answer any question as long as it was written in it.

It sounded a bit like Riddle’s diary. Evan didn’t know whether the legendary magic book had its own soul, because no one had ever found it, but it could not be denied that there might really be something in that library.

The founders of Raven’s Claw, a group of fanatical Ravenclaws, found the revelation of doomsday in that place.

In other words, if that record was correct, it was very likely that information related to evil gods was once stored there.

This implied that Ravenclaw might have studied the evil gods and left behind her research findings…

Another of the Four Founders who had conducted in-depth research on the evil gods was Salazar Slytherin, a man who dared to dissect an evil god.

He was also famous for his great strength, passion for power, hatred of Dark wizards and Muggles, holding grudges and protecting his own shortcomings. Just think about it, after hearing the news that Evan had made public that he had left a Basilisk for his descendants, Slytherin went a step further and left them with a terrifying piece of Dark magic capable of transforming one into an evil god, as if things weren’t chaotic enough already.

To be honest, Evan really didn’t know what Slytherin was thinking!

He turned around and looked at the office area of the last Founder, which was really astonishing.

On Slytherin’s desk, the caduceus was lying quietly, just as it had been in Gryffindor’s illusion.

This huge scepter was dark gold in color, and the two giant pythons on it were emerald-green, tightly encircling it from top to bottom.

The serpents’ eyes and mouths were closed, but the scepter itself exuded an indescribable aura.

Just like what he’d seen in the Gryffindor illusion, Evan was attracted by the inexplicable energy and moved closer to it.

He had not expected Slytherin to leave such an important object lying so casually here.

Based on the information gathered so far, the importance of the Caduceus was unquestionable, hiding crucial secrets.

Did Slytherin leave it here because he believed this office was completely secure? Or did he think no one could take the staff away?!
